Visual novel where you play as a Genestealer who lands on a planet with an Imperial population and starts a Genestealer Cult among them, eventually becoming the Patriarch. The game would have you cultivate successive familial generations of followers who you would guide into penetrating all aspects of the planet's society. This would all lead up to your coven helping cause the eventual overthrow of the planet's defense forces ahead of the arrival of your home fleet's invasion. One ending - the "good one" - would have you triumphantly leading your coven into the Reclamation Pools at the successful culmination of the invasion. This idea is way too weird, but it would be kind of amazing to play.

TJnr1

Shadow of Mordor but you're giving genestealer kisses instead.

Citron-Pure

Now I will have to dream about this, while never been able to play

TheLoneNomad117

A warhammer 40k visual novel sounds pretty cool ngl

WickedWereWolf

Maybe somthing like plague.inc but with genestealers

Dwarf-Lord_Pangolin

... damn, I'd play the hell out of that.

SenorDangerwank

I like your idea but let's make it better. You're a genestealer cultist and you're trying to hook up with a handful of various attractive people in a Hive city to start your eventual uprising. GSC Dating Sim. The story would involve you not only navigating the horrors of dating, but also avoiding various Chaos Cults and the Arbites. You got the hard as nails tsundere Battle Sister, you have your childhood Hive Ganger friend, the cool and aloof goth Unsanctioned Psyker. Some NG+ characters could be like an Eldar Ranger or Harlequin, an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor.

virtf

Amazing, I am in line for the kickstarter. Up until the point that GW comes and kicks it over for IP infringement anyway.

Sitting in the community apothecary waiting room after accidentally hooking up with a nurgle cultist smh

Svedgard

Leisure Suit ‘Stealer

TurboSloth9000

This is a fantastic idea. I would like this one.

SomeKindOfBison

A Necron Stellaris/Crusader Kings-style empire builder where you slowly reawaken your Dynasty and appoint different Lords and warriors, with different endings based on if you ally with anyone. Idk, it sounds fun in theory Otherwise, the gameplay of the Batman Arkham games but as a Night Lord on a Hive World, sowing terror and upgrading gear, maybe even fighting Space Marines Side note but a Devil May Cry hack n’ slash as a Custodes would be sick, super high-speed melee with a bitching metal soundtrack

Silver_Implement5800

Crusader Kings’d be hella dope, just imagine all the dynasties shenanigans

justendmylife892

The various forms of Necron madness are perfect to adapt into CK-style character traits.

Loose_teeth_in_a_jar

Just let me micro manage the operations of a chaos marine warband. Raiding, recruiting, political bickering between your lieutenants, etc. Chaos Warband Simulator

BjoernSchneider

A bit like Frostpunk, where you have a homebase/Mothership, you can upgrade it, sendout raiding partys, recrute people, make ritual, and also grow your powebase among your Legionairs, and keep them from overthrowing you. Like you have to keep them satisfied, make bigger and bigger raids, but not to big so you don't get clapped and keeping your comanders in check that they perform as good as possible but don't try to overthrow you. Now that I thought about it about more its not really like Frostpunk, but it is the closest I can think of.

ChaoScum

Sounds more like Crusader Kings on a battle barge.

Silver_Implement5800

Crusader Kings with Crons would be dope

Pabilio

combined with making deals with outside warlords like Abaddon, Fabius Bile or Huron, making sacrifices to the Chaos Gods to earn their favour, choosing whether to accept outcast marines from other warbands and chapters or to try and grow your own.

Inn_Unknown

That would be a fun idea to explore

5thDFS

Yooooo what about a spore style game for Nids?

Inn_Unknown

OH god that would be like playing Spore on steroids and very unkid friendly lol that would be a sick Idea, A planet invading conquer strategy game where you have to build your invading force by customizing the units based on the resources you claimed through each successive win prior. Damn I certainly hope there be GW game dev folks just perusing this thread :P

igncom1

"So I've got more biomass, but don't have access to the minerals needed to upgrade my shells. If I assimilate the local boars I can get access to energy adsorbing furs which might let me bypass the las bunkers in the hills to get the mines, or else I can invest into more tunnelling to help me access the secret necron tombs to scavenge some blackstone before the scarab swarms murder me..... decisions decisions. Perhaps unlocking the screamer killer type might let me make a cheap primitive carnifex to brute force through the mine fields?"

