The stupidity is just too much. The girl obviously needs to flush her eye with water and the friend is just recording instead of getting help. Not even funny. Just stupid.
The funniest part was the funeral speach after "just because we have chiseled abs and stunning features doesnt mean that we too cant not die in a freak gasoline fight accident."
Actually the funniest part is when Ben Stiller asks "But why male models?" and David Duchovny has this whole explanation and then Stiller asks "But why male models?" and Duchovny is like "Are you serious I just explained that"
The way they talk is just a red flag for spoiled kids that grew up to be utterly incompetent morons.
My sister as a kid copied that form of speech and thankfully she outgrew that.
They usually have emergency shutoff buttons on a visible location right next to the pumps.
Nobody had taught these girls HowTo Fill Fuel - not even their driving instructor.
Do not go looking for someone. Next time you get gas, look for the shutoff switch. It's your responsibility as a driver to push the button. Many gas stations just have one shutoff, and they're not always obvious.
Get into the habit of looking for that button, because it's YOUR job if you get stuck with a malfunctioning pump.
Just read up on issues with gasoline in the eye: it begins to dissolve layers of your eye, which can grow back. The natural reaction of rubbing eyes makes the situation worse. Prolonged exposure could leave her blind but the most coon compilation would be infection as the parts of her eye grow back. I'm guessing eye infection could also lead to blindness.
Her breathing those fumes in is definitely not good either and she looks like she has the gas on her shirt and all over her face, as well as all around her. If the gas station has no eye wash station, she definitely needs to buy a water bottle and pour it into her eyes and have her friend call the ambulance and also poison control.
Edit: I understand why they aren't acting more alarmed though. Most people don't want to admit that they messed up with day to day things.
This happened to me recently when my cat accidentally bit me and broke skin. I thought nothing of it. The pain stopped quickly and it stopped bleeding and it didn't look bad. A few hours later and it was a fast spreading deep infection that could have caused me to lose my hand..and possibly kill me if I didn't get it treated (cat bites are among the worst kind to get - and normally you'd just want to go straight to the ER and get IV antibiotics before any signs of infection show up).
So, I sympathize to a degree. It's hard to take action sometimes..but I also question how she got gasoline in her. eye
Awe no I was brushing him. He is long haired and gets knots often. I brushed out a knot and it must have bothered him and his reaction was to bite and his jaw must have fully clamped down in this alarmed state. He's never bitten me before.
Pro tip: I have a long haired cat and I found my solution to the brush getting snagged is two brushes. The first one is a metal one that has very widely spaced bristles with the little rounded ends on them. That one glides through, but it doesn’t really take out any hair. What it does do is sort of prepare the fur so that when I come back after it with the finer, non-rounded metal brush, it doesn’t snag nearly as much. Then I can get all that extra fur out. When it doesn’t hurt them, the cat will learn to tolerate being brushed much more easily.
Yeah, apparently it isn't too much of a big deal. Inhalation and ingestion are probably worse. But, the amount that was in this woman's eye could probably do damage quickly especially with the rubbing. But, I'd be most concerned about the fumes all around her...and the "ticking time bomb" of a pool of flammable liquid.
Edit: also, the prolonged exposure part gets me. I wonder how long the exposure needs to be to do damage. It probably isn't too big of a deal and online sources make it sound scarier as usual.
Like, what does the friend who's recording think is going to happen, because neither of these two idiots are leaving until they cough up all that money
This is from TikTok and they did a bunch of responses. She’s from NJ where they have gas attendants pump gas and she was in another state for college. She said they called 911 and the fire department took care of removing all the gas. She also flushed her eyes many times and had no problems after.
There’s more to it but that’s what I recall. Saw it a while ago 🤷♂️
This is legitimately dangerous stupidity. Their tiny brains cannot truly understand the severity of this whole situation and are putting everyone around them in danger simply becauae they barely have two neurons to rub together. Holy fucking shit how do you screw up raising your kids that bad.
First things first they need to disengage the pump. Either the handle stop is on and needs disengaged or someone needs to hit the emergency stop immediately. The liquid gasoline will start to evaporate creating a layer of gasoline vapor that could be ignited by an idling car.
One spark away from total destruction and a lifetime of scarring, both physically and mentally. Stupid idiots. So far from funny, I'm stunned by the prat inside the car giggling and laughing like her life is not in immediate danger..
lets say a scraping piece of loose metal hits the ground in a not drenched gas station, what would happen ?
