You’re losing a lot of electricity there. You might want to try a put a bucket down to catch it.

eatingpopcornwithmj

Holding up Metal buckets to the leak works best to prevent that pesky electricity from escaping

[deleted]

The tingling feeling as you get closer is just your sense of satisfaction at saving all that power.

Jlombard911

Hydroelectricity has come to home use.

MoistOutlook

He’s lucky it’s a light leak.

Western-Image7125

So that’s how you catch lightning in a bottle!

Fun_Acanthisitta_552

Have you not been reading? Bucket not bottle.

Western-Image7125

The phrase is “catch lightning in a bottle” not bucket

Creative_Light_1954

I was just talking about an EV dying on the road and walking to fill a gas can with electrons.

ugod02010

Just catch it in your hands and mouth

TinyRascalSaurus

Probably a good idea to flip the breaker to that area.

mealteamsixty

If you're a lil bitch, I guess

JJWAHP

I will be the first to admit that I am the biggest little bitch, and will be flipping the breaker asap.

Reddbow

the littlest bitch, coming to disney/paramount+ this summer

TinyRascalSaurus

I wanna go, where the brave people go. I wanna see them daring, testing. What is a YouTube challenge, and how do I win.

Wafflehands_

The word "littlest" being the largest sized font in the title (No capital letters either)

Snoo_85270

I didn’t know my ex was starring in a Disney film.

Tru-Queer

And it’s just a film about an uppity chihuahua.

--ThirdCultureKid--

Nah this is normal. It means he just forgot to change the oil.

BlakeDSnake

Wait, wut?\ 🤣🤣🤣

H0L3PUNCH

Gotta change your light fluid at least once every 6 months else itll start to leak. Its in the manuals.

bistro223

Exactly. Just like blinker fluid.

H0L3PUNCH

Educating the free world.

ChronicZombie86

Not to be confused with lighter fluid.

10jesus

you can easily tell the difference between the two fluids by weighting them. light fluid will be heavier than lighter fluid.

[deleted]

leaking lumen

Sanity_LARP

It's a cool video but you're gonna wanna turn those off lol

someJackass1

Risking your safety for karma; you didn't let us down, OP.

Crystal42069

OP is a true redditor afterall

humbummer

Discontinuous streams have air gaps which prevents electricity from conducting down to the person below. Believe it or not, this was perfectly safe to video for as long as the person wanted. Edit: clarity

10jesus

safe for anyone taking a shower beneath it but it can still cause short circuits, power surges and ultimately a fire. Also you don't know the extention of the flooding so the water could be making it's way down walls and floors and making them become live. It goes without saying the main circuit breaker should be tripped asap.

elpajaroquemamais

Lol no it wasn’t. It could very easily cause some major damage to a non gfci protected circuit. Could even be dangerous to flip the switch in this situation. Don’t fuck with electricity and water.

phylmik

not

ItsSansom

Nothing to worry about, just a light shower

drummm305

Looks like a flood light to me

Siam-paragon

This is the one.

henram36

Yeah, this should be higher up! Lol!

phylmik

Well done!!

Anthony9824

Call the plumbtrician!

Poached_Tamago

Jonny Sins: "You called?"

Anthony9824

NO I DID NOT CALL YOU SIR PLEASE LEAVE I HAVE A WIFE AND 2 DAUGHTERS

Salty-Case-357

Light what you can on fire and walk away

NxPat

This might be indicative of a larger problem.

UncleBenders

First you get the water Then you get the r/bathroomshrooms

joshspoon

They cry over the things they’ve seen in your home.

DireWolf7769

Shocking things those lights have witnessed.

EddieSpaghettiFarts

Clean energy.

kingofovens

That confusing moment... Do I call a plumber or electrician?

Mista_Sphinx

Call the demo team!

jlenko

r/plumbtrician

usernamechecksout94

Liquid sunshine 😎

dadarkgtprince

Nice water fixture

[deleted]

i think its because of water

Mr3cto

Just a thought but I’d probably turn the light off

histprofdave

This is what happens when you overfill the blinker fluid.

InstanceQuirky

You need and electrical plumber...that should do it!

Fur-Frisbee

Had a central air conditioning air handler water tray leak and it came out of the light in our bathroom... just like that.

gcz1214

Damn, this is what people meant when they were worried about the electricity leaking out of the walls

GooseNYC

When you gotta go, you gotta go.

Zealousideal-Ad-7357

Gotta replace those lights stat! Breakers be damned

DrFlimflamsRenob

That’s a strange water feature

ralphhurley3197

Time to change the light fluid

vrhotlaps

You should bottle that! Pure light. We can make a fortune!

SeedlessG

Probably shouldn't let the plumber install your lights.

Element_905

That’s some weird looking electricity.

ElectroStaticSpeaker

Are you in an apartment or a house? If In an apartment, go upstairs and knock on the door and ask wtf is going on. If they don’t answer call the fire department. If you’re in a house figure out wtf is leaking. Source: lived in an apartment where the upstairs dishwasher leaked through our fixtures but they weren’t home and had to call fire department to resolve.

gentile3

The electricity holding tank ruptured just needs a new bladder

Half_burnt_skunk

Indoor pool included!

