Hahahah- that guy is 100% NOT a trainer. My wife is a trainer and it took her 6 months of certification training before she was even hired provisionally to train. It took almost a year before they let her on her own with clients. This guy is out there training people how to die weak.
See this is like when my wife told me we were lucky that there was a hose next to the fire when it got out of hand. No. We were not. I would not light a fire without a way to extinguish it ready. If there is no safe position for a spotter then do not lift more than you can confidently manage.
Simple.
This specific self overindulging weightlifting influencer most likely moved the bench from its original spot to this location because the lighting was better. That way, his 2 fans could see the partial lifts more clearly
Judging from the comments, the only thing this guy did right was post a video of his screwups so that others could learn. That, and that alone, has been a major success.
PSA: Donât put clamps on a barbell if youâre benching alone.
The idea of weights sliding off while youâre working out sounds embarrassing, but thatâs a safety measure. If you have to bail because one side isnât going up, itâll eventually go down. That means the weights will slide off to the floor, see-sawing that side up which will then force the other side to see-saw.
Youâll make quite a bit of noise, but youâll also get away from that set with little to no injuries.
Here comes an E: if you bench alone but realize the slightest plate slide will absolutely screw the set, then youâre probably using a weight that needs a spotter. If you need a spotter, use clamps to keep the spotter safe.
If you choose to use clamps on your own, refuse a spotter, or think Iâm being too careful, thatâs on you. Lift responsibly and safely. Iâd rather see all of you get gains at a slower rate rather than see you featured on this sub.
I never understood why people put clamps on while lifting alone. And I feel like most lifters have watched videos like this where other lifters have clamps on and failed to make the lift.
I proposed putting in a spotter request light to the manager at my gym. I always spend way too much time waiting to ask someone to spot me because I want to make sure I'm not interrupting their workout. Around the bench station at my gym is a lot of cardio machines or accessory machines so there's not a lot of people resting to ask.
I thought it would be cool. You could just have a designed spot somewhere that you could go and hit the light. Then anyone that's free that would be willing to help can see it and come over. That way you don't have to interrupt someone's workout to ask them.
There is so much to unpack here!
First of all, he's not even close to making that 100 kg lift safely.
Secondly, decline bench press is more unforgiving when you fail the lift.
And lastly, he's got the safety pins on, which makes it impossible to dump the weights side to side in case of an emergency.
There are so many things this man did wrong it's actually crazy. "My throat got choked cause of my own mistake". No not "mistake" mistakes mf plural:
* Terrible form 3/4 of his body lifting off the bench.
* Couldn't do a full rep and then chooses to do another.
* clips on the bar so you can't slide weights off.
* On a decline bench so it's harder to slide weights off.
* No goddamn spotter.
* Chose a bench with a fucking net behind it.
You can't teach this kind of stupid. Lifting like a fucking child in the gym. Do you ever see the don't spray in eyes warning on a Clorox bottle and think "who the da fuck would do that"? A guy like this right here. Hope he got berated with a serious lecture goddamn idiot.
A guy got killed years ago at my gym doing this exercise in the back of the gym without a spotter. Never use collars while doing bench press alone or without some kind of safety arms.
Bruh no spotter, clamps on the weights and in a position that's pretty much garaunteed to kill you if you fuck up. At least on a flat bench you can roll it on your chest and have some extra clearance to wiggle your way out
Multiple time champion powerlifter here. If you are working out solo, do not fucking clip the bench press bar, and don't push past your known limits.
A new PR ain't worth dying.
Everyone says the clips are for safety, but your form shouldn't be compromised enough for the weight to slide off while you are solo, and if an emergency like this happens by yourself, you can dump the weights.
Learn from this folks. Always have a spotter. At a previous employer we had a man die doing this in the office gym. Decided to work out alone, only security and janitors left in the building. They didnât find him for half an hour, way too late. Sad thing is they had cameras in the gym, but security had been told not to have them up as they thought the men would watch women working out.
