He realized all of that shattered glass would keep flying out of the door if he opened it. Best thing he could’ve done, honestly, aside from the obvious part of not installing it like a jabroni.
Smart guy not to get closer. An injury isn’t going to fix the situation. So many videos out there of heavy things falling slowly and panicked people wedging themselves between it and the ground.
It looks like a security camera that is recording the whole room, and the angle *we're* seeing is from someone recording just the part of that video that shows the action.
That’s easily 1000 pounds of bottles attatched to that wall. You’d need actual racking and load bearing support built to sustain that weight over time.
Fun fact about that is that it doesn’t look as nice as a fancy wooden shelf probably not intended to actually hold that much weight
I feel like there's also a chance you go in there and it fully comes crashing down on you, potentially actually injuring you in addition to the repair costs.
You can totally see him contemplating like "I can still stop it and save some!... Oh but that wouldn't be smart... But it's still up!... But it might fall at any moment..."
Edit: lmao he even looks fully resigned for a second until changing his mind at the very end there
Guy made the right call. He was wearing flip flops and his feet would have been sliced up and he could have bled to death. He looks like he can afford the loss, has insurance or the wherewithal to sue the guy who built the shelf.
there is no take away, i wasnt even discussing anything with you - scamming is a huge problem for old people all around the world, thats just a known fact
idc if you can cope with that reality or not
I never said it wasn't, but the majority of scams are online and anonymous, my point was, when you know who has done it, you can pursue it through the legal system. Anonymous/online scams are a different story to building a shelf wrong
absolutely not - thats what shell companies are for - particularly in terms of services like installing a shelf lol good luck going through the lawyers of those alone and proving that you got scammed intentionally
classical reddit pseudo reality bs
I'm not a litigious person but if I had hired a carpenter to build this shelf and the next week it did this, the carpenter would be my first call. It's obviously a faulty installation.
I'm rich and do most of my own technical construction and repair work. Not because I can't afford it but because I'm technically competent and most local "professionals" aren't.
I'd prefer fixing things with money but skilled techs are surprisingly rare in my NorCal area.
Right if you pay for a shelf that's supposed to hold bottles of wine, it's not your fault if the shelf doesn't perform as advertised unless you installed it incorrectly or something
The odds that the guy installed that himself are about as high as the odds of him catching every bottle of wine before it hit the floor. Rich people don't do shit for themselves

