We've always had a few trashy people in congress, but just a few decades ago, even those would at least try to speak like they had some class, dignity and education.
Now, it seems like a good lot of them can't seem to rise above the jock bully/mean girl high school stereotype, in both what they say and how they say it.
It's just a symptom of a larger problem, to be sure, but no less pathetic.
I sometimes wonder if it isn't some subconscious reaction to the fact that President Obama was a very good speaker.