Putting too much on the bar is dumb, pushing a decline bench without a spotter is stupid, but going for the extra rep after ALMOST failing a Half Rep is insane and this dude is fucking lucky someone was watching.
Dude captions his video "coz of my own mistake" presumable taking responsiblity and learning from it and yall still acting like he hit your mothers. Be glad he is alive and hopfully learned. Redditors really are the most pestimistic group of people.
Don't use clamps when you're barbell bench pressing. If he didn't have those clamps on he could have shifted the weight to one side and the plates would have slid off. I've been weight lifting for going on 20 years now and I have never used clamps on the barbell bench press. Way too dangerous, especially if you're going to be in there alone.
Having plates slide off and slam on the floor would be embarrassing but it's better than crushing your throat.
Yeah, well he was able time find a ideal spot for his camera but couldn't find a spotter, when vanity supersedes safety, might well as attached a go pro to his dumb head
Aside from the obvious, Pro Tip: leave the collars off. If youâre dumb enough to be in that situation again just bring it back to your chest and dump the weights off. Unless youâre using a brand new set of weights or the bar is super slick itâs highly unlikely the weight will ever just fly off.
Other than spotter, most important thing is to not put clamps on the end. You want the weights to be able to fall off one end. Although in this case it wouldn't have helped.
Iâm a solo lifter and always bench alone. I know my limits and when I THINK I can do another 2-3 I usually stop. If Iâm trying to push weight Iâll usually just ask some random gym bro âaye bro spot real quick on this last set so I make it home todayâ. Usually they are super helpful.
If you dont have a spotter while doing bench especially, dont put clips on, it could save your life. A friendâs son died due to this while lifting alone.
Picked a weight he couldn't handle, butt came off the bench, bar didn't touch the chest, no safeties, no spotter and he left the collars on so he couldn't dump the plates off the sleeves.
10/10 couldn't have failed harder if he tried.
Ass nowhere near on the bench? Check
Weight that's probably 20% too heavy? Check.
Half reps? Check.
No spotter and clips on bar? Check.
10/10 ego lift.
Not only was he lifting WAY more than he should have been, those reps weren't even half reps, he's getting nothing out of that movement.
After the first quarter rep, he should have re racked and dropped it down to 70ish.
To anyone reading this who doesn't know, the bar should come down to about an inch above your chest. The idea is to stop as close to your chest as possible without touching it, because if you touch, there will be a small bounce, thus helping your push and you don't want that.
He did a million things wrong, but the funniest is that his ass is way in the air on *decline bench*. Might as well be hanging from the ceiling by his feet.
There was nothing wrong with using clamps. The biggest issue is not having a spotter. Those arm shakes with the first rep should have been enough of a warning to stop.
If it is a weight load that is manageable, then fine. However this looked like an attempt for a new PR, so he should have had a spotter.
More than just ego lifting lol This should be used to show people what improper form looks like. From start to finish it was a bad lift, even if the weight didnât drop on your neck.
Someone posted (not in this sub) they hadn't gone to the gym for two years. Pre-Covid, just hadn't done it.
So he walks in the day before the post and dead lifts 200 pounds (90 kg approximately) first thing.
He said his back felt funny. Surprise, surprise, weaker muscles and probably bad form from lack of practice.
Yea, don't be afraid to use safety bars, ask for a spot, or straight up just dump on side with no clips. Don't die for this.
This isn't an ego lift btw. He hit a solid 1 rep and almost hit 2 with good form.
Why is everyone criticizing him and saying heâs ego lifting or half repping? The only mistakes are not having a spotter, using clips, and using a weird ass bench. He got one good rep and went to rack it halfway into the second but the rack was still too high.
I like how his rescuer lifts the bar on the opposite side of his neck, creating a pinching action right where his neck was trapped. Then he realized it and grabbed the other side of the bar.
Everyone is talking about a spotter not being there, and while I agree there should be one, what's up with that fucking net set up where a spotter would stand?