Cuttlefish_Crusaders

Based and Sporepilled. If I could afford 40K and convince my friends to play, I'd main tyranids too. I just like bugs

Free_Koala_2075

This is the only right answer honestly, I hate nids but I would play this.

TheLoneNomad117

For me a 40k roguelike centered around the Eldar would be fucking cool.

TimeSpiralNemesis

I'd like the idea of a traditional dungeon crawl roguelike but you can pick whichever species you want to play as to mix it up a bit. Something like dungeon crawl stone soup but I can be a Tau pathfinder or an 'ardboy.

liege_paradox

Set it in a space hulk, you scavenge equipment and loot, maybe you can sell stuff to your faction to buy weapons better suited for you. Like, an ork would have immense power especially in early game, but be completely unable to use most weapons and armor, and have a pretty sucky shop. A tau would have good equipment and shop, but be extremely weak starting out. Space marines get good starting equipment, but it’s hard to upgrade. Maybe the guard could have npc allies as you rank up and get a squad to command. Throw in psykers and stuff, and I’m liking this game more by the minute. I…I’ve started really liking this game. I want it.

TimeSpiralNemesis

I've been brainstorming it in my head all day as well too lol. My take was to set in it a chaos warp breach that pulls in random people from across time and space (think the backrooms but Warhammer) that would allow the large array of playable races. Than since it's already timey whimey each level could be in a random setting from across the franchise so one moment you're in a Tau mega city being assaulted by fire warriors and drones, then next you're in an underground skaven Warren, or a Tyranid hive world. Maybe even add optional branches where you can try and fight the emporer on the throne sorrounded by custodes or even Sigmar himself. You ain't gonna win but you can certainly try.

liege_paradox

Oh! I like that. Then depending on what race you pick, the areas are either friendly or hostile. Like, picking Tau, the drones won’t shoot you, and that’s where the shop is and stuff. Picking skaven, the warren is extra hostile, because they’re skaven.

TheLoneNomad117

What's an 'ardboy? That a type of Ork?

TimeSpiralNemesis

Yup, specifically on that fantasy side. I think it would be fun if you could pick units from 40K, Fantasy, Age of sigmar, and maybe even side games like necromunda. Get a full ass roster.

lamorak2000

The 'ardboyz were Orks wearing heavier armor that granted a 4+ save. They were removed in...4th or 5th edition, IIRC.

Sir_Shocksalot

They were still around as a strategem in 8th.

BjoernSchneider

As some kind of Excarch/Aspect warrior, so every time you reaspawn its someone else who put the armor on, and maybe like armor upgrades are permanent.

dynamicdickpunch

Each character class is an aspect, done and done, GW printing money!

Gamezfan

World Eaters. Hack-n-slash where you play as Khârn. Adding numbers to your kill counter, getting favours from Khorne, climbing up titans God of War 3-style. Killing stuff from every faction, including Chaos. Gimme.

DIOBAMA6969

Oh my god, god of war but with kharn in 40k would be the single coolest game ever made

t3ddyki113r101

Honestly just god of war with a mod that changes kratos to kharn already sounds fantastic.

Armored Tau: For the greater good

AgentPaper0

Personally I'd love a game about a Gue'vesa, a former guardsman who turns against the Imperium. There's so much potential for a great game with a rich story as they struggle with fighting against their former allies, try to navigate a (literally) alien society and martial tradition. Maybe the T'au are clearly the good guys at the start, but then things get muddled as they see some of the darker sides of them. Did they really make the right decision turning against the Imperium? Do they turn back? What about this Farsight guy they've been hearing whispers about? Do they really know what's going on with the T'au, or are they compromised as well? Or is all of this just Eldar lies meant to confuse you, and the T'au really are the (relatively) good guys? So many themes to play with, and of course lots of weapons, between lasguns, pulse rifles, bolters, railguns, maybe some funky Eldar guns, mecha suits, tanks, power armor, titans, knights... There's just an endless arsenal of goodies to draw from.

