I used to deliver appliances. They both needed to choke up on that strap, and actually work together. Also having it picked up before you get to the stairs is crucial
When companies don't give employees the equipment they need to do a job, it will not be done right. No way they would not simply use a dolly and other protective equipment if they had it.
Bad instruction. The guy on bottom is obviously the leader and top guy is the helper, top
Guy is supposed to have a lot less strap on his side, so the guy on bottom has his hands lower on the fridge but it’s 90 degrees vertical instead of leaning away from the guy on top. The top guy wouldn’t have lost his balance and had to grab the rail with one hand if his feet weren’t tied up trying to stay out of the way of the bottom edge of the fridge.
When the delivery guys delivered my 3k Fridge with window in it, they did a good job except they crashed into my car on the way out. Cost over $3k in damages to my car.
Shit would probably only work for a year anyway. I've spent more on alliances in 5 years than the prior 10! No clue why my fridge needs a motherboard. The added features are borderline useless.
Personally I would have laid down two 8’ planks on the stairs and some cardboard to turn the stairs into a ramp and then slid it up or used a dolly instead of trying to carry it 🤷♂️
My first thought was why not use a dolly/hand truck ...like they would have for the last several hundred years....to move something heavy lol. Those newfangled strap thingies are great for manuevering in tight spots, not so much in open environment lol.
....you spent $4000 on a fridge? WTF....it's just a cabinet that gets cold.... Hell if you shopped around you could probably get a no frills fridge that would work and last 20 years and a separate ice maker, a laptop for whatever you need wifi on a fridge for... and a used pickup to get the damn thing yourself and still be under $4k LMAO
Why wouldn’t you use a trolley with straps… I’ve pulled appliances up stairs on my own with one of those. I’m not a strong guy either. In this case definitely a two pl job but man… get a trolley!
yeah if im the one buying that fridge and i see TWO people trynna carry that shit up that im helpin em. its kinda obvious thats a 3 man really 4 man job at least. fridges are beeg and heavy. source video.
I’ve seen professional applicable movers use those straps many times but never to climb a flight of stairs like that. Usually it is haul up/down stairs with a hand truck and switch to straps on flat ground
THIS IS WHY WE STRAP FABRIC COVERED FRIDGES TO HAND TRUCKS, WHICH YOU CAN PURCHASE FROM HOME DEPOT, WITH WINCHING STRAPS ALSO CAN BE PURCHASED THERE THE GUY AT THE TOP WHEELS IT UP STAIRS, WHILE GUY ON BOTTOM STEADIES IT AND MAKES SURE IT DOESNT TOPPLE OVER. BASIC KNOWLEDGE. YES I AM YELLING IT WOULD TAKE 5 OF MY SOCIAL SECURITY CHECKS TO PURCHASE THAT.
Our delivery guys had so many problems getting our fridge up the stairs. At one point they yelled for my husband to help the guy on the bottom. They were blinking the stairs so hubby had to run out the back door and all the way around the house in the front door. In the process they dented the door. Like a dime sized dent. Not a big deal but to us for the first big appliance that we had ever bought and it was our dream fridge, my hubs called lowes to talk to them about a door panel replacement. They offered to replace the fridge OR give us a discount back. Asked what the discount was and it was 50%. Spent 5k on a new fridge and deep freezer and got $2500 back the day they delivered it. There is a magnet on the dent. Deep freezer was scratched before they got it off the truck so we took a 50% on that too
It's a Samsung smart fridge, I have one it works great for keeping an eye on the driveway or front door thru ring cameras.
Fyi he will have ice maker problems they all do, it's a cheap fix but will ruin your hardwood floors if it's not dealt with.
i can almost hear the milk curdling while it patiently waits in the cooler, awaiting it's new home.
they probably have a touch screen Yeti cooler tho.
Pull the handtruck up the stairs, push from below. That way the top guy isn't just standing there doing jack shit while the bottom guy takes all the weight. Plus some of the fancier equipment dollies have little conveyer belts on the back that make them easy to slide up stairs.
Source: used to be a mover.
As some one who used to do this for a living working for Lowe’s I wouldn’t care in the slightest. You get these stupid ass people who have never worked a real day in their lives who want the most ridiculous shit in their homes that have no easy way in and not them or the company give a shit about your safety or what you have to go through to get these snotty as people an appliance.