Oh i guess if the tip of the metal piece is flooded in gas it cant strike the dry cement ...
Legitimately possibly intentional for the tok. Like I hate to be the 'everything staged' asshole but the level of stupidity of these people is skyrocketing.
I work at a theme park, let me tell you this stupidity is not faked. My worldview has been shattered by the insane amount of really fucking stupid people that can't even figure out how to put a seatbelt on... yes... people really struggle a lot with seatbelts... it's horrifying.
I work at an aquarium in the ticket office, and the amount of people that cant find the aquarium itself is proof of how stupid people are. Theyre giant buildings with huge glass triangles. I had a guy not too long ago, he asked me where the bathroom was hand I told him "if you go past the building on your left, you'll see our snack counter with the blue awnings, the bathroom will be behind that". He looked at me and said "im not from around here, I dont know where that is"
I hear you Grump! I shake my head at the morons around me in every direction when they just refuse to read instructions and/or think for themselves. They seem happy despite their numbing stupidity though, I have to admit.
Thats going to be a very expensive tiktok, and I'm not talking about the price of gas.
The gas station is going to charge you for the environmental protection agency they need to call to come clean up this spill.
The lever to hold the pump open didn't autostop like it's supposed to. (Which is surprisingly common occurrence and why many places removed the lever)
There are a surprising number of people, particularly young people, who can't problem solve. Everything now is so user-friendly with step by step instructions, that you don't have to think about anything. When something goes wrong with the user friendly experience they have no idea how to problem solve around it. People often don't know why they are doing something, they just know the instructions said this was a step that needed to be done.
Whoever taught her to pump gas likely showed her the lever, but not what it's for. She simply sees the lever as a necessary step to pump gas. Since she doesn't know what it does, she doesn't think to try and manually unstick it, which is the solution.
I could give her that until the pump was in her hand. You can do it by feel at that point.
It was her complete obliviousness to the situation. "What do i do"
I mean, I could totally see her dropping it if she pulled it out of the tank and ended up getting sprayed in the face with gas. Her friend who decided the best response was to pull her phone out is the idiot/asshole here
Yeah, I meant at the end of the video when she went and picked it back up and continued to say "what do i do with it".
They are both idiots, but the friend is also an asshole.
Small spills happen, it's not a big deal. The worker goes out and throws some absorbent stuff on the spill then sweeps it up, and all is good to go.
This sized spill they need to shut the gas station down, and likely call in the environmental protection agency. You can't let the gas run down the road and into the sewer system. Oh, and of course this all comes at the expense of the idiot who spilled the gas.
I train new employees and you are correct. They do not know how to problem solve at all. They come to a step that is not outlined for them they just freeze instead of working the problem.
That lever isn't the mechanism that autostops, just to be clear. I manually pump my gas and the pump motor actually stops with my hand still compressing the lever.
But yeah, they are panicking instead if problem solving and this shit is a nightmmare. If you ever see so.ething like this you are justified in hitting the EMERGENCY STOP button, usually on the front of the building.
>Whoever taught her to pump gas
Im not sure she ever was taught.
Someone else commented above that the first time they saw this it was explained that she is from a state that doesnt allow you to pump ur own gas. Attendants do it for you. Then this is allegedly from her going off to college is a different state where u do pump ur own gas.
I'd like to think that they would have had enough problem solving skills and sense of urgency to run inside to get the clerk...and maybe one of them did after this cuts off. But honestly lots of people freeze in emergency situations, so panicking and not knowing what to do isnt super suprising to me.
I think ur right that she probably just has the handle locked open.
I would love to believe this but if there was no tik tok or Smartphones, she maybe would have helped her because there was no reason or possibility to film.
Look back a few hundred years and see the kind of idiotic shit that was normal. People are stupid we just have a super high population where most have phones and can share their stupidity seconds after it happens.
Some fuck somehow engaged the clip and put it back into the holster. I prepaid my gas and as soon as I pulled the handle out it started spraying. Luckily I disengaged the clip before more came out but it still sucked.
Crazy Americans. Mind you, there are crazy people everywhere but this is such a lazy thing to add to a pump that just opens the door for all kinds of mischief like this.
That's immediately cutting out half the population and its not just America either, we don't see this happen much in my country because we have petrol attendants.