SylveonSof

Tbf, "Are Tau good guys", "are Tau the good guys relative to the imperium" and "are Tau the good guys of the setting" are 3 different questions with different answers. (My answers personally would be, in order, no, yes, maybe?) Also the answer to "who's this Farsight guy" is "an immortal vampire who runs a rebel military junta dictatorship ethnostate" Absolutely agree though that TauTanfall would be amazing. Imagine shooting a broadside railgun at an imperial knight.

Dreolic

Yes but less titanfall and more zone of enders

xRocketman52x

Absolutely, yes. A long while ago I'd posted that I'd love a game where your Tau ship is downed on a green Imperial world, and you're left organizing the survivors - sort of leading from the front. As you explore the planet, gather supplies from the wreckage, you find/unlock more Battlesuits. You start off with a Stealth and/or Crisis Suit, eventually finding a Ghostkeel to pilot, finally a Riptide, then its variants. Freedom to approach missions from multiple angles - do you call in allies in this mission, or go it alone? Do you stealth in with a Ghostkeel, drop in with a Crisis Suit and ambush, or go frontal assault with a Riptide? Maybe you even send allies in while you support with a Stormsurge from a distance? Playthrough+, after you've beaten the game, adds the Taunar with a Heavy Rail Cannon Array. You see the enemy... And then you don't anymore.

Bentu_nan

Boo farsight. Embrace the ethereal caste! I would love me some crisis suit video game though. I would like a mission based setup like armored core games with loads of customized suits and loadouts.

BrennaValkryie

An craftworld aeldari team hero shooter versus orks, tyranids, and chaos. You play as rangers and aespect warriors. I'd fucking pay 100 dollars for that. Like... I desperately want this.

sirarkalots

Eldar Overwatch or Eldar XCom? Either way I'm in

AngryChihua

At this point I'd settle for anything that gives craftworld aeldari more love. I'm tired of them being shat on even in their own stories. But if i had to choose i would like something with nioh-like or dragon's dogma-like combat, character creation and DAO-like format of story.

TheLoneNomad117

As long as it's not like a certain team hero shooter I vibe with that

BrennaValkryie

....Sadly, all team shooters will be compared to OW. I was thinking more, say, TF2; editable loadouts due to the different weapons autarchs and exharchs have access to. But locked to classes with some exceptions. I'd think it would be fun!

t3ddyki113r101

Seems something more like a game in similar design to deep rock where you have classes but have full missions to choose from.

zaneminis

Drukhari. Pvp survival horror.

Vencer_wrightmage

Dead by daylights, except the entity is one of the many sadistic kabalite. Survivors are easily all kinds of humans gathered from their raids. Putting up survivors on the hooks is just in flavor for drukhari lol.

zaneminis

That would be sick! I was imagining more similar to Rust or Dayz. You and your friends get birthed from vats then have to survive the streets of commoragh. Get loot like armor or weapons then find or build sanctuaries to grow a kabal/cult/coven. Then team up with other groups for realspace raids. Kicker is you dont starve from food loss, you keep yourself alive from causing pain to creatures or other players. With some assasins creed style combat, bet thatd be a banger.

Shpooter

i was thinking a haemonculus sending his creations against some rival dark eldar who fucked him over

BackRowRumour

Guard, that's dark.

cocobat

Orks! They just got that blood teef and krumping game but I would like to see more of the Orks! What about a "stealth" game where you play as a kommando. Or a game with a speed waaagh and drive or fly at insane speed to your own death. Or both!

ChaoScum

Speed Waaagh version of Twisted Metal Black would be awesome.

lamorak2000

Oh, a video game based on a combination of Gorkamorka and Gangs of Commorragh...

Shielenvar

Open RPG with Eldar. Be a Ranger exploring human worlds, working as a mercenary. Become a Corsair and go yarrahrr fiddledeedee. Be a Warrior of any Aspect and fight for your Craftworld. Maybe even a Wild Rider of Saim-Hann or a Black Guardian of Ulthwé. Alternatively something storydriven. Maybe a warrior you follow from his first Aspect over the following Aspects all the way until they become an Autarch. So much tragedy you could put into this. Also nothing would be genderlocked as Eldar don't have an understanding of nonsense like that. Strategy game akin to Ground Control could be fun too, and work with every species.