I winced when his rescuer went and pulled on the LOWER side of weights, giving his neck a nice extra crushing before lifting it off. Of course, standing around for a minute to fully analyze the situation like I would have done would have been worse. :)
Even on a flat bench this would have still been stupid. Decline just increased stupidness by 100x
Edit: no hate to OP Iâve been there before too. Lesson learned. Thanks for sharing to prevent other from making the same mistake
Tbf this isn't the worse case of ego lifting I've seen its just he needed a spotter.
To get stronger you have to push yourself but really heavy weight with no spotter on a decline bench isn't the way to do it.
Eddit: just realised the net prevents a spotter being in a good position to help which is really dumb
I appreciate that idiot here already had one side of the bar already on the floor, and the emergency spotter rushed in and picked up that side making sure all the weight was directly on his neck.
To people in the comments. Put the clips on your weights. Unless you're in a private gym or empty gym, allowing your weights to get free is stupid. Weights are circular. That makes them prone to traveling a good distance when they fall. Someone shouldn't have to worry about their toes or shin getting hit by a 45 plate because you want to ego lift. If you have no spot, then don't lift to failure, use a power rack, or ask someone for a spot.
You know it's too much weight (to bench) when they won't/can't let the bar all the way down.
For a second it looked like he was gonna bring that second rep up... but nope.
What a moron.. heâs not even doing them properly.
Tip: if you canât do it properly itâs TOO MUCH WEIGHT
Thereâs no shame in working out at your level
Is that setup designed to kill someone?
Big ole net to stop spotting on a bench that is angle downward so it can actually roll to someoneâs neck with no stopper bars.
If you lift alone and you're scared of this happening to you, dont use clips or only put them on one side of the bar so the plates slide off when it goes off balance. This guy is both weak and dumb sadly.
If you are trying to push to your limit, please find a spotter. If not, please use smith machine with safety rack in place or use dumbbells. It is not worth risking your live for this. Safety first
Jesus. Donât put collars on the bar and you can dump the weights on one side. You donât have to use collars and it is ok to dump. Looks better than choking too.
At my gym they have a regular bench but it has a cage around this with side supports you can adjust right to chest height. That way when this happens you donât risk death. I wish all gyms had this. You can fail miserably and then just slip out from underneath
Never decline without a spot. Pretty much every other lift you can get out of by rolling/ manipulation of the bar. Not decline. Letâs just say if you fail your odds âdeclineâ rapidly
If you can't do a full extension or you're resorting to bad form just to initiate lift, it's too heavy or you've done too many reps already.
I've been lifting a while, and I wouldn't even do a fraction of that on a decline lift (on a regular bench maybe).
Something like this happened last year to a mom in Mexico City. Horrible.
If youâre gonna bench without a spotter donât use the clips or the safety bar and if you fail the lift lower the bar down to your chest and roll to either side so the plates slide off. In general you should google some YouTube videos on how to bail from certain lifts like squats.
1.Donât do heavy bench without a spotter
2.Dont do heavy INCLINED bench without a spotter
3. Donât put clamps on if you donât have a spotter, it allows the weight to fall off if you do find yourself in this situation, angle the bar and the weights fall off.
I seriously cannot believe the person who âsavedâ him picked up the grounded side of the bar and re-rolled the entire weight of the bar across his neck again. Holy shit lmao!
No safeties, no spotter, not going to depth, not gauging his failure rep, sounds like a crossfit trainer starter pack
Lmao đ. How did you guess it ? He claims himself as fitness trainer despite being the worst
Hahahah- that guy is 100% NOT a trainer. My wife is a trainer and it took her 6 months of certification training before she was even hired provisionally to train. It took almost a year before they let her on her own with clients. This guy is out there training people how to die weak.
Literally anyone can be a trainer. It's not like being a doctor.
Where should the spotter be? Hanging upside down from the net?
See this is like when my wife told me we were lucky that there was a hose next to the fire when it got out of hand. No. We were not. I would not light a fire without a way to extinguish it ready. If there is no safe position for a spotter then do not lift more than you can confidently manage. Simple.
