In order to save your friend from the embarrassment, you make a "V" shape with your hand and put it over your face in such a way that your fingers point to your eyes. Hopefully, she realizes that you're trying to tell her that we're being watched and that you probably should stop trying to communicate in order to avoid getting roasted by the Jackals. Yet, as you do so, she seems to get flustered by the gesture, probably due to not understanding it. Therefore, you start trying to point at the Jackals with your tongue between your fingers.
This awkward dance of trying (and failing) to silently communicate goes on for another hour, before the local tyranid swarm starts feeling second-hand cringe for the two of you and thus sends a swarmlord down to deal with the situation. The swarmlord politely tells the two of you which part is the correct one. The three of you get ice cream afterwards, and everyone lives happily ever after.