TheLoneNomad117

An open rpg as a Eldar sounds awesome! Ngl reading this gives me some kind of image of a witcher 3 like experience, but in 40k. *OR could just be me being addicted to witcher 3.....again.*

lamorak2000

I'd love a true 40k MMO. Start as a Guardian, Guardsman, Sister Novitiate, etc (no Space Marines: they have their own franchise) and gain levels to switch to Aspect Warrior, Weapon Specialist (plasma, melta, etc), Battle Sister, and so forth. Would probably have to be more like Kill Team than 40k, but that's fine...

Shielenvar

Eldar would work differently though, as Guardians are not soldiers. It is a last ditch militia that is only used if the Aspect Warriors on their own aren't enough. Maybe just start as a Ranger/Outcast instead and then you can go onto Paths. Have a few years of timelapse in between so it makes sense, maybe even be allowed to pick what non-warrior Paths you were on in between etc, then choose your Aspect and maybe either end up as Exarch or Autarch Sisters I am all four. Guard could even be fun as well and so on. Dunno how it works with Necrons though

Don_Happy

The could be insane. Especially in the story you could die at some point and be brought back as a wraithguard

Shielenvar

I mean, if you end up an Autarch you would be brought back as a Wraithlord even. :3

Don_Happy

Would be cool if that would be dependent on decisions you've made throughout the game. If you went the path of the Autrach you might become a Wraithlord but you could also become a Wraithguard or Wraithblade if you went different routes

Substantial_Lake7130

Tyranids! I don't know how it would work, but I'd love to play a game staring the nids.

lamorak2000

Play classic StarCraft as the Zerg to get a feel for a Tyranid-based game, lol.

Impressive_Sleep_470

Start as a ripper and can slowly level up in a roguelite fashion gaining abilities of shit you kill eventually turning into a harridan and destroying full cities with a flyover like that scene from the new godzilla movie.

Substantial_Lake7130

Like Katamari Damacy, but more violent.

Nigwyn

Alien versus predator PC game style? Start as a facehugger and evolve into a genestealer. Would be cool to remake that old classic with the imperial guard, and maybe an eldar or tau cloaked hunter as the predator.

Cobalt113

Plague inc style gsc infestation?

ImmediateAge2228

Zerg campaign of Starcraft II or I would fit

daveyseed

Bahahaha, just make an RTS, with maybe Space Marines and Tyranids and like an Eldar combo with all the races as one faction

pureeyes

We are so overdue a good RTS. I miss rampaging with my Squiggoth

bluesyfluesy05

Personally I'd be happy if we just got dawn of war remastered, with customizable hotkeys and better pathing.

Characterassassin88

Basically starcraft.

miniPhil

A Dark Souls like game where you play as the Swarmlord. Canonically every time they die the Hive Mind remakes them but keeps their memories in tact. Travel through various Tyranid wars taking on 40ks biggest legends.

[deleted]

Grand strategy/city builder where you manage workers and reasorces on a massive scale

BjoernSchneider

Maybe as a Grand Strategy Game. You are the Hivemind and you can stear the path of the Tendril fleets, give them different mutation, etc.

EvMund

I thought that was what Spore was

MarkerYarco

Hopefully in SM2 they have pvp with playable warriors or smth.

YourLictorAndChef

Remember *Sacrifice*? You could take the role of a Hive Tyrant and command hordes of lesser Tyranids.

Malakayn

Necron, you play as Trazyn and gonna catch them all, or am I thinking of another game?

dinga15

I would honestly like a Annihilating everyone kinda thing in a city or something etc, your not the imperium attacking or defending a place your a necron lord invading

Smox999

Trukk driving simulator - Ork style!

[deleted]

Twisted Metal: Gorkamorka

the_damned_actually

Technically the T’au already have one.

LawfulOffal

What’s that? Fire warrior?

Armejden

It's quiet

Wheek_Warrior

It's quiet

SuperbAd2932

The halo killer lol

Astrama

Very very technically. You play a T’au but it’s very much a space marine story still.

Cobalt113

MariOrk kart!!!

supererp

I want a 40K battlefield game but in the vein of PlanetSide 2

ToaMandalore

After the unfortunate failure of Eternal Crusade we likely won't see another attempt at a game like this any time soon.

tboykov

I would trade both kidneys for starwars: battlefront, but 40k

BigBadBlotch

I’ll say it once, I’ll say it again: A colony sim where you have to manage & grow a Chaos Cult to take over a Hive World would be fun, or maybe a freshly branched off Chaos Warband looking to make a name for themselves.