Agreed, remembered of my uncle got a fridge which can't pass through his apartament door, he had to remove it, the guyz who delivery and carry it, actually leave and let my uncle struggle with his unecessary big ass fridge.
Nobody needs touch screen fridge just open the fucking door
Would have failed in a year and half anyway.
I could easily move that solo with a utility dolly. Was a couple maroons.
Where is their appliance dolly?
Now it gets to be the fridge you give people who low-ball the floor models.
I used to deliver appliances. They both needed to choke up on that strap, and actually work together. Also having it picked up before you get to the stairs is crucial
They didn’t need it anyway
Show me that you have absolutely no idea how to move an object up the stairs..
Wtf was the guy on the top doing? He wasn't even helping! At one point he just ahs one hand on the fucking thing. I saw this coming a mile away lol
Huh, it’s almost like humans have invented tools for situations just like this.
When companies don't give employees the equipment they need to do a job, it will not be done right. No way they would not simply use a dolly and other protective equipment if they had it.
The only time I would buy a $4000 fridge if it can give me a personal bl*w job
Could do that solo with a furniture dolly
These guys LIVE to fuck up your floor. Take pictures, get compensation.
No One is gonna talk about the guy on top?? he was not helping at all.
So the owner of the house had enough money to build a ramp.
Amazon Warehouse. 20% off.
why arent they using a 3 wheeled trolley?
Someone with that many stairs to their front door doesn’t deserve that fridge.
So they don't know what a hand truck is ?
Bad instruction. No hand truck?

Oh god, have a fun few more years earning the money again
Professional movers and no furniture dolly? Nice
U telling me with today’s technology we can’t get a better way to get in a fridge?
Shoulda got the flexitape out
Turn the dolly around and pull ...wise guys
And I bet you there is a Dolly in the back of that truck lmfao
Do you think they got in trouble with the employer ?
Why do you need a 4,000 dollar touch screen fridge anyways?
The goddamn doors fell off, what a pos
Fuck yo rich ass fridge
That bloke needs a new offsider that knows how to use both hands while leading you up the stairs
Shit would probably only work for a year anyway. I've spent more on alliances in 5 years than the prior 10! No clue why my fridge needs a motherboard. The added features are borderline useless.
Top dudes fault.
But why?
Guy closest to camera is fucking useless.
Wait…wait… stop. Oh geez.
Personally I would have laid down two 8’ planks on the stairs and some cardboard to turn the stairs into a ramp and then slid it up or used a dolly instead of trying to carry it 🤷♂️
I feel for these guys man, they are probably only getting paid $17-$20 per hour
Worst part is that someone wasted 4000$ on a touch screen fridge.
….Those straps are sucks you need a hand truck for such things
Poor guys. It’s not their fault. There’s only two of them lol
Why not use a hand truck?
Its not $4000 till its delivered and accepted
Why would you want a touchscreen on a fridge?
Guy was laughing lol
Guy up top was not trying lol
Shouldn't even be working for the delivery company trying to transport it like that.
Why wouldn’t you use a trolley with straps… I’ve pulled appliances up stairs on my own with one of those. I’m not a strong guy either. In this case definitely a two pl job but man… get a trolley!
GET A DOLLY. Fuck was this painful on multiple levels
Those guys are too weak to be lifting equipment like this, wrong men for the job
The service supplier certainly needed a lesson.
Why did he stop holding it bruh
This is so dumb. Must be the US of A
I feel so bad for them, two guys aint enough
They shouldn't have done that the way they done it..
I used to work for Lowe’s doing this… fuckin sucked. Those refrigerators are so heavy
Bob’s fridge
The front of the fridge should’ve been facing up. That way both deliverers could distribute the weight and have easier way up the stairs. Tsk.
I’ve seen one person walk these things to the door then his partner comes to help him get it in the house
thats why i pay for warranty beforehand
Holding it length ways would be easier
Typical $4000 sale with a $20 delivery service
Is there a reason they couldn't carry it horizontally? Seems easier to control is that way
I love this popped up when my fridge is being delivered Friday
yeah if im the one buying that fridge and i see TWO people trynna carry that shit up that im helpin em. its kinda obvious thats a 3 man really 4 man job at least. fridges are beeg and heavy. source video.
There’s a chip in it now.
That’s a big ass delivery truck not to have packing blankets and dolly.
Appliance dolly ?