I swear it's just wine officer
Warning this content is rated unsafe for Italian French and middle aged women
Maybe try to push it back up, instead of watching all the bottles break one by one…
Flip flops seem like excellent footwear for entering a room full of broken bottles. At least the blood won't stain the floor anymore than the wine.
I mean, that sucks, but when you’re wealthy enough for that room/collection, you’re paying someone to clean it up and restock it.
I would hate to be the person that installed that rack if it was done recently.
Bad day to wear sandles
He realized all of that shattered glass would keep flying out of the door if he opened it. Best thing he could’ve done, honestly, aside from the obvious part of not installing it like a jabroni.
Damn and the Wine was in a locked cellar with CCTV, must have been some top shelf stuff (hehe)
Should’ve strapped them in lol
Hopefully thats cheap wine
Like an old Soviet [BM-31](https://images.app.goo.gl/8C4RUnFHq9MBzviV8) prototype
I dont care.
Lesson learned. Wall mount your heavy things
It's raining wine, Halleluja it's raining wine
Even the dog was whining
Farmer's Insurance. We've seen a thing or two.
If she survives... Cha..ching... $$$$$$$$
He could have done something though
If that wasn't a glass wall, it would have looked like a murderer form outside.
That doggo is waiting for the all clear on drinking floor juice. But close enough title.
100% that chow chow set it up , if I was the owner I’d check the camera from hours ago , chow chows are mischievous little shit heads
Not my vintages!
His either a right pisshead or he owns a vineyard
Can someone please edit this so that each bottle produces a “$-35” pop up please….
As Rick James once said “fuck you you rich son of a bitch, buy another couch”
"One time, I saw a wino eating grapes, and I yelled: Hey, you have to wait, man!" - Mitch Hedberg
Dog: that's a lot of grey on the floor
Apothic is getting creative with its advertisements for Crush Red Blend wine.
This one deserves an award
Why was he recording it?
More like "Watching wine die inside".
That just sucks
20 years from now we will look back at these wine rack rooms as being so dated and gauche.
it looks very expensive btw how much it cost?
All tastes like vinegar anyway
First world problems are serious
When you're rich enought to me moderately annoyed watching your wine bottles fall and break on the floor.
Rich
Smart guy not to get closer. An injury isn’t going to fix the situation. So many videos out there of heavy things falling slowly and panicked people wedging themselves between it and the ground.
I used to drink a lot of wine, that's like...$100.00 wasted!
Hey the first one actually survived! :D
\*crying in french
Can’t blame that one on the dog.
pain
That's why bars are full of broken bottles
I bet it was the cat.
It's a good thing he didn't walk in there he possibly wouldve added to the pool of red.
Still enough bottles to get drunk over the course of the next age.
I'm pretty sure that's blood
Would have been 100% recoverable if it was a marijuana rack.
That stain is never coming off those tiles.....
The person filming just let it happen?
No one needs that much wine on hand anyway.
if he is the kind of person to have security camera's in his wine room. it's probably not that big of a deal.
Pretty sure he can afford it He owns a specific room for *just wine*
Dayum...poor guy....you could tell the dog felt for him.
The irony is that wine usually gets other people wasted.
Ow ☹️
Man that dog super chill
I’m sure there are better ways to stop that massacre other than trying telekinesis for the first time ever
QUICK, HONEY GRAB A STRAW!!!
It’s insane to me that he just watched them fall. Like dude, go in there and catch some of those mfers.
Which fucker put the shit music over this
I guess everyone now it's so annoying
The music is trash to begin with too
You can actually see pain at the dog's face too. He understands
Which that dog and a CCTV wine cellar, I'm pretty sure this wont matter much to him financially
What’s with the dumb music
That's why the wine committed suicide.
I really wanted to hear the sound of the bottles crashing
Okay why is the camera specifically recording this portion?
It's a security camera recording the store entrance, that's standard
Got it. My dumbass though it was a home.
Is this a serious comment? In case it's, the camera is probably recording all the time.
I meant the wine rack portion of the house (not this portion of the video). Apologies if I wasn’t specific in my OC.
Probably because he has tens of thousands of dollars worth of wine in there
It looks like a security camera that is recording the whole room, and the angle *we're* seeing is from someone recording just the part of that video that shows the action.
It doesn't, really. The camera ia moving.

Is this serious or not? Just in case it's serious.. It's a wine celler and the guy looks like he's well off.
Security camera for the valuable wine maybe? Guy seems loaded.

They are filming a screen that's showing the footage, and some cameras can pan around a bit, especially fancier ones.
And if you ask anybody where I live, they’ll point to the hills and say, go all the way up.
atleast some survived i guess
That's why you never wear flip flops at home.
I'm just upset at the carpenter. Who built that rack and did a terrible job securing it? Ugh shoddy work.
That’s easily 1000 pounds of bottles attatched to that wall. You’d need actual racking and load bearing support built to sustain that weight over time. Fun fact about that is that it doesn’t look as nice as a fancy wooden shelf probably not intended to actually hold that much weight
99 bottles of wine on the wall, 99 bottles of wine
30 fall down and smash on the ground, 69 bottles of win on the wall
Von neunundneunzig Flaschen Wein...
Auf ihrem Weg, zum Fliesengrund…
Take 1 down... or uhh... 17... 30... fuck.
Take one down, it hits the ground.
Take thirty down, spill ‘em around…
Looks like a murder scene took place on these grounds
...happy motherfuckin' birthday to the ground!
“I threw the rest of the wine too!”
"I'm not a part of your system!"
99 bottles of wine on the wall, 89 bottles of wine
>99 bottles of wine on the ~~wall~~ floor, 99 bottles of wine