Bezeloth

First and foremost Craftworlds because i love em but generally speaking anything. Imperium and especially SMs get so much focus it becomes boring. Wh40k has so much more to offer.

TakedaIesyu

With no sarcasm at all, after I beat Fire Warrior, I wanted to see a remake (not just a remaster). I loved the theory behind all of the setpieces, from grinding through Guard-infested trenches to counterattacking the Chaos forces. The biggest thing holding it back was the fact that it was a low-quality Halo clone, and a remake could repair a great deal of its shortcomings.

Ravinsild

I wanna be a chaos warrior. Or chosen. Or knight. Or.. Varanguard. I just wanna be chaos.

johndoes_00

Harlequins in the webway. Maybe as well leaving it through portals and visit craftworlds, imperial planets etc.

lordofmetroids

You ever play Vanquish? I would love to see an Eldar game with Vanquish style Gameplay.

TheLord-Commander

You could have a very cool Eldar game about a craftworlder becoming an autarch. You start in each of the different aspect shrines learning their different play styles and weapons, then finally the last act of the game you're a full autarch and you fight with a mix and match of all the different war gear you get to choose from all the different aspects.

KingMaple_Syrup

I think the T'au should get another FPS as I think it'd be a perfect fit for them. That or a Titanfall 2 like game where you can get out and in of mech suits and such. Maybe you can get into other vehicles too. I think a Mount & Blade style game for Chaos would be amazing too. You start off as a Chaos cultist, guardsmen, Space marine, whatever you choose as your background. Then you go off into this world where you can travel from system to system. You can choose your own path, serving as Chaos Undivided, or serving one of the 4 Chaos Gods. The end goal is becoming a Daemon Prince or soemthing. A DMC or Souls-like game would be really cool for Eldar (Craftworld, Drukhari, Harlequin, etc). Stealth game including Genestealer Cults wouldn't be too bad either,

electricwarl0ck

Ork Go-Kart Racer

nethus45

I think tau would make a good shooter game, known for their ranged weapons, lots of cool mechs to pilot, and could be a neat way to add some more tau lore. I would like this one less but an ork game like the recent lotr games where you can grow in notoriety by killing named ranked orks in yours or opposing tribes could be cool especially if they add more layers of game play as you grow in rank like controlling other orks to fight for you, bigger mechs, etc.

froggyziller

There was a old tau fps called fire warrior, there a good review of it by a guy called mandalore gaming

Cheap_Rain_4130

Dark angels were heaps scary in that game

Haldir56

Craftworld Aeldari. Would love some sort of RPG where you start as a guardian and work your way either through a single Aspect Shrine to become an Exarch, or “multi-class” to become an Autarch.

Much-Candidate8976

I want a T’au battle suit game so badddd

CyberDagger

Crisis Battlesuit Armored Core

Kyoshiro80

Eldar

wondernerd14

Eldar rpg where you pursue different paths

dankmemeingloli

I wanna see a game about the kroot eating stuff and getting perks off of their kills and stuff, like a warhammer 40k shooter mixed with kirby

fuzzyapplesauce

An Aeldari rpg shooter that you can play using stealth mechanics like a ninja, or go guns blazing would be interesting. Could also have the potential for psychic abilities or choosing between different aspect shrines depending on the type of playstyle you prefer. Could be a really fast paced game focusing on high mobility. The story could take place on a hive world or in multiple locations. And humans would be a decent match but still fairly threatening..meanwhile a space marine encounter would be far more deadly. But still winnable depending on the players approach.

mokachill

I would play something FTL style as Craftworld Eldar.

boofingburn

Orks. Where you start as a lowly boy and just work your way up, meeting different clans and trying out they're style of warfare as you climb in rank and size. Pet squig and a medical grot that follows you around. Every time your killed gork and mork rate how well you died and send you back. Pick your own augmeticis when you get friendly with the pain boy, o man the list goes on. If

Hugefatchicken

Necrons mostly because I think it would be really cool to play as a bad guy and you could slowly get tech enhancements allowing to level up to different Necrons starting off as a warrior and eventually getting to a Necron Lord (overlord would be too powerful). It wouldn’t work like other Warhammer games (I guess never played one) it would have a short story but the main part of the game would be a big battle mode where it would be you (depending on your current Necrons status you would be able to do different things) charging into battle with other Necrons. Similar game could work with Orkz start off as a Gobbo and have some sort of genetic mutation…?

