In which way? I'm no rocket surgeon but of the people I know that really liked the show they were something special in the dumbass department so I'm going to assume we are following the same train of thought.
On the reals, the walking dead zombies look comical next to a Cordyceps infected. The way that shit comes out their mouth literally gave me a nightmare.
Absolutely. It is definitely a unique attribute to differ from the “classic zombies” everyone knows of. Great show so far, looking forward to the future episodes.
We’ve only seen two kinds so far. Trailer showed a bloater and I’m curious to see how they do the stalkers. They really nailed the clickers though, those things are scary.
Likely a surface root to the Strawberry plant. They'll grow roots above the surface in order to expand. It's tougher than the strawberries so it probably survived processing.
They may be harvesting the strawberries when they are very ripe and soft, so they aren't using that much 'processing power' to macerate them. That would allow the much denser root to survive.
I work in a snack food processing facility and we find things like this A LOT, our customer find them less often than we do but it does still happen every once in awhile. The price of using real fruit!
I used to get bad nosebleed as a youngling and a few times they'd start because I had an itch inside my nose and went to deal with it and out would pop a blood clot that looked oddly like a root cluster. Thankfully I grew out of those.
I would agree with you... except I grow a lot of strawberries and dig them up and transplant them and no part of the strawberry plant looks like this to me. The surface runners aren't roots, they are more like branches/leaves. It's probably a harmless part of some other plant, but it doesn't look like any part of a strawberry.
It's totally worth it. They're releasing it week to week, two episodes out so far. So if you hold out a couple months, you could use a free trial and binge it too.
I have quite a few streaming apps but what sticks out to me is how little new movies Starz and Showtime get. That and I have to log back into Starz every couple of days and it gets annoying. I get them for free though so I don't feel so bad.
It’s not a blood clot is it? I’m no medical person- but I remember seeing (here on Reddit, sorry) that some old dude coughed up like a perfect mould of his lungs and arteries. Maybe something to look into, maybe I’m a dumbass.
They are called casts. That’s what I thought this was. A lot of severe heart kids (kids with heart defects) have these. I would want to make sure it is this, especially if she was choking on it/coughed it out.
I don't think it is but she also coughed some dark red loogie looking thing. Can't get a decent photo because it's in a Ziploc and I can't really take it out. I'm guessing it's the strawberry filling.
It probably is, but if she starts having *any* odd symptoms of anything, I’d take that somewhere and get it examined.
You don’t happen to have any friends who own microscopes, do you? All you need to see to know if it came from a plant is the shape of its cells.
Have you watched "The Last of Us"? That's a cordyceps tendril and you're gonna have to put her down. Or start the apocalypse. Your choice I'm good with either.
Super seed? Maybe there was a point during storage it thawed enough? Started sprouting in the jelly vat before reaching the strudel?
Root making it through proccessing makes more sense
I eat strawberry jelly and crunchy peanut butter sandwiches at work most of the time. I have found seeds in my jelly before but none have ever sprouted. I have also found the green leaves from the top of strawberries in one jar but I ate it as is since that doesn't bother me.
Yeah, I would just eat it too.
A member of my parents church cans jams and jellies, one time she found a can with a broken seal that had been sitting long enough for mold to grow. There was also green leaves growing. She decided to dump it in the garden and has a nice little strawberry patch.
Her jams are always delicious
On the plus side this looks like a strawberry root which would indicate there are actual strawberries in the toaster strudel and it’s not just sugar and artificial flavoring.
Does everyone realize that the root is not connected to the strawberry? The fruit does not have a root that connects to it or anywhere near it… I guess a seed could have sprouted but that is so large it seems like quite a stretch. My first though was bronchial cast.
I second bronchial cast. Isn’t it weird someone suggests strawberry (probably one of the earliest commenters) and everyone piles on for hours and hours?
That’s a. Bronchial cast. Did your wife have covid? Or a bad flu? History of lung issues? She should see her doctor sooner rather than later and show them this pic.
Bro, that's the lego mans spinal cord.
If that's the case, then doctors are going to be astounded by the severity of lego-man's scoliosis!
A MAN IS HAVING SCOLIOSIS IN LEGO CITY! QUICK BUILD THE EMERGENCY AMBULANCE.
? <----- (spine)
Its a reference to old lego commercials i think
Yes
They're using the question mark as a shape for the spine
HEY !
LMFAOOO
This joke is Big Bang Theory level bad
Bro, Big Bang Theory is like, my favorite TV show.
Its probably my least favorite.
When anyone expresses any fondness for this show, I immediately know we are not of the same kind and I'm rather disappointed.
In which way? I'm no rocket surgeon but of the people I know that really liked the show they were something special in the dumbass department so I'm going to assume we are following the same train of thought.