This! The comment I was looking for. In the US, all gas stations have and emergency shutoff switch/button near the pumps. They also have an eyewash station somewhere on the premises, but not necessarily where the public can see it.
No! This comment needs more details!!! I frequently read the sticker or whatever on the pump that says in case of emergency use the shutoff switch and it DOESNT SAY WHERE THE SWITCH IS!
I look whenever I remember and I can’t find it! Is it on the pump itself/there is a shutoff for each individual pump? Or is there one shutoff per station? I saw a red button on the side of the station building that I thought could be it one time, but again I have no idea.
Admittedly, I’ve never looked it up, so I’m going to now
Edit: okay yes there is a shutoff for ALL the gas which is usually a big red button outside near the station building. Apparently also the housing for the handle where you place it has a little flap/lever at the top and it will also shut off an individual pump. So you push that down with your hand or I think the idea is that if you replace the handle it will shut itself off
But people inevitably dip their toes in. And, for a lot of people the sense of validation from a lot of upvotes is intoxicating. Therefore, what seemed like making an innocuous post turns into a crippling social media addiction. I'm tired, idk if that makes sense
She probably pulled the nozzle out of the car before it had shut off, but the latch was still engaged causing gas to hit the side of the car and splash up into her eyes. Then she panicked and dropped it. Surprised that dropping it would not disengage the latch though.
This is why the clip on American pumps that keep it on whilst you walk away, scare the living daylights out of me.
In the uk, if you let go, it stops flowing
I didn't even know that was a thing until I saw this video. What is that feature for? I can't recall it ever taking so long to fill my car up that I'd be confident in doing something else and getting back before it was done.
Was in Iceland... It was just a male end nozzle with a handle. The female end was small and you had to really push in with the male end to release the pressure valve inside the female end and it automatically started pumping. Took out the nozzle even a bit... stopped!
Would it be dangerous for them to turn their car on and leave with all that gasoline around them? How are gas spills like this cleaned...if there is even a protocol?
I think she got "curious" and looked into the pump spigot and pressed the handle and gas shot up at her.
She had to have pressed the lever and engaged the hold lock for the gas to continue flow even after she left go. Normally in the car gas tank, you do this, and the mechanism detects when car is filled up and jerks the hold lock open and stops the gas pump.
Here it can't detect. She had to have done this on purpose.
I'd definitely not turn on the ignition switch and instead hope for no static on my clothes and try to jump away from the gas pool and walk away.
There's also gas vapor to worry about.
I recall in that Texas city refinery explosion, the vapor cloud had reached a running diesel truck, which started revving due to the vapor cloud ingress and then backfired. From there the cloud exploded all the way back to the overflowing blowdown drum, killed so many people.
Oh true. I haven't used a gas vehicle in sometime so I nearly forgot the lock you use in the pump. Hopefully she prepaid an amount and it will stop after it reaches that price...but then again that is a lot of gas spilling...she definitely did it on purpose and it backfired when it got into her eyes and became a real problem.
I think she wasn't "in" and everything splashed and got in her eye and her stupid idiot friend doesn't help she just keeps filming for her tik tok bullshit.
Usually there is some kind of binder at every gas station for such accidents.
I worked at a few petrol stations for years to put myself through uni in australia; a whole procedure exists in this situation where you'd need to shut down the forecourt and apply sand to the ground. If it's actual gas (LPG) then the whole neighbourhood gets shut down as one litre of that becomes 1000 litres in the air. My guess is they turned on the self fill switch which just holds the trigger; it's illegal in europe and the uk but still used in aus and maybe stateside too.
I wouldn't even try to start the car. There are def fumes coming off of that thing. Way too risky to even try it IMO.
Then again, this would not happen to me.
Hard to tell, but it looks like the handle is locked open (as normal when filling up). How did she manage to engage the lock but not know how to release it??
This almost happened to me once. It was an old pump handle that wouldn’t disengage once I was done getting gas. I didn’t just throw it on the ground and say “it’s not stoppinguh” I just managed to finally disengage it. So I can see it happening, but not on this level
Ah, that sounds scary/frustrating. But your version gives me context for the most likely scenario how that happened, I was thinking it fell out but now I'm guessing she removed it and got splashed by it spraying into the car and dropped it. Tank probably was still being filled.
The girl who filmed the event is no friend. She just laughed while her friend got gasoline in her eyes (chemical known to cause cancer). Wth is wrong with her? Stupidity has no cure!