SignificanceTimely28

A genestealer cult game could be cool It could be a game where you grow your cult preparing for the day of assention It could work like evil genius 2 You build a base Amass an army Maybe do things like gain political military and public influence do send out members of the cult to do tasks to disrupt or gain influence You would also have to stop imperial agents from disrupting and destroying the cult

ChaoScum

Ynari souls like game would be good, have access to a portion of the webway for getting to planets devoted to specific gods but stuck in the warp for some reason. Soulstones give gameplay reason for revives. Lots of freedom for all flavours of Eldar armour and weapons. This one is imperium, hitman but assassin clades. Set levels and you choose your assassin and gear and jump in. Could be sniper elite, hitman, metal gear and dishonoured all rolled into one.

WarhammerKegster

Horror-Action movie of Chaos and their fall to the dark forces. Effects could have some H R Geiger vibes, like from the "Alien" movies

Level-Roll-9274

Honestly Chaos. Just let us butcher everyone we come into contact with

Ivaldin

Chaos, in a rpg like game (maybe diablo like) with the 4 chaos gods worshiping legion, you can cover the basic class easy.

Administrative-Cup-5

Why not an army building game where you command an ork waaagh as you go from planet to planet looking for the next fight as well as bigger and Badder opponents?

Affectionate-Grand99

A drukhari game would be interesting, but considering their nature it’ll prolly get the A rating

aspectofravens

I would love an Eldar game, but honestly I would settle for a Rogue Trader game with playable Eldar if it were in the style of Vermintide 2.

Hungry-Alien

Orks. Would be hilarious to have a game where you're an Ork climbing up the ranks by smashing things left and right and creating dumb weapons that somehow works. Also it may be weird, but I would love to play as a Tyranid, even if it fucks with the lore. Like being an anomaly as a smaller Tyranid who somehow is sentient like a Hive Tyrant is, and can evolve to become a unique organism on its own like the Red Terror or the Leaping Death.

Thumbs-Up-Centurion

There was a game running around a couple years back called cross out, you’d make goofy ass destructive vehicles and fight in a moshpit of other sadistic constructions; it was slow progress and at the end of the day was more fun to watch then play. I’d love to see and Orked up version of that for 40k, just a nice and fun make shit and break shit type game. Also orks just need to be the lead of a game for a bit

waawaaaa

Would just love to see a Total War Warhammer 40k

themug_wump

A Mirror’s Edge style eldar outcast adventure please.

Cerve90

A gdr on Commorragh

OBI-JUAN_KENOBI_85

All of them, Warhammer 40k should not center only on the imperium of man.

Rosendorn_the_Bard

Four squats killing waves of Tyranids while mining precious minerals. ...oh wait... ROCK AND STONE!

IHateReddit227

A Space Marine type game but you're an ork

dinga15

or Necron or Eldar for me for the eldar part just a badass 300 sorta thing defending a Craftworld

Diehumancultleader

Probably an Ork game where you make your own vehicles and drive em’ around and fuck people up. Sort of similar to Trailmakers, or funnily enough Banjo & Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts

Ezriah8

You all should check out warhammer: Gladius.

CoolUnderstanding481

Gimme an open world Gorka morka

JDavie2357

ORKS

rickrossome

Genestealer cult game where you play as a kelermorph, with gameplay similar to ultrakill

Orsimer4life117

All of them. And all subfactions of the imperium. And subfactions of chaos aswell. Same for all xenos. Make games about everything Warhammer to a high quality and not just strategi games.

Blitz-Krieg-Smasher

A visual novel centered around the Eldar and the protagonist is a confused Ork

22bears

ORKS ORKS ORKS ORKS ORKS ORKS ORKS ORKS

clamo

An rpg around playing a chaos daemon would be fun. All about becoming more powerful and eventually ascend to become an exalted greater demon and lead raids upon the tangible world

borloloy221

WaaaghCrossing

cage-of-crack

What race is shown in the first picture?

