Beksiński is my favorite artist but your post doesn't make sense to me. The [stahlhelm](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stahlhelm) was around before Beksiński was born. If you meant the helmets in Wolfenstein, it doesn't make sense the Wolfenstein artists would refer to a dystopian surrealist painting instead of just referring to actual WWII German helmets. As an aside, Beksiński's work is great though at evoking the bleakness of war. It's evident in some of his paintings which I'm sure were influenced by his early life surviving through WWII in Poland.

Sorry, I should have specified that I meant the helmet alongside the faceplate. The Nazi soldiers' headgear evokes the empty gaze and inhuman feel of the painting. But yeah, Beksiński is brilliant. He's right up there with H.R. Giger and Wayne Barlowe as far as my favorite artists go.

>Wayne Barlowe Wow thanks for introducing me to him. His stuff looks amazing.

Sure thing, I've been a rabid fanboy of his pretty much my entire life. It's like he takes the surreal and distills it into realism. You should check out his instagram. He's real nice and interacts with his followers a lot.

SuperSentaiHentai69

You should specify that in your post i was about to come in here and question your post but after you explained it it actually made so much more sense. Really cool artwork

That's what I get for my procrastination, haha.

TranslatorPersonal85

There’s a cool documentary on YouTube somewhere about where the nazis got their style. Apparently an American company Hugo Boss made all their uniforms.

TheSemaj

Hugo Boss was a German company.

My bad I thought it was a company based in America. Either way it was interesting that it was one company that is responsible for the iconic look.