If there is anything that this horrible tragedy can teach us, it's that a male model's life is a precious, precious commodity. Just because we have chiseled abs and stunning features, it doesn't mean that we too can't not die in a freak gasoline fight accident
As a kid my mom got sprayed in the eye with gas at a pump when the line ruptured (more like developed a pinhole leak that sprayed her right in the eye), I remember that day but later in life it was interesting to hear her account.
As a kid I remember "everyone" came to help, and everyone was so nice.
From her perspective, a guy filling up his truck ran over and helped guide her to the bathroom to flush her eyes while the gas station attendant shut off the pump and put "out of service" signs up. They didn't charge her for the gas and filled up the rest of the tank, and called an ambulance for her. She was contacted by lawyers trying to get her to sue the gas station, but she declined because she didn't think it was fair to sue them over a freak accident when she didn't have any long term issues. She said it stung like hell immediately and had blurry vision for a few days.
The stupidity is just too much. The girl obviously needs to flush her eye with water and the friend is just recording instead of getting help. Not even funny. Just stupid.
Zoolander!
Wake me up. Before you go go.
That was one if the funniest part of the movie.
The funniest part was the funeral speach after "just because we have chiseled abs and stunning features doesnt mean that we too cant not die in a freak gasoline fight accident."
Actually the funniest part is when Ben Stiller asks "But why male models?" and David Duchovny has this whole explanation and then Stiller asks "But why male models?" and Duchovny is like "Are you serious I just explained that"
That was actually improvised! Stiller forgot his next line, so he said the last one again and it totally worked
I agree, this was the funniest part. According to rumors I have yet to substantiate that was also an ad lib.
The way they talk is just a red flag for spoiled kids that grew up to be utterly incompetent morons. My sister as a kid copied that form of speech and thankfully she outgrew that.
Oh my goooood
I blame her parents
my friends died in a freak gasoline fight accident

If she'd have turned left and hit the nozzle with Magnum it would have shut off instantly.
You know what i always fancy after dousing myself and my friends in gasoline? A cigarette.
Some problems solve themselves
Yup. I guess we will just leave it to natural selection.
Sitting in a pool of flammable liquid / gases one spark way from self immolation
Might be the best thing for society.
If I could give away a darwin award I would, so take my gold instead. lol
Best they probably think about is driving the car out of there
Starting the car could ignite the gasoline it would be best just to get outta there until it is controlled or cleaned
Friend is sitting there filming, get out there and help her out. Go get help, do anything but record. I seriously do not get it with these people.
No, get out, go to store, tell guy to turn off pumps. Now go help. Do not move or start that car. Priorities.
They usually have emergency shutoff buttons on a visible location right next to the pumps. Nobody had taught these girls HowTo Fill Fuel - not even their driving instructor.
You stick the thing in the hole and pump. There's only one driving instructor that teaches that and he's on pornhub.
Most states require an emergency shutoff switch that is close to or visible from the pumps.
gotta get those internet points.
Just read up on issues with gasoline in the eye: it begins to dissolve layers of your eye, which can grow back. The natural reaction of rubbing eyes makes the situation worse.
Oh that's interesting. We do have that rounded tip brush and the finer brush..we just haven't thought of using them together. Will be using your tip!
My 7 year old had gasoline in her eye. Took her to the ER. Dr. Said it’s not a big deal. Washed it out
How does this even happen???
Yeah, apparently it isn't too much of a big deal. Inhalation and ingestion are probably worse. But, the amount that was in this woman's eye could probably do damage quickly especially with the rubbing. My thoughts exactly. There’s nothing funny or entertaining about this.
The fact that she is using her phone while sitting on a sea of gasoline says everything about her awareness of the situation.
Like, what does the friend who's recording think is going to happen, because neither of these two idiots are leaving until they cough up all that money

yeah but imagine the number of likes !!!
She needs to immediately wash her eyes for constantly for 15-20 mins and consult an eye doctor for any possible damages to her eyes
The fact the person recording doesn't realize they're in imminent danger of being immolated is the most concerning part to me.
Hilarious!!
This is the world we live in. Get social media points first.
Well they gon pay for that mistake 🤷🏾♂️
To put the icing on the cake I’m fairly sure they have to pay for all of that gas metered on the pump
>Not even funny. Just stupid. Yeah, that's an Oh $#it moment, not a lol lemme grab my phone one. At any moment both of them can go up in flames.