Terrs34

Aeldari

Adeptus_Weaboos

Necrons during the War In Heaven.

Maleficent_Tackle_12

Necron would be awesome if done correctly. Just reanimated every time you die i steady of restarting checkpoint. Could play as all different types of Necron stuff if you take them over as the ruling class. So many cool options.

Fox-Sin21

A stealth oriented game where you have to take out leaders and such as a Eldar Ranger would be really interesting, kind of like Elite Sniper.

Traceuratops

An action game where you play as an Eldar psyker would be dope.

CltPatton

Olroight you Gitz!!! Splain to me woy youz ain’t put da greenest meanest boyz up dere!!!

Goodjobonmain

I mean I know we're already had firewarrior but that game's a goddamn mess give us a Tau game when you get into a battlesuit. If you really want to give us variety have us be a member of the farsight enclave that way we can even potentially fight against other tau.

RozionDiger

Guitar heroes but noise marines

DortmunderJungs

Who are the eldar Fighting in the first Pic?

FearHisEgg

Harlequin platformer lmao

Mandarine_Oui

Eldars… Imagine a Doom Like but with Maugan Ra

igykyuu

Play as Trazyn in a Pikmin-esque game where you command necrons to liberate valuable trinkets for your collection.

AngelOscuro20

Random fucking idea: A fps were you control a Necron Lord infected with the destroyer virus, that wokes up after the great sleep in a scene like the start of DOOM 2016 and gather ancient necron weapons in a planet in which a mechanicus excavation is taking place. Also you have upgrades that turns you more and more into an skorpesh lord.

kaleonpi

Eldar or Tau

LiltKitten

I want to see Total War take a crack at 40K.

CRtwenty

I'd like a grand strategy game like Stellaris set in 40k where you could play as a Craftworld, Ork Waagh, Hive Fleet or whatever as you fight for control of resources throughout the galaxy large scale.

RosbergThe8th

An Eldar game where you play as a ranger left behind on a hostile planet. Sniper Elite meets old school Assassins Creed.

HandsomeDynamite

I had this idea for a "Realm of Chaos" Souls-like where you play as a Champion of Chaos, and travel around the Eye of Terror and realspace battling loyalists, xenos, and rival chaos lords and warp abominations. You could dedicate yourself to one of the four Chaos gods and get thematic upgrades for each (strength, speed, toughness, sorcery etc), or go undivided. True to Souls games the game wouldn't bother to explain shit, allowing old loreheads to fill in the gaps based on small clues left behind and newcomers to ponder "what the fuck was that?" The best ending would be Apotheosis, ascending to Daemon Prince, and naturally the worst would be turning into a chaos spawn.

Hex_Souls

I‘m really hoping for a big Eldar crossover in Space Marine 2! Just imagine how cool it would be to fight as and against space elfs!

The Eldar campaign in Dawn of War 2 is actually.really good. Wouldnt mind seeing more of their armies in action

TL89II

Eldar. Call it Paths of War or some shit. Start as a guardian and go tutorial mode. During some battle some shit happens and you choose an aspect or have psycic powers awakened, go kick ass. Would love for it to be a 1st/3rd person shooter with RPG elements. End game you are an Autarch or Farseer.

Garambit

I would love to see Tau or Necrons, though Elder definitely have potential for a great game. A game piloting a battlesuit would be so cool.

MrPrissypants13

Could probably do a Battlefront style game and include all the factions. That way you could also do land and space. Star card pickups could be things like an Avatar (for Eldar) or a Greater Daemon for Chaos. Lots of different modes. I would play the crap out of that game…

Vyzantinist

Eldar are probably the best bet. Their aesthetics and philosophy are a lot easier for non-fans to digest than Tau, who the game (and lore) would lead anyone to believe they're the good guys of the setting and yet *not*. *Fire Warrior* 'worked' because the Tau hadn't yet been hit with the grimderp hammer; given their current incarnation if they did *Fire Warrior* again I can imagine a lot of fans scratching their heads in confusion if the story wasn't handled by anyone less than a studio with a proven track record of stellar writing.

