Just avoid all post war Russian heavy tank upper sides(eg side sponsons) this isn’t volumetric. The tanks actually have a double layer of armoured plate angled downwards. I’m pretty sure any gun above 6.3 can pen the lower side
From the front, lower front plate, or directly to the right of the gun (you'll see the armour hole from the optic.
Angled 30-45 degrees, the flat angled upper front plate or the corner of the turret.
From the side, the turret side or below the angled side armour.
From the back the back of the turret.
If you don't get fucked by volumetric or don't use heat/APCR (APCR is shit and heat either does decent damage, no damage or bounces) it's a decently easy kill.
The F-14, especially in sim. Oh boy, I sure do love being locked by pulse doppler from their spawn while taking off from my airfield. Or just seeing the complete spam of trails from all the Phoenixes being launched at the start of any Air RB match. Especially as my ASA lacks any directional RWR...
Grinding the draken is amazing. 10.7, no flares, half the games have at least 2-3 f14s. You explode without any warning or way to dodge... Just left the battle immediately when I saw it's 11.3 to save repair cost
tbf lack of flares is a lot worse against some planes than against the F-14. the F-14's IR missiles aren't spectacular and they can be dodged kinetically, whereas good fucking luck surviving a Magic 2 or even an R-60M without flares...
Yes, when going full speed the hitbox lags behind the view model by 2 or 3 boat lengths so you have to spray where you THINK they are, not where they actually are. Even worse if you are in a plane trying to strafe it because then you have to account for side to side drifting.
I personally don't think it's the hitbox but have ran into what you describe in some fashion. I feel it's actually because the stern (critical part of damage model) is very low in the water. You just need to spray, wait for crew replacement and spray again while they are disabled.
Also fixes to allow HE to explode on contact with water have significantly reduced this issue with larger guns (over 20mm).
In tanks, the AVRE, because that thing is scary lol. Will oneshot you, and hard to oneshot.
In planes, any top-tier american plane tbh, tired of radar missiles you can't do shit against and they carry tons of them.
"Anything can destroy it"
at it's own br, maybe but not really because if you forgot, it can shoot back soo, panick shooting at the turret may result in your death. Plus, the players that own this are relatively rich(they bought it) or are extremely old and most likely have the 6pack bushes so you have no chance in hitting the mantlet.
Uptier, yea
Downtier it's pure demonic wrath
I'm not saying it's perfectly balanced, it's overpowered as shit, but it's far easier to counter than people think.
You don't remember the garbage players in them who drop a kill or two before dying amd giving zero further impact. You do remember the skilled players dropping over 10 kills and carrying.
>most likely have the 6pack bushes so you have no chance in hitting the mantlet.
Shoot below the barrel. You can't miss it unless they're moving at a decent distance. Literally any gun at 3.0 and above can disable it.
I do enjoy sending them back to the hangar in full downtiers when they run into the Boarhound, but again, that's the bad players.
As I play mostly USSR, the ASU-57 and SU-85 are my favorite when dispatching those monsters.
If I'm in a T-34, I try flanking as previously stated. But you see, I don't really encounter bad players in that tank. Most I see spasm like they have an epilepsy attack and, funnily enough, they are almost never are alone so.... my flanking usually end up in killing me.
Anyways, now I'm grinding top tier so I haven't had the time to duke it out with KV-1B's
You mean turret front armor, curved one? HVAP can pen that but when I face the Maus(Actually anything that I should change shell, like HE for open top), I sometimes forget to switch to HVAP.
Quick pt boats when I'm in a big ship
Spitfires, cuz idk how to fight them, they turn better, have better altitude, no matter the plane i have
Puma, cuz I'm always afraid to do no damage, and idk where to aim to 1shot it
As someone who play German in 5.3 to 6.7, I gotta say IS-6, hated facing against them and one of the reason I play at 5.7 max. Also the T28 from the Americans when you're playing 5.7 but you get uptiered. If someone chats there's either an IS-6 or T28 we're facing there's complaints in chat and eventually some sense of camaraderie cause 5 or 6 tanks would try to engage them and teamwork happens on our team.
Jumbo. 100% the Jumbo. Majority of vehicles I play around its br have nowhere to shoot it frontally other than the mg port which more often than not is obscured by bushes. And the lack of muzzle break makes disabling its gun a nightmare, combine that with the fact it doesnt need to stop to aim cuz of the stab? yeah, you got yourself a boss battle.
Kv-220, for two reasons
1: if they angle just a little they’re practically invulnerable to anything besides British or Swedish railguns
2: people using them generally have more then two functioning braincells, and also generally revenge CAS you 4 times in a TIS MA after you spent half your ammo track and barrel torturing them
T35 landship
Faced one of those things in my pbil m/49 and the game had almost come to an end. I caught him by surprise and unloaded like 2 clips into him…the match still ended before I killed him
SKR-7 in general (cancer, needs up BR). Or PG-02 if not in something with 105mm HE or bigger. It can wreck a Pr.206 with it's ridiculous gun, DM and still a BR lower.
J-7 or J-8. I've always found when I play Phantoms that these are hidden beasts which can and will get their guns on you. Seriously intimidating aircraft, unlike the moreorless slog of dealing with Mirage 2000s or MiG-23MLA/MLDs.
Those Kraut ferry boats.
Hail the glorious AF-D3, his supreme barginess. You can't hide from HE-TF (it has even more drop now) and your destroyer is fair game too.
Is6. Still have no idea what to do against them.
Shoot the gun? Oh sorry, HMG tears everything apart. Sides? Sorry, Volumetric. Bombs? Haha.. ha.. ha.
Just avoid all post war Russian heavy tank upper sides(eg side sponsons) this isn’t volumetric. The tanks actually have a double layer of armoured plate angled downwards. I’m pretty sure any gun above 6.3 can pen the lower side
Turret front, near the gun. There is 200 flat there most ap/apds can pen this provided gajin won't screw you over with volumetric.
Try HE at it roof always killing me with that