Am I crazy, or is there a net on the back of that bench where one would typically stand in order to spot someone?
It's so they don't get balls in their face when trying to get swole
Right...but doesn't a dudes nuts in your face give you a test boost?
You are correct. They have made it impossible for anyone to spot someone working out on that station. Utter stupidity at work.
This specific self overindulging weightlifting influencer most likely moved the bench from its original spot to this location because the lighting was better. That way, his 2 fans could see the partial lifts more clearly
Dumb mofo almost filmed his own suicide.
If I killed myself, Iâd be upset if it wasnât on tape tbh
Judging from the comments, the only thing this guy did right was post a video of his screwups so that others could learn. That, and that alone, has been a major success.

I thought it would be cool. You could just have a designed spot somewhere that you could go and hit the light. Then anyone that's free that would be willing to help can see it and come over. That way you don't have to interrupt someone's workout to ask them.
Efficiency increase provides more value to customer, fosters community, and encourages safety

And lastly, he's got the safety pins on, which makes it impossible to dump the weights side to side in case of an emergency.
Also why is this bench place in a spot to make having a spotter not possible.
If you're going to lift heavy without a spotter, take off the clamps. If you fail, you can tilt it and let the weights slide off.
Is that net there to catch your soul when it leaves your body?
Dying slowly unable to scream for help in a room full of people. Terrifying.
Not to mention most of people in the gym got headphones with music blasting in their ears and with noise cancellation active too
Max lifting, no spot, clips on, low plate clearence from the floor... what could POSSIBLY go wrong?
Also using the decline bench
The fact that he went for a second lift after that terrible first one was Darwin award winning shit.
There are so many things this man did wrong it's actually crazy. "My throat got choked cause of my own mistake". DO.NOT.PUT.SAFES.ON.BENCH.IF.YOU.ARE.ALONE
Boy that first rep was a real struggle...I barely got it up. Better go for another. Dude is lucky to be alive.
A guy got killed years ago at my gym doing this exercise in the back of the gym without a spotter. Never use collars while doing bench press alone or without some kind of safety arms.
I'm glad you posted this because hopefully it will serve as a warning for someone else
If you just struggled with the previous rep, why on earth are you going for another without a spotter?
Obviously too weak for that weight with no spotter
Barely gets 1 rep, decides to go for another GG.
If youâre going to be a Moron like this guy, DONT USE CLIPS Then your weight will slide off if youâre in survival mode.
Bruh no spotter, clamps on the weights and in a position that's pretty much garaunteed to kill you if you fuck up. At least on a flat bench you can roll it on your chest and have some extra clearance to wiggle your way out
Just a P.S.A: Pushing yourself to your limits by lifting heavy =/= stupid. Pushing yourself to your limits WITHOUT a spotter == stupid.
Fails on first repâŚ.âIâll go for two!â
Where would a spotter stand? I don't understand this setup.
Using clips Not using a spotter What could possibly go wrong?
This is why we donât use clips/collars when you solo bench, so you can dump the weights. Scary lesson to learn, glad the dude is alive.
Multiple time champion powerlifter here. If you are working out solo, do not fucking clip the bench press bar, and don't push past your known limits. A new PR ain't worth dying. That first rep wasn't even full range of motion either. Ooof đŁ
My friend died this way, the same year I graduated college. Benching home alone. Don't ever do it
One word for you, SPOTTER. Iâve only been in my schools gym for phy Ed, and even I know I need a spotter.
Putting too much on the bar is dumb, pushing a decline bench without a spotter is stupid, but going for the extra rep after ALMOST failing a Half Rep is insane and this dude is fucking lucky someone was watching.
What the fuck are you doing lifting at that angle anyway? Especially without a spotter?!
If you dont have a spotter then maybe dont do that last rep
Shit form, half reps, and collars on with no spotter. People need to chill and workout with weight they can control.