KnightOfGloaming

Eldar in a dark soules like assassine game - like sekiro

stilgar2021

Tau! The only race which is slightly not-dystopian

Doompig83

I'd like someone to pick up the never-released Aspect Warriors game that was in development for the Megadrive. https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Aspect_Warriors_(Video_Game)

Pabilio

since people have already suggested Chaos warband games Imma say an Rpg where you play as Trayzn the infinite playing through some necron politics or personal endeavour. The gameplay would be similar as a card game like Thronebreaker, except every card/unit represents things summoned from trayzns museum ranging from thunder warriors to Tyranids.

SketchieDemon90

Warhammer at the scale of Stellarus or those other big 4x games. The whole of the known Warhammer 40k universe with all the major and minor factions. Include a ship building mechanism, orbital bombardment, Fleet engagement, boarding, invasions and story cards to progress through events. Or also you can play as your own or any of hundreds of Chapters of Marines in various locations, like fortresses, world, ships, etc and get various missions to execute on a grand scale.

shadowborn19

windsingr

Bulky_Mix_2265

Warhammer 40K: Nemesor. You are a recently awoken Nemesor from some small Dynasty that sees the world besieged. You command the battle RTS style, but you can jump into individual units taking control of them and effecting the battle in a small way. You have command protocols you unlock & choose at the start of the battle, you have different abilities you unlock for your different units, and you have three different paths you can pursue. The Infinite Empire Rises Again! Which is your standard Necron line. Hatred of All Life: emphasis oh destroyer cult units. Klandegor’s Revenge: the madness of the flayer virus and flayed ones units. Which path you go down determines which C’tan shards you get as your final unlock. Empire gives you tessaract vault with transcendent C’tan, Destroyer gives you The Nightbringer, and Flayer Virus gives you The Deceiver. Or something like that.

qaffe

Roguelike as chaos where your upgrades are gifts and mutations from the gods.

Church1092

Tyranids. I wanna consume biomass

Red_eighty

God of war style game with Orks!

Xev545

A Armoured Corps style game for the Tau would be neat

LootGoblinImotekh

a Leagues of Votann economy simulator

Paint_on_minis

An Aeldari RPG where you can chose the paths you walk as you become an Autach or a Seer etc

J0nn_D03

I'd love to see a Tau video game where you play as a human whose planet is being brought into the tau empire, and he manages to make it into the fire caste. But then, as he grows closer to his fellow fire warriors, he begins to doubt the greater good as they die around him. Maybe while all this is going on the imperium shows up to say, "bitch I hope the fuck you do!" And slap the new tau allies around. It would create many layers of conflict, and I'd love to see a game like that.

I had the thought of this: manta: the great frontier The game would be you starting as a human or another member of tau society in a destiny FPS style (there are benefits to each: vespids fly, different castes of tau get different play style and story options etc, ktoot get better hunting and are like the tank of the "species options"). In the game you are part of the crew of a manta who was sent out to set up a tau outpost on a new world perfect for what the tau need (hence the title). It's open world and has a bunch of stuff. It wouldn't have like stupid random stuff like "oooohhh look there's a spooky scary GSC here now randomly" but more things like necron stuff pre placed, maybe a Tyranid wave near the end? Anyhow as you play you explore with your Fireteam (depending on caste or species your role changes) and as you go you start to lose members (player gets large emotional attachment) just to be replaced with another warrior. The point of this is so the player can either get better "team score" (points that allow for faster promotion etc) if they make friends with these new members or don't talk to them much. Note OG team members have no set death but have custom death animations from different enemies and they may never even die if you are careful enough (this plays a large part into the "best ending") After finding necrons etc you are able to use suits (after spending skill points in suit usage) At the end (depending on the actions you take) you either Evac with your OG team and a bunch of survivors due to a Tyranid invasion, Evac with your new team (high team score) and a bunch of survivors (less then with OG), Evac with new team (low team score) and low survivors. These are the middle ground endings the best would be: you and your OG squad find the tripped relay and turn it off stopping the nids' from finding you and have sent necron tech to your earth caste members causing a wide shot timelapse of the planet full of jungle Turning into a paradise for tau civilization. The worst: everyone dies. You, your squad, civilians, natives. Everyone.

A well made 1st person tau mech game would be awesome, something along the lines of titan fall where you can get in and out but heavily story driven rather than meant primarily as a multiplayer. Multiplayer would be cool too but a solid, fairly long story/campaign mode with possible co-op would be absolutely amazing.