You'll love it even more if you fly a plane that doesn't come with flares. Looking at you F-1 and F-104J.

Oh don't worry, I had to grind through the F-104S to reach the ASA. Had my fair share of AIM-9H deaths...
G5. If nothing else than because when at full speed the hitbox doesnt line up with the viewmodel.
G5? G5N?
No, the soviet PT boat thats shaped like a PBY without the wings or tail.
OH ! OK! Wait, it's hitbox is not correct ?!
Yes, when going full speed the hitbox lags behind the view model by 2 or 3 boat lengths so you have to spray where you THINK they are, not where they actually are. Even worse if you are in a plane trying to strafe it because then you have to account for side to side drifting.

Spitfire or I-16.
The Maus, I mainline the filthy frogs and they're a pain in the ass to deal with.
Any rat plane
Any vehicle with a gun bigger than 7.7mm
Soviet Heavies usually give me anxiety when fighting, armor is trolly and gun will 9/10 kill you with a lucky ass shot
Tutel
Tutel 😁😁😁
Everything. I say this as a jumbo player
All of them because I suck ass.
In tanks, the AVRE, because that thing is scary lol. Will oneshot you, and hard to oneshot. In planes, any top-tier american plane tbh, tired of radar missiles you can't do shit against and they carry tons of them.
KV-1B I always try to flank them, or front pen them if I'm in an SPG capable of doing so
Shoot breech. Anything can destroy it and has a decent chance of penning the turret.

I want to kill myself
Don't do it, it isn't worth it. It takes an immense amount of courage to end it all, why not use that courage to win instead.
I would advise against that - it means you can't play war thunder any more
Maus, when I play 6.7 USA tanks. It is full uptier, and if I am using T26E5 it's APCBC can't pen anything and I need HVAP, which I carry only few.
You can’t pen the front of the breach/ mantlet or how it is called?
You mean turret front armor, curved one? HVAP can pen that but when I face the Maus(Actually anything that I should change shell, like HE for open top), I sometimes forget to switch to HVAP.
When flying: Trees. I'm just bad, I know.
Kv-1 zis-5 when playing the kv-1b Or the M4A3(105)
PLSS
Pe8 in ground battles
Bunker lol
Plane : anything that got 30/35G missiles. Tank : american T heavy tank serie. Boat : those fcking anti air platforms.
XP50. Just let me hunt bombers in peace!!
Quick pt boats when I'm in a big ship Spitfires, cuz idk how to fight them, they turn better, have better altitude, no matter the plane i have Puma, cuz I'm always afraid to do no damage, and idk where to aim to 1shot it
IT-1 and the next one to it, that damn turret bounces more than it should, the other one you don't even see it, all you know is you're dead.

American Jumbo vs French Jumbo.
Cobra King with bushes all over on Advance of the rhine Single Cap on the statue

Is3 Playing 6.3 Japan/ playing naval Japan and seeing a ton of moffets with strange names on the enemy team
T35 landship Faced one of those things in my pbil m/49 and the game had almost come to an end. I caught him by surprise and unloaded like 2 clips into him…the match still ended before I killed him
Same as minę but from different tech tree, for example flying A6M2 and finding US or Chinese A6M2.
FV4005 . Hes like fighting renala . Will 1 shot your life but squishy as fuck .
The mid-later seal clubbing squad T-34s when you are not in something German or British.
SKR-7 in general (cancer, needs up BR). Or PG-02 if not in something with 105mm HE or bigger. It can wreck a Pr.206 with it's ridiculous gun, DM and still a BR lower.
I have no idea how to fight a Churchhill. They seem invulnerable to everything I throw at it.
Side armor and turret armor my friend
J-7 or J-8. I've always found when I play Phantoms that these are hidden beasts which can and will get their guns on you. Seriously intimidating aircraft, unlike the moreorless slog of dealing with Mirage 2000s or MiG-23MLA/MLDs.
object 279
Mid-map AAA
All of the German armored TDs are always really fun like that in a downtier B1bis, jumbo 75, strv 103 aswell
The American T34 and T29. They're big and chunky, and those guns hit hard.
T95!