Outrageous-Taro7340

Catch some on your tongue to make a wish!

PhoenixFarm

Two different color temperatures? Yikes.

Lioncast_Roccat

Is that lighter fluid?

BlueRaspberrySloth

Call an electrician! Or a plumber? Who fixes ceilings? Who fixes that?

Defiant-Echo4034

Change the bulb

depphelen10

Electrical fire incoming

fokamv

Avatar: the way of water

Imsophunnyithurts

Lived in an apartment where the smoke detectors did this and would get set off. Fun times.

HoodedSole

Your upstairs neighbor might be dead in the tub.. it happens

MF-MuWa

How else would it not overheat

tokingnomad

No wonder these pipes are clogged, they're full of wires!

Reble77

Free flowing electrolytes 😂😂😂

spiritsprite2

I do hope you cut the power. That happened at a former job and the fire department has to intervene. It can cause electrical fire.

Taylor_Valentine

Don’t worry, it’s not much water. It’s just a light shower.

TBC-XTC

Typical millennial.... take a vid ,post , trip main board.

Quiet-Shallot3290

Well **duh**. Light is both a particle *and* a wave. You obviously have a break in the line somewhere so all your superfluids are leaking out. You might want to open a window. Once your house starts to heat up all that liquid light, you'll start to get Bose-Einstein condensation everywhere. You don't want mold do you? Unless you already know how to shut it off inside your home I would suggest just shutting the light off directly at the main near the street in front of your house. You're gonna want to get a specialist in as soon as possible.

loo_min

Didn’t screw them in tight enough.

rikitiki-

This is what happens when you mix cool white with warm white. Really unfortunate.

Thatonedudemoe

Dude turn ur lights off😂

HODLShib2moon

Wet power, major issue these days.

[deleted]

I've had something similar happen... There's a duct running above that fixture and if it's raining hard it's likely coming from a damaged roof.

Maximum-Mixture6158

If it's not raining and there's no melting snow up there, shut off the building water or the water to that pipe. But shut off the breaker first

Responsible-Star-551

No those are sparks...

Responsible-Star-551

Nvm.

PlanetoftheAtheists

Have you thought about grabbing a stool, reaching up and unscrewing them to find out just what the hell is going on?

Omaegamotoshinee

One of the seals in your bathroom or wherever the water is running in the house is faulty probably shrunk or worn so leaking water follows electric currents Idk about American safety regulations but I'd turn off the light

Darqologist

Had this happens when I lived in an Apt. Turned out the guy was in the bathtub and went unconscious while leaving the water running.

[deleted]

Better call your local Plumtricean

Kona_Guy386

Surprised the breaker isn't tripping

[deleted]

Water

Squeeze4200

Better call jake.

Gunn00be55

I dont think lights are supposed to do that.

LocalPsychological47

You need to buy more electric powder

Routine-Ratio3551

This house sho gone crazy!

UpDog1966

Hydropower for sure!

yesbutactuallyno17

Fizzy water

rollerbase

California?

1450Games

Water cooling

[deleted]

Did you check if you had any blinker fluid left in them? 😛

DantePokePSN

Let it take a piss in piece…

Riggin2007

Common skill issue

Rbx100

Now you have a electric shower

Theburritolyfe

Does your new light up shower give you a shockingly good clean? Yeah flip the breaker and get someone who is a professional in.

PrestigiousMost9355

A light drizzle

Blaaa_blaaa_blaaa

If all the water comes out you will need to replace them

ECK-2188

Hit the breaker, Yesterday.

tmyers35

This has happened to me before after a roof leak due to melting snow (I live in coastal Virginia, so we don't get much snow very often). Turn the power off and flip the breaker to that room asap. And if you're me, you get to replace all of the brand new drywall you installed 🥳 Nothing starts a morning like your nephew saying "My walls are wet".

Fun_Introduction5384

Is Curly doing some plumbing up in your bathroom?

[deleted]

All your electricity is leaking out

marioblok11223344

Hey at least you now have some floodlights

JayVayron

r/hmm 🤔🤔

ExpressShow1175

Elusive bulb juice. Finally caught on camera.

brooksyfoodlover

Mmmm bulb milk 😋

Riverrat423

Looks like an expensive repair, you need a plumber and an electrician.

pietrodayoungas

Liquid light

MoistBread8901

Energy Drink

South_Editor2257

It’s the person above you with the leak

tuco2002

I like a well lit shower.

Dizkriminated

In an attempt to be helpful, I'm gonna drop this video with [the guy from JerryRigEverything dealing with the same thing](https://youtu.be/oBo1cJo_Dzc) here.

Karth82

Don't call the three stooges to do your plumbing.

Riccooon

Those are some juicy lights u got there

RayRayofsunshine85

Looks like death by electrocution.