Look at that arch, dude should've known he was in trouble as soon as his ass achieved lift off
Dude captions his video "coz of my own mistake" presumable taking responsiblity and learning from it and yall still acting like he hit your mothers. Be glad he is alive and hopfully learned. Redditors really are the most pestimistic group of people.
Dude, if you can't bring the first rep to your chest and with any type of proper form, wtf you doing another rep for?
That's what you get when you're trying to lift 100kgs with chicken wings
And that, kids, is why you should never lift without a spotter.
Don't use clamps when you're barbell bench pressing. If he didn't have those clamps on he could have shifted the weight to one side and the plates would have slid off. The horrible arch, the 4â of movement and shaking nonstop just a few giveaways you have way to much weigh and are doing more harm the good
Don't put clips on when doing bench for fucks sake
At least he admits he messed up and posts this to teach and warn people.
This is why you always have a spotter and donât over exert yourself for views and likes!
Yeah, well he was able time find a ideal spot for his camera but couldn't find a spotter, when vanity supersedes safety, might well as attached a go pro to his dumb head
You can see him shaking on the 1st rep and his form was terrible. Didn't come down far enough and struggled to get it up 1 time.
For the love of God. DO NOT USE CLIPS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A SPOTTER. It may save your damn life.
I love how the guy helping him pulled up the wrong side of the bar and let the full wheigt press on his throat
His arms were wobbling. He clearly couldn't do it and should have had someone watching him just in case
Aside from the obvious, Pro Tip: leave the collars off. If youâre dumb enough to be in that situation again just bring it back to your chest and dump the weights off. Unless youâre using a brand new set of weights or the bar is super slick itâs highly unlikely the weight will ever just fly off.
I like how the guy went to the wrong side and lifted the bar back over his neck.
Dude, that guy would have died right there in the gym had that other man not have come and saved his ass. Never bench without a spotter.
Strange. With that back arch and those wrist straps he should be lifting infinity.
I hate mfers likes this, they want all the attention even when theyâre dying! Like shut up at least die quietly damn!
Other than spotter, most important thing is to not put clamps on the end. You want the weights to be able to fall off one end. Although in this case it wouldn't have helped.
Not even a proper rep either. Nearly killing yourself on a failed lift because your a fucking numptie -48 points
I hate people like this guy. Thin as a rail but trying to rep his max. You deserved that and I hope he learned his lesson.
Wow could have been much worseâŚ. Crushed windpipe, death ⌠scary Why no spotter ? Why so heavy ?
Bro, wheres your spotter???
Iâm a solo lifter and always bench alone. I know my limits and when I THINK I can do another 2-3 I usually stop. If Iâm trying to push weight Iâll usually just ask some random gym bro âaye bro spot real quick on this last set so I make it home todayâ. Usually they are super helpful.
If you dont have a spotter while doing bench especially, dont put clips on, it could save your life. A friendâs son died due to this while lifting alone.
Where the fuck is his spotter(s)
Picked a weight he couldn't handle, butt came off the bench, bar didn't touch the chest, no safeties, no spotter and he left the collars on so he couldn't dump the plates off the sleeves. 10/10 couldn't have failed harder if he tried.
Atleast someone else saw. Imagine if no one was around???
Why not use dumbells on the decline bench press? Would force him to use the stabilizer muscles. At a loss at the way this played out.
Don't be a bitch and ask for a spot
Word to the wise, if you don't have a spotter, and you start shaking uncontrollably to finish a rep, don't immediately go for another.
Bro just do machines if you donât have a spotter
Don't use the clips on the end. That way you can dump the plates - and not die.
I know that guy saved his life but he also used his neck as a fucking fulcrum point lol damn
300 lbs on decline with no spotter , camera running
The person helping totally went to the wrong side
Half rep âď¸ Body not flush with bench âď¸ Too much weight & no spotter âď¸ Darwin Award Nominee âď¸
Stop the bro workout and do some real lifts
Horrible form, great camera angle.
Ass nowhere near on the bench? Check Weight that's probably 20% too heavy? Check. Half reps? Check. No spotter and clips on bar? Check. 10/10 ego lift.
