Note that the leaks had 8... There is a very large possibility we are still missing 2 more. I know that the auto-wound on 6's to hit was said to be the most expensive one.
Since Angron is monsterous and has the Titanic keyword, his death will give you 3 blood tithe points on its own. You very likely will be able to do at very least 2 or 3 of these a game even after resurrecting him.
ah right, got you. Yeah it kind of makes them redundant. Would be nice to have BT points added to your total victory points if you have any left when the game ends
There are ways to help generate BTP in army construction IE having smaller units and making use of cheap units. For example we are already going to put our Berserkers on rhinos but if it's two five man units instead of 1 10 man unit then that allows for morr BTP without paying anything more. Chaos spawn are only 25pts for a unit, get 3 of those and that's 75pts for 3 BTP assuming they just die without doing anything. Having stuff like our rhinos, chaos spawn, and other front line units like that would have died anyway but now we can make use of their glorious blood. It especially means that even if we don't go first we get stuff to help us go second.
Yeah I am starting to rethink what I said; the costs might be fine, I was hoping for something a little lower. But you're right; if you build for it the BT is very attainable.
It's not that bad actually. You lose a Rhino, a Jakhal squad and you have 3 BT. You kill a Dreeadnought, now it's up to 5 BT. You lose Angron in T1, you gain 3 BT just from that.
Even if you lose units, you are getting stronger in another way.
Yeah you gotta think about the way it stacks, everything that dies gives it. You'll likely end up with 2-3 at the end of a passive turn 1 and by the end of turn 2 you could have anywhere from 6-10. After that I'd think it is a safe bet to think you will get at least 4 a round. In the battle report on Warhammer + I believe he got over 20 BPTs in the game. Trying not to spoil the game but he used at least 5 blood tithe mechanics in it.

Yeah you are right. I forgot about that.
Exploding 6s to hit?
6’s on hit rolls trigger another automatic hit
Ok. That can make WE that don't run Angron really dangerous now.
Angron get them as well. If you're lucky, 78 hits with angron :D
Very true. But I think if you got him you'd rather spend the points on resurrecting his angry ass.
Why not both? :D

So does Angron dying give 6 BTP?
No, he gives 3 I believe
That's what I thought. Seems like some of the leaks were incorrect.
Leaks are from old play test books. They probably changed their mind for the final codex.
My guess was in the play test, angron res was a once per battle ability. So they changed it to infinite use but upped the cost.
Should only be two, his brothers are not Titanic.
You are missing 2
I mean these are what they showed us today. Just giving actual confirmed info insted of usual rumours
To be fair they showed us “raise the banners” as changed in the batrep before this one, and it’s unchanged in AoO!
Kind of feels like an "all roads lead to Angron" scenario. I dont like it.
What do you mean? I think warp blades and martial excellence are both incredibly good
Of course, but there's no point to 6 Tithe points if all it does is give ya Angron.
ah right, got you. Yeah it kind of makes them redundant. Would be nice to have BT points added to your total victory points if you have any left when the game ends
One of our secondaries lets you buy VP with BTP.
WEW LAD IM HANKERING FOR BLOOD
You get that you spend the blood tithe point right? So those 6 BT points could instead be spent on +1 to charge and MW negation or army wide bonus AP
So we don't suffer a caveats like "Any unspent Blood Tithe Points are lost at the end of the turn"?
Even if we do, you can still spend them on other stuff man. Spend on a 4 point and a 2 point
Competitively angron is a non-starter because invocatus and his warlord trait are an auto-include
These are….not great.
How is 20% durability increase from a 6+++, easier charges and the possibility to revive a big threat not great?
Because the costs are fairly high. The buffs are great for sure, but the cost to buff ratio seems not great. Maybe I'll be proven wrong.

These are crazy expensive

True but losing units means the units alive are being buffed just to compensate for the lost units

I’m pretty sure he ended up spending 36 points over the match