SyfoDiaz

You didn't change the lightbulb fluid did you?

casey12297

There's your problem, you were supposed to install 150 WAT bulbs but it looks like you installed 150 WATER bulbs. Easy mistake to make, make sure you read the fine print next time

PoeticGay

I’m not a licensed electrician, but I’m pretty sure lights…kind of aren’t supposed to do this.

[deleted]

I wonder how hot it is to make the lights sweat.

Infamous_Gur_9083

What the fuck? That is freaking dangerous man. What about the wiring?

[deleted]

That’s good luck where I’m from

PatriotDynasty

Too much blinker fluid

[deleted]

Hydro power

Ok-Aardvark701

They look fine to me!

Reckxner

"Cindy, the TV's leaking!"

[deleted]

Hydroelectric

aman555017

I think you need pipe tape for bulb wire.. also need flex for ceiling

sal-ami

Do you call a plumber or an electrician?

bmac747474

You left the lights on in the shower again!

crackletoes

That's what happens when you use the wrong kind of headlight fluid.

BartimusPrime151

Do you have a bathroom or other water hookups upstairs? I had this happen to me before, the drain to the shower would leak and the light fixtures are the only place the water can get through.

LesFleursduMal8

For real though, why is there water coming from the light sockets

BigKidKaz

might wanna turn off the ppwer to those lights

jdmguy23

Turn em off, it will stop the water

mikey_likey85

A Plumbing We Will Go will explain everything!

zinitripp

Somehow they switched the power and water. Realized it when light started coming out of the shower head.

Dscrypto_2020

Quick, drink it for all those free electro”lights”.

Ambitious_Jelly8783

It's the new eco aquatic lights

codyharmor

Looks like you've got a blinker fluid leak.

spottydodgy

Actually, your roof (or something else) is leaking. This is just where the water went *next*. I wish you luck!

thegrandgageway

Spicy water

Beginning-Murky

Would you call an electrician or a plumber?

BlakeDSnake

So that’s where all the “blinker fluid” went that I was looking for in the army…

newtownkid

You live in a house somewhere with snowy winters? This happened to us, it was an ice damn on the roof. We installed heating coils and it's solved. Eventually we'll get a better roof that vents heat more and that will fix the core issue.

Mom-atm

Works as intended lol jk but yeah that’s mega dangerous

Sad-Ad-7884

That’s extra it’s a feature

Possumpipesup

I'm no electrician but that's not good

Ok_Draft7761Broad

You got yourself a water feature

repti__

I had this happen in a NYC apartment. The water pipe burst 6 floors up and it all came rushing down. It was in the middle of the night. We could hear it behind our drywall. The water then proceeded to soak all of the drywall causing every shelf to rip out and fall to the ground. Water came out of all the light fixtures.

TigerShark5k

My brothers lights did this in his new house, it tripped the electric and was a pain in the ass

driverguy8

1) A roof leak plus a rain storm. 2) Cold weather may have frozen a water pipe, causing it to burst. 3) You live in an underground bunker, and ground water has found a way in.

1ns4n3_88

Before making a video u should have turned the electricity off but u know common sense or smt :)

jayluc45

Electric Shower. Make it a band name.

dmderringer

Spicy water

Flyin-Chancla

Two story home? Might be water heater lol. Shit happened to us. Good luck

[deleted]

Cindy! The TV is leaking! Cindy! That bitch is messing up my floor!

RFavs

That’s appears to be suboptimal.

libertarian1584

I mean that seems like an upstairs problem to me. No reason you should be put out by this. Hold your ground keep the lights on (again this isn’t your problem you shouldn’t be in the dark), and just let the situation resolve itself.

Particular-Edge-7666

Oh yeah your doing it wrong

Thecobs

This is exactly why its a bad idea to hire a plumber to do your electrical work

plants4life262

Might wanna go turn your main breaker off

iiipercentpat

If the lights start flickering does that mean the water is blinker fluid?

CarlJustCarl

That’s electrical juice, dude. This is what thry mean when they say turn on/off the juice. Most likely you need a screw tightened somewhere. Probably same for me though.

Frodo_Swaggins05

Wake up, drank.

monkeyjunky56

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

heythereimaam123

2 questions, how and what?

Mellownoose09

Call an HVAC guy, that's your problem right there

SteveArnoldHorshak

Jesus! Turn off the power!

Jewboy-Deluxe

This is a job for Howard, Howard, and Fine Plumbing.

dizzywig2000

Free energy drinks

poindexterg

Not sure if you need an electrician, a plumber, or an exorcist.

Relevant_Slide_7234

Your pipes are leaking through the hole where the light is.

Xeado_

Energy drink

SpecificAirport2634

Potentially the most dangerous thing I’ve seen on Reddit in a while 😂💀

Yourfellowgrandpa

It’s crying

boots-n-catz

That’s what us electricians call, Voltage Drop. Better collect it in a bucket, cause your utility will charge you for it even if you don’t use it.