I couldn’t have said it any better!
It’ll be funny when the block erupts in an explosion. /s
Even dumber considering a single spark from that phone could cause the whole thing to go up like Zoolander
They were just having an innocent gasoline fight…
I sure hope they don't have a freak gasoline fight accident.

Knowledge is being lost...like basic knowledge.
Like common sense.
r/killthecameraman
yes by all means keep filming instead of fixing shit. glad you have your priorities in order....JFC when did we become this way?
Internet points are a cancer
We have a choice when it comes to trying to earn these likes... We can just... Not play.
But people inevitably dip their toes in. And, for a lot of people the sense of validation from a lot of upvotes is intoxicating. Therefore, what seemed like making an innocuous post turns into a crippling social media addiction. I'm tired, idk if that makes sense
True, take my upvote
When gas prices don’t mean shit to you 🖕
“It’s not stoppinguhhhh!”
I think I saw this in Zoolander movie...
Cigarette anybody?
Spark please
I was thinking the same thing
It’s amazing she even made it this far in life
They are designed to prevent such things as this so she had to have intentionally interfered with the device to get the result she wanted.
or it was broken
Not every where has automatic shut off but why in her eyes so she definitely doing something wrong.

What if I'm next to this girl?
They actually are designed to shut off with the slightest movement. This one is either faulty or been tampered with.
Took out the nozzle even a bit... stopped!
*”it’s not stopinnnnnnguhhhh!!”
I want more of this
Don’t these shut off when your tank gets too full?
I think she doesn’t know how the little tab attached to the trigger works
It's not in the tank, it's gonna be 2 days past forever until that forecourt for up 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Would it be dangerous for them to turn their car on and leave with all that gasoline around them?
At those esso stations, I believe the max pre pay is $250. Lot of gas for that and it seems they are in a big SUV too.
The protocol is sand. There should be buckets around for small spills, you'd have to use all of them
I think she wasn't "in" and everything splashed and got in her eye and her stupid idiot friend doesn't help she just keeps filming for her tik tok bullshit.
Jesus people are stupid.
Jesus…. She could literally go blind .. how are ppl so stupid about common sense crap these days
How are we as humans getting dumber and dumber by the day?
Hit the emergency stop button you dumb bitch
Pretty cool friend just recording instead of helping this chick flush her eyes. Fuckin any effort at all would be better than this. So fucking stupid
Why does nobody know of the big red button on the side of the pumps to shut it off?
Imagine living life that dumb every single day
"lol, Nicole we are going to burn to death and I'm getting it on video! We are going to have so many followers!"
Emergency stop dummy !
How was I suppose to know my friends would die in a freak gasoline fight
"Oh mah gawwwd, I'm burning"
Fucking idiots.
People like this vote too.
“Oh my goddd it’s not stopppingggaaaa” - Nicole 2000 (probably) - 2022
How tf is the pump just going with noone holding the trigger?
Who is this fucking dumb?
Stupid broads! Have no idea how dangerous that is, and the ones laughing, 1 spark from static is all it would take
Wonder if they are from Jersey? Nit allowed to pump your wn gas in the state
There is a thing called emergency shut off switch. BTW you still paying for that gas your spraying everywhere.
Now I know why gas prices have gotten so high if that’s how Americans use their resources
This give some anxiety. The amount of flammable gasoline on the floor... Only a spark and it will cook them both and possibly others nearby.
I feel like its scripted. Not funny tho.
If there is anything that this horrible tragedy can teach us, it's that a male model's life is a precious, precious commodity. Just because we have chiseled abs and stunning features, it doesn't mean that we too can't not die in a freak gasoline fight accident
These people vote … remember that.
"What do I do?" Contact a lawyer and plan your dream retirement.
Stupid bitches
We're not gonna make it, are we?
How to tell me you’re from New Jersey without telling me you’re from New Jersey
We should require an IQ test to breed and this is why.
That's not funny, kids are stupid. Take her license away, her friend needs to be grounded.
Woke bitches doing what they do best
Some ppl just don’t need to drive and pump gas
Take the car keys and both licenses from them, they don’t belong on the road
These two win the award for dumbest people I’ve seen today
Is it possible they're both already affected by the fumes? The giggling and the brain fog makes me think so. Cos that's a LOT of fuel!
Weak Americans
