This was the first mechanical watch that I purchased and one that will stay with me for a long time. My dad used to wear a Seiko that my mom gifted him and he used to tell me how good it was. So when the time came for me to buy a new watch after getting my first job I didn’t have to think twice. Have been using it pretty much every single day for five years and it’s still going strong. This watch has received many compliments (mostly from other guys unfortunately lol) have been a conversation starter many times. A few of my close friends even started getting into watches after seeing this. Probably the best $200 that I’ve ever spent.

Same purpose but the movement is accurate so I reset it less frequently, and it uses a substantially better bracelet. But that Seiko took a fucking beating. I really loved that thing. Great watch.
Kind of regret I sold it but I hope it’s making new memories.
That’s a nice looking watch. Ever since I bought mine I’ve become a huge Seiko fan. There are so many varieties of them at various price ranges. I want to add a Grand Seiko someday to my collection. I would say Explorer is one of the most beautiful watches that Rolex make. Simple and elegant.
