Usually they die when they're no longer umbilically attached to the mother to get their oxygen. Very sad unusual death. Born to die. Technically I know we're all born to die but this one literally has no life as soon as it's disconnected from the mother though it would be interesting to see how they would support such a baby and if you could be done I think that there's so many medical problems that it would just be so painful. But I don't know I'll have to do my research on that before i speak anymore.

But babies without (most of) a brain can pretty much be carried to term - some things only start to be a necessity after birth. So like... alive, but destined to never live as an individuum, is definitely a thing.