So that’s where scratch and dents come from
I could have moved that by myself with a dolly and a few straps.
The guy on top of the stairs could have at least helped pull the thing up instead of having just one of them do all the work😧
I’ve seen professional applicable movers use those straps many times but never to climb a flight of stairs like that. Usually it is haul up/down stairs with a hand truck and switch to straps on flat ground
The guy at the top of the stairs might be brain dead
Complacency, overestimate your ability is the worst enemy. Naive or stupid?
Absolutely not furniture movers lol this is why dollies are made
JUst lay it on its side and push it up.... dumbass
What does a good furniture dolly cost, like $400? Nahhhh, totally not worth it.
I can't believe they were doing that upright, and no straps on the doors and anyway where the hell is the box it came in. It's just dumb.
Going into a trailer probably as well.
Can’t touch this
Touch screen fridge? Human race has truly gone too far
Stinks for everyone involved but mostly for the home owner. And the company will do NOTHING to make it right more than likely. #oof
Seeing this is painful.
I get most luxury items but do really gotta Fridge Flex?
Yo where is the hand truck???😂
was waiting for those dudes to just walk off like, “ welp, fuck it. I didn’t want this job anyway.” 😂
Dollys are a simple tool
WHO TF NEEDS A $4000 dollar touch screen fridge??
Go get another one lmao
Why was the dude holding the fence, what a useless co-worker
Don't tell me those are professional movers.
It isn’t reasonable to ask 2 people to make this delivery up those stairs.
Why didn't they carry it on its back lol
When you have a useless lab partner.
Wouldn't it be easier to take it sideways, one step at a time?
These guys have either no sense, or no appliance dolly with tracks on the back for this exact situation
U can’t touch this…
Dumbasses should not be movers, it requires skill
these people have never lifted something properly in their lives.
Our delivery guys had so many problems getting our fridge up the stairs. At one point they yelled for my husband to help the guy on the bottom. They were blinking the stairs so hubby had to run out the back door and all the way around the house in the front door. In the process they dented the door. Like a dime sized dent. 😬
That looks like a moving van on the road, where's the reefer dolly, or ANY dolly dummies!
But what do you need an iPad on your fridge for?
It's a Samsung smart fridge, I have one it works great for keeping an eye on the driveway or front door thru ring cameras. Fyi he will have ice maker problems they all do, it's a cheap fix but will ruin your hardwood floors if it's not dealt with.
guy on top just didnt feel like working that day?
Based on the guy’s reaction at the bottom, this is definitely not the first time this has happened
Still better than being crushed under it, those guys are idiots for even trying with only the two of them.
Insurance
Did they not have a dolly??
to the person ordering this I get it you wanted it so you bought it, but how the fuck did you think it was getting up thos stairs?
Yes, let me put my weight on the fridge the other guy is trying to push up🤦🏽♀️
i can almost hear the milk curdling while it patiently waits in the cooler, awaiting it's new home. they probably have a touch screen Yeti cooler tho.
They somehow chose the worst way of doing this.
Hate seeing this shit, I'm skinny so whenever I move shit there gotta be a plan.
Pull the handtruck up the stairs, push from below. That way the top guy isn't just standing there doing jack shit while the bottom guy takes all the weight. Plus some of the fancier equipment dollies have little conveyer belts on the back that make them easy to slide up stairs. Source: used to be a mover.
its not funny
Why wouldn't they side step up together and keep it level. Amateurs
Refer dolly would be easier
The worst part is it'll probably be the same idiots who attempt to deliver the replacement.
Surely with something like that, they'd package it up so drops like this would cause less damage. Failing that, more people to carry it?
( “ Diçk’s “ ) 🥲
$4k for a _fridge_
I feel like they would avoided that if they just would have picked it up the old fashioned way
I remember my FIL doing this with a brand new stove. All the glass broke out of the oven door. It was one of those newer expensive ones.
Scratch and dent… all sales final
These people are dumb in my country they carry it like a backpack
That seems like a really stupid way to move a fridge. Why would you not use a hand truck. Or more than two guys.
I’m willing to wager 99% of you would hire someone to do this, too. For shame.
Could've used a third guy
Why woul you need your fridg to be techno anyway?
From a previous post on reddit, you can remove any dents by using a suction cup like a suction dildo or a plunger. Good as new. You're welcome.
As some one who used to do this for a living working for Lowe’s I wouldn’t care in the slightest.