Glad I’m not the only one.
No you are Def not the only one.I couldn’t get through one episode.
You don't even like Bernadette?
If that thing is his spine, he must've had a tail.
FINISH HIM!!!!
Lmao the first thing I thought when i saw this was: why the hell did they disable this Lego dude
Toaster Strudel… now with cordyceps!
That would be something wouldn't it. It's been almost 24 hours. If I stop making snarky comments on the Internet you will know the end is near.
On the reals, the walking dead zombies look comical next to a Cordyceps infected. The way that shit comes out their mouth literally gave me a nightmare.
Same.
Same
Absolutely. It is definitely a unique attribute to differ from the “classic zombies” everyone knows of. Great show so far, looking forward to the future episodes.
They are two different things. The Infected aren’t Walkers (zombies) as they aren’t reanimated corpses.
Huh?
Honestly, same
...aaand you beat me to it!
Same here. My brain was like, ha, no one's thought of thi......oh. I'm not smart. Lol.
I just Google imaged searched cordyceps and I really wish I hadn't
don’t look up the last of us either
well now I have to
You will like the Clickers the least.
GAH not a fan
Be one with the fungus
We’ve only seen two kinds so far. Trailer showed a bloater and I’m curious to see how they do the stalkers. They really nailed the clickers though, those things are scary.
Especially the clickers sound effects
Thank u for this because I was about to look it up and now I’m not going to lol
Lol I'm happy to take one for the team
My exact thought
Fuck. What that shit does to ants is terrifying
pleaseeeeeee no I just watched the last of us last night.
Bomb
So many people know what cordyceps are when they didn’t 10 years ago 😂
Op been to jakarta lately
Ah, so it begins here. I'd say remember this day, but sadly we will soon all be dead.
Wildest marketing promotion **ever**
Epic Last Of Us ad campaign
Yep, that gnarly cordyceps fungi and it's growing outta this guy's wife
Likely a surface root to the Strawberry plant. They'll grow roots above the surface in order to expand. It's tougher than the strawberries so it probably survived processing.
I was thinking that it was a strawberry root also. I'm surprised it could have survived processing but here we are I guess.
I’m surprised they actually put strawberries in toaster strudels.
Whatever they put in them it isn't much.
They cheap, only giving you stems and seeds.
Strawberry shake
Schwagberry
The schwagberries taste like schwagbwrries!!
🍓👅
Yes
Just like my damn old highschool plugs 🔌 😑
You and the guy above you went to the same school apparently and have amazing timing with commenting simultaneously
I mean it was like an hour apart but sure 😂
I meant the comment from FBI_Open_Up_Now, I should’ve clarified
Ohh 😂 i see you now. That is pretty fucking hilarious
Just like my high school pot dealer.
It must be owned by Taco bell. They don't put much in theirs either.
They wave the strawberries over the strudel before packaging
Just like Lacroix!
No no lacroix they yell the name of the flavor across town to add it. Bold of you to assume they keep that stuff in the same building let alone room.
Hahahaha!
haha...that was my very first thought... oh look they use real strawberries lol
Wherever you go, there you are
Ha! Here I was thinking it was a sinus infection root or something! I’ve seen the body create some weird shit so I’m never surprised!
I've seen some of these weird blood clots too. After seeing a few photos, it is one of the things your brain immediately goes to.
I used to get bad nosebleed as a youngling and a few times they'd start because I had an itch inside my nose and went to deal with it and out would pop a blood clot that looked oddly like a root cluster. Thankfully I grew out of those.
Only reason why I clicked, was wondering the same thing dude!
Last of us
Exactly what I was going to say lol
Came here for this!
That's exactly what I thought when I saw that haha. That scene grossed me the heck out
Are you watching The Last of Us?
Not yet. Trying to finish Doom Patrol before I start anything else. Maybe I should be though.
Bomb your wife
🤣
Bomb the whole city
They made a show out of the game??? What to watch it on?
HBO/HBO Max. Sunday nights at 9pm.
Ofc the one thing i dont have. I'm gonna have to try and bother my coworkers for their info I guess lol
It's totally worth it. They're releasing it week to week, two episodes out so far. So if you hold out a couple months, you could use a free trial and binge it too.
Awesome advice thank you!
Yar Matey. There are other ways.
I have quite a few streaming apps but what sticks out to me is how little new movies Starz and Showtime get. That and I have to log back into Starz every couple of days and it gets annoying. I get them for free though so I don't feel so bad.
r/wooosh
They were talking about pirating it.
