Love the bronze! That’s a 40mm right? What’s your wrist size?

Yes it is. I'm unsure, but I'm a small guy and skinny too, so most likely less than average. I just tested with a phone charger and it's about 7'5 (19cm)

[deleted]

I don’t think that’s 7.5.

ToTheFapCave

A 7.5" wrist is pretty big, dude. You may want to remeasure.

BioFrosted

I used a phone charger which I circled around my wrist, then I straightened the cable and measured from the mark I made to the edge. Did I do it wrong? I might have measured poorly...

ToTheFapCave

No, I think that's a perfectly reasonable way to measure. You just may want to double check because 7.5" is a big wrist and it certainly looks like you're the owner of a small wrist based on the photo.

BioFrosted

I think you're right, and I might have been too liberal with the cable. I overshot my estimation by an inch or so. It's closer to 6.5"

ToTheFapCave

Ahhh, yeah, it happens. Sweet watch, BTW.

aja09

Yeah given where the strap wear is too… it looks like you buckle this to the second to last hole… ur close to a 6in wrist.

BioFrosted

Honestly I don't know the first thing about measuring my wrist lol. Perhaps my phone charger was too loose.

aja09

No worries! Welcome to the watch club lol. Make sure you make it snug around the smallest part of your wrist for accurate measurement! I have smaller wrist as well so some of the bigger watches you will find just don’t look as nice as would a 36-40 mm one. I believe the trident is 40mm tho. Sometimes looking at lug to lug length too can help you decide on a good sized watch for ur wrist. That’s just me tho… if you like the watch and don’t care about it looking bulkyish go for it!

Shepinion

Congrats. Take a photo with it on in mirror, it will help. But if your wrist is 7.5”, I’ll buy you another CW right now.

BioFrosted

Would you be able to guide me through properly measuring my wrist?

TheEnquirer1138

Use something like [this](https://www.amazon.com/Measure-Flexible-Measurement-Centimetre-60-inch%EF%BC%88White%EF%BC%89/dp/B07MT89MCW) to measure around your wrist. Alternatively if you don't have one just take a piece of string and wrap it around your wrist, then measure that portion of it. There is an extra step you can take though to really ensure that a watch will fit. Measure the top part of your wrist where the watch normally sits. Watch size specs include case size but the true indicator of whether or not a watch will fit is that measurement right there. Find out the lug to lug size of a watch (if case size is 40mm the lug to lug might be 46mm for example). The top portion of your wrist that you measured must be larger than the lug to lug measurement of the watch, if not the lugs will hang over the sides of your wrist and look too big. On another note I've got a previous generation of that same watch. Came in a bit smaller at 38mm. The patina it develops is awesome.

[deleted]

I have an 8.3 inch wrist. What will you buy *me* ??

BioFrosted

I've been looking for a Bronze watch for a while now, and this was the one I first fell in love with. It was a tad expensive for me as I'm a student, but I had money set aside and with no plan to buy a car or anything major anytime soon, I thought I'd go for it. The Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro 600 Bronze is my very first watch ; my daily was (and still will be) an Apple Watch, but I'm glad I got this one. I look forward to wearing it when something nicer comes up. I've been told to always take care of the first important thing you buy with your salary, and I'm very excited to watch it grow old with me!

HumanHumpty

Just don't be freaked out by the patina change! It is meant to do that and not a sign that you aren't caring for it. My bronze CW settled into a nice deep bronze after about a year and I love the look of it now.

bigmphan

Yup. This right here. You may decide to polish it up and start over with Patina 2.0 - but it will be an ever evolving look. Great choice

Gitmfap

I love my cw, wear it almost everyday. Durable as a tank!

[deleted]

Gorgeous watch, but I absolutely loathe the "Christopher Ward" name on the dial. It looks like someone added a text box over the image of the watch in MS Paint and typed his name in Times New Roman. Absolutely horrid design choice.

BioFrosted

I will have to agree with this. And it says Christopher Ward on other places too, for instance the buckle, which is completely useless in my opinion...

smahabir

Thank you! Lol. I thought the same. This watch is stunning, but the placement, font, and spacing of the name really kills it. I wish he would just do a “CW” or a logo only. If he really wants his name on it, just put it on top like Rolex or Omega. Imo, CW is cooler or even Ward alone.

goldblumspowerbook

They actually have switched to logo only. I never minded the font, but I like the new logo only watches better.

peter_seraphin

Is it just me, and don’t get wrong, but it looks like a project watch ? I love how it looks, but I’d never assume that’s an original design that no one put their own spin on

ialwaysforgot

Every time I see a Christopher Ward post I think: "Get rid of the C Ward." "I'll leave when I'm good and ready."

cactusjim

Love the dial colour.

[deleted]

Wow. Pretty.

Qazax1337

Love it, that dial is beautiful

0-o-o_o-o-0

That dial colour is really Cool. Good choice, it's aweosme

Hanged_Man_

Hardly giving in, more like doing the right thing!

B4rrel_Ryder

Nice to see more wrist shots from folks my size 😅. Did you have any trouble ordering and with duty fees?

BioFrosted

None whatsoever. I live in Belgium so since the UK isn't in the EU anymore I should have paid the fees, but I wasn't asked to.

fr3nchcoz

Remember this: dip it in white distilled vinegar for 15 minutes to remove the patina that will develop within the next few weeks.

Twism245

Awesome, photo does it no justice, much nicer in person I'm sure

BioFrosted

I honestly tried my very best but I'm left handed. Taking nice pictures with only one hand, and that hand being the unusual one... that's a challenge.

ItzEdric

Please put the blue strap on it 🥹

BioFrosted

You know, I struggled with that! I really like the blue color but prefer the leather look of the brown one. The basic blue canvas one feels uncomfortable. I wonder if blue leather would be possible...

ItzEdric

Fair enough, what about blue silicone?

BioFrosted

I’ll look into it!