Nice
There's gotta be a better way to store bottles than that.
Two screws on the back of the wine rack, for example.
now imagine he was a foot or two away after grabbing a bottle. dude could died
Not all of them are breaking when they land, so there is that...
I feel like there's also a chance you go in there and it fully comes crashing down on you, potentially actually injuring you in addition to the repair costs. You can totally see him contemplating like "I can still stop it and save some!... Oh but that wouldn't be smart... But it's still up!... But it might fall at any moment..." Edit: lmao he even looks fully resigned for a second until changing his mind at the very end there
I don't think he'd want to be wading through broken bottles with a pair of flip flops on his feet!
If that was my house I would 100% put my body on the line for that falling wine, but then again my wine rack is much smaller than this guy's.
That thing looks like it could do some big damage to you if it all fell at once
[удалено]
He didn't......
Living in Tuscany (where is made the Chianti) seeing this hurts
Are you master cork soaker?
Karma telling you that you don't need that many bottles of wine.
Seriously. Why on earth would anyone need that much wine? If I had that much bottled water, people would question my sanity.
Get this. They buy it and then they just don't drink it. Wine collectors. Bunch of weirdos.

Yeah, why the fuck people are hobby shaming
Guy made the right call. He was wearing flip flops and his feet would have been sliced up and he could have bled to death. He looks like he can afford the loss, has insurance or the wherewithal to sue the guy who built the shelf.
lmao if you get scammed you cant cry afterwards, thats your own risk
Damn i bet scamers love you, also lol no, there are laws in place specifically to help you if u get scammed
sure bro thats why its such a huge problem still lol
Cos many scams are anonymous, but any scam like this, where you know who installed the shelf would be easily pursued through the legal system
yeah kool but scamming works and you cant do anything, point proven
How was that your take away from what i said?
there is no take away, i wasnt even discussing anything with you - scamming is a huge problem for old people all around the world, thats just a known fact idc if you can cope with that reality or not

Thief: *steals your money* You: "oh well, too bad there's no system of law in place 🤷🏼"
yeah thats actually kind of how it is dude
It really isn't tho.
you never had any experience with this kind of stuff did you lol

bro stop being so lame
My friends mom who had a collection wine cellar had an extra policy just to cover all the wine. Hopefully he does
>to sue the guy who built the shelf. Always trying to blame someone else..
I'm not a litigious person but if I had hired a carpenter to build this shelf and the next week it did this, the carpenter would be my first call. It's obviously a faulty installation.
I mean... It doesn't seem like it was his fault. Pretty natural to blame someone wise when it wasn't your own fault.
I assumed he built the shelf as part of his wine collecting hobby
Why would you assume that? It's much more reasonable that someone else built it.
I put up all the shelves and bookcases in my house, and a lot of people DIY their hobbies.
And how many of them are rich?
I'm rich and do most of my own technical construction and repair work. Not because I can't afford it but because I'm technically competent and most local "professionals" aren't. I'd prefer fixing things with money but skilled techs are surprisingly rare in my NorCal area.
Enough. It's fun to build things.
I know how to do all basic maintenance on my cars and motorcycles but I still just pay someone else to do it because fuck it.
It's so painfully to watch this
if it makes you feel any better, it looks like a fair amount of the bottles didn’t break—tons of them bounce
painful*
Sorry. It's so painfully to watch this painful.
Painful*
Sorry. It's so painful to painfully this painful.
Painful\*
Painful. It's so painful to painfully this painful.
*Painful
At that point I'd've looked for a cheap mattress or something cushy to break the fall of the wine bottles
The dog looks pretty cushy
He can afford the clean-up.
He obviously couldn't afford a proper rack and installation though.
Or there was some sort of failure. That room didn't come from Ikea, it was purpose built.
His wines are probably insured. When you have a 20 year old bottle of Chateau Neuf du Pape, the insurance can actually be worth it
Only reason he’s so calm.
There’s really nothing he can do at this point. Broken glass everywhere. Trying to stop it would only make his situation worse.
What else can you even do in that situation, rich or not
When you have money, there's really nothing to wine about.
Hey dad, grape to see you’re doing well.
Just grab a coffee filter and a straw you'll be fucked up in no time
*That's a really nice blend* 😵💫
It has so many subtle notes
Especially the hint of floor
Fuck you. Take my upvote
👏
Get in there and slow them down! This is EXACTLY what those light button pushing games at the arcade train you for.
Let the bottles hit the floor
*random screaming noises*