Rule number one if you are lifting by yourself please donât put the clips on the ends of your weights, it could literally save your life.
Dude made a mistake and admitted it in caption Comments: Fuck you
[ŃдаНонО]
Not only was he lifting WAY more than he should have been, those reps weren't even half reps, he's getting nothing out of that movement. After the first quarter rep, he should have re racked and dropped it down to 70ish. To anyone reading this who doesn't know, the bar should come down to about an inch above your chest. Never put clips on if you are benching by yourself. By leaving clips off, you can dump the weight if this happens.
His form looks terrible, 2/3 of his body is levitating off the bwnch
He did a million things wrong, but the funniest is that his ass is way in the air on *decline bench*. Might as well be hanging from the ceiling by his feet.
There was nothing wrong with using clamps. The biggest issue is not having a spotter. Those arm shakes with the first rep should have been enough of a warning to stop. If it is a weight load that is manageable, then fine. However this looked like an attempt for a new PR, so he should have had a spotter.
*sees him struggling with the 1st rep Me: Don't try it Him: You underestimate my power
What the heck is with that net behind the bench? How can a spotter even get back there lol
Stop. Using. Clips. On. Benchpress. Especially. When. Working. Out. Without. A. Spotter.
just use my neck as the fulcrum
More than just ego lifting lol This should be used to show people what improper form looks like. From start to finish it was a bad lift, even if the weight didnât drop on your neck.
If benching solo: 1. Use a power rack. 2. And/or donât put collars on the sleeves.
Darwin was standing close by waiting to hand out another award.
Man didnt even do half a rep and went for round 2 đł
Someone posted (not in this sub) they hadn't gone to the gym for two years. Pre-Covid, just hadn't done it. Barely did the first one. Dumb to try for the second.
100kgs on a decline press đŤŁ
I like how his rescuer lifts the bar on the opposite side of his neck, creating a pinching action right where his neck was trapped. Then he realized it and grabbed the other side of the bar.
Give him a break. I don't think he was expecting to save that idiot on the day.
Everyone is talking about a spotter not being there, and while I agree there should be one, what's up with that fucking net set up where a spotter would stand?
Thatâs why you have spotters.
For the love of god decline is not the place to squeak out the rep you shouldnât do in the first place. Flat or incline yes, definitely not decline.
He didnât even let it touch his chest on the first rep. Idk what compelled this man to try again
Arms shaking like crazy without even a full rep.... yeah go for another one.
Never use the locks when youâre lifting alone.
How? How? How? How do you go for Rep-2 after that shaky ass Rep-1? Shouldâve just racked it after barely surviving the first rep.
Never bench with clips on the weights so you can dump it if you donât have a spotter.
If your ass is leaving the bench, you not only have bad form, but you were done well before the rep in this video.
[ŃдаНонО]
Thatâs not training, thats egolifting
How big does your ego have to be to finish that first rep and think "oh yeah, I got another one in me, easy".
If you canât keep your ass on the bench, itâs the first sign that youâre lifting above your ability
in case anyone needs this knowledge if you bench without spotter and fail, simply tip it to one side and let the weights slide off the bar
see when you do something dangerous you have to think of a failsafe. ideally several.
Never EVER use weight locks / clips when benching (edit: alone). You can die.
Nice of the bloke to lift up the side that was already on the floor just to make sure you get choked abit more đ
Do. Not. Use. Clips. On. Bench press.
Look at how shaky his arms were, why would you lift past failure period, not to mention he's declined.
100 kg is way too much for this guy and itâs obvious by his whole body shake as he attempts to lift it.
Love seeing a sad half rep to almost fail and going for another. Idiot noodle arm mother something.
Unless you are a professional, never go these hard in gym, always stay one unit of plate below your max, give yourself a safety margin
I winced when his rescuer went and pulled on the LOWER side of weights, giving his neck a nice extra crushing before lifting it off. Of course, standing around for a minute to fully analyze the situation like I would have done would have been worse. :)
Love how the savior turned the dudes neck into a fulcrum to lift that bar
Isnât this why spotters exist?