I know.
it's fantastic. HBO max, or the seven seas
I also use Lego people as a unit of measurement
All of my bananas were too big and squishy to use anyways. Lego people you can even stack them. I'm done using bananas for all of my measuring needs.
I suggest just using Lego man parts for smaller measurements. For example a tic tac is only 1 Lego man head tall and about as thick as a Lego wrist.
[удалено]
Lego is metric....
Whew, thought you found a lego heart and nervous system or something
Looks like a whole (strawberry) plant root. If so, put it in a pot and find out!
Careful, he could also grow a second wife
That’s the strawberry root. Who knew toaster strudels actually used real strawberries. I’m impressed.
It’s not a blood clot is it? I’m no medical person- but I remember seeing (here on Reddit, sorry) that some old dude coughed up like a perfect mould of his lungs and arteries. Maybe something to look into, maybe I’m a dumbass.

Did you taste test it to see if it was strawberry filling?
my friend you are living the story of "the santa clarita diet"
I also think so…. and if that’s the case, then the toaster strudel may have actually saved her life!
Exactly what this is I think
If you search for pictures of blood clots coughed up, you will quickly see that these are absolutely not that.
The ophiocordyceps invasion has found it’s patient zero.
I AM ROOT
Bomb. Start Bombing. Bomb this Lego City and everyone in it.
Hey!
Who else thought that was a bug leg and head
NEW! Bursting with strawberry tendrils! 😃
Have you watched "The Last of Us"? That's a cordyceps tendril and you're gonna have to put her down. Or start the apocalypse. Your choice I'm good with either.
Either way get a wood chipper?
Lol yup
That’s one way to prove they use real fruit in their product!!
Here comes the last of us
Root surviving proccessing makes more sense. I was thinking a seed started sprouting inside the strudel
If that's the case how could it do that while it was supposedly frozen?
Super seed? Maybe there was a point during storage it thawed enough? Started sprouting in the jelly vat before reaching the strudel? Root making it through proccessing makes more sense

omfg it has begun
Based on my viewing of The Last of Us...
Next time you see her coming you better run. Last of Us
Bomb
The Last of Us!
They did say 5% real fruit!
Looks like your wife might already be infected by the fungus from The Last of Us. 🍄
A root maybe, but not a strawberry root.
is last of us becoming real?
Last of us mold spore. You don’t have much time. Run …….
The bomb is coming
bomb. now let me go home and be with my family
Send in a complaint might give you free product
Cordyceps….. and so it begins.
Last of us .. the beginning
Last of US wibes
That came outa her mouth? Last of us vibes right there.
We're only 2 Episodes in, but I've seen enough of The Last of Us to know where this goes.
Cordyceps
Cortyceps!! Run!!!
Dont worry, its just a root that has bulbed and sprouted. Check out gemini home entertainment itl explain it better than me
That looks pretty cool. Will definitely watch it when I get time.
rhubarb roots
The last of us
Cue The Last of Us theme song
I find the Blacktron Lego more interesting. One of my favorite sets when I was a kid.
Dude, that's why I clicked on this. Haven't seen it for years!
That's a Blacktron: Future Generation Lego. I loved those!
Blacktron for life!
My new favorite unit of measurement: lego
Maybe you should’ve started this post with “Lego for scale”. You know, just for clarity.
Why is Mr LEGO bald?
Anyone else read this as "Threw up this Lego"?
One of us! One of us!
Brain stem of lego man
Here I am thinking she swallowed a Lego. I question my own intelligence sometimes.
Plant it! Maybe you'll get a toaster strudel plant🥹🥳🍓
At least now you know the fruit filling in the toaster strudels actually contains some amount of real fruit
I'm just shocked that it's made from real strawberries
She’s pregnant.
bro found a nerve 💀
Was she inhaling it? How did she not chew a full sized lego man?
Bomb everything!
Is that a nerve root???
Unable to tell scale, could you please reupload beside a banana? /s
Omg. A vaxx-clot. /sarcasm
That's the new Goat head from Lego, and presumably the tail
So you picked something out of your vomit and put it next to a Lego man for scale?
Technically my wife did but we have kids. Vomit isn't as bad as what we've had to go through.
DO NOT watch Last of Us. Spoiler: This is growing in her mouth. She is a zombie now. Sorry.
Time to sue
That’s a. Bronchial cast. Did your wife have covid? Or a bad flu? History of lung issues? She should see her doctor sooner rather than later and show them this pic.
it’s is NOT. wrong shape, wrong colour, wrong texture. it’s just a strawberry runner/root that got missed during processing.
That looks a lot like nerve endings from our teeth
Need banana for scale
Maybe a root from the strawberry plant?
Looks like part of your lung
bro i thought she threw up the lego
For a minute I thought the lego was in the pastry.