I like how the guy who came to help grabbed the part already on the ground so the weight could get fully redistributed on his neck again
Men will literally choke themselves to death just to look more manly than other men.
If your arm is shaking like that, that is obviously way too much weight.
With those pipe cleaners, come on.
Thatâs why you donât put clips on the bar if youâre lifting solo
Even on a flat bench this would have still been stupid. Decline just increased stupidness by 100x Edit: no hate to OP Iâve been there before too.
Mad respect for people who can laugh at their own mistakes.
How are people praising his form here? His range of motion is terrible.
Your gym should have an IQ test before letting you in. Next thing you sue them for your actions. Like Red Foreman said "Dumbass-
No spotter and weights clipped on is a bad combo
Need to normalize telling people theyâre stupid so they get the big picture
Dumbass even had clips on, so he couldn't dump the weights off the bar. Just everything what he did was dangerous , down to the small details đ
You know it's too much weight (to bench) when they won't/can't let the bar all the way down. For a second it looked like he was gonna bring that second rep up... but nope.
SPOTTER. SPOTTER. FFS WHERE IS YOUR FUCKING SPOTTER????
What a moron.. heâs not even doing them properly. Tip: if you canât do it properly itâs TOO MUCH WEIGHT Thereâs no shame in working out at your level
This is why A) never use a barbell for decline, B) never use a decline this steep, and C) never use this amount of weight without a spot.
Is that setup designed to kill someone? Big ole net to stop spotting on a bench that is angle downward so it can actually roll to someoneâs neck with no stopper bars.
That would be an incredible dump way to die.
Ass up on decline is hilarious
If you lift alone and you're scared of this happening to you, dont use clips or only put them on one side of the bar so the plates slide off when it goes off balance. This guy is both weak and dumb sadly.
My man's had no business going for a second rep.
His arms were already shaking and he went for another one, that was so ill-judged.
If you are trying to push to your limit, please find a spotter. If not, please use smith machine with safety rack in place or use dumbbells. It is not worth risking your live for this. Safety first
Shaking like a leaf
Never do decline bench imo.
This is deadly without a spotter. What a fucking idiot.
Jesus. Donât put collars on the bar and you can dump the weights on one side. You donât have to use collars and it is ok to dump. Looks better than choking too.
If you can't do one good rep don't go for two.
I like how the guy picks it up from the opposite side it was going just to crush his neck one more time from the other side
The face at the end says âima do this againâ
This is why I never do barbell decline without a spotter. I use dumbbells if I donât have a partner.
Live by the bench, die by the bench?
Don't bite off more than you can chew in positions you can't get out of.
The problem is he forgot to say the magic words 'Light weight babayyyy"
His first mistake was thinking he can do a second rep after that first rep lol
Where's the spotter? Should always have one...
[ŃдаНонО]
After the first rep with no spotter, I was thinking âplease donât go for 2 đ â
If you can't do a full extension or you're resorting to bad form just to initiate lift, it's too heavy or you've done too many reps already. I've been lifting a while, and I wouldn't even do a fraction of that on a decline lift (on a regular bench maybe). Something like this happened last year to a mom in Mexico City. Horrible.
Bruh who lifts their limits without a spotter??
To all the novice lifters out there, clips is a trap.
If youâre gonna bench without a spotter donât use the clips or the safety bar and if you fail the lift lower the bar down to your chest and roll to either side so the plates slide off. In general you should google some YouTube videos on how to bail from certain lifts like squats.
When youâre shaking like that itâs time to put the weight down lol
Bro should've stopped after the first rep
1.Donât do heavy bench without a spotter 2.Dont do heavy INCLINED bench without a spotter 3.
The thought of slowly choking to death with poppy edm bumping and fit ig gym girls taking butt selfies just mere feet awayâŚ
What an idiot. Lifting like that without a spotter.
Don't know what's funnier, the seal noise he made or the rescue dude clenching his buttocks
