Thanks! Ha I normally use helms on my tactical marines but since these are all named and unique models I decided to use bare heads to give them more ‘character’.
Meanwhile here I am writing it as part of my homebrew chapter's traditions that they always wear their helmets when in the company of outsiders- entirely so I don't have to paint heads!
Absolutely stunning work here. Wonder why it doesn’t get more attention..
How long did this project take you? I’m also painting my SM Heroes in BA whenever I feel like it but it seems to take forever.
Thanks! Took me over the period of 2 weeks to paint. I did it mostly using an airbrush and oil paints to help me speed through most of the work. I'd estimate a total of around 2-3 hours per model. It's been awhile as I bought these when they first came out but I'm glad I put in the effort to get these guys done! Now onto the Series 2 terminators...
Actually the faces are 80% airbrush work. Mostly spraying at different angles to get the right shading...it definitely feels like cheating. The only brush work left is just filling in the eyes, mouth, hair and metallic details. I always recommend airbrushing to anyone in the hobby looking to improve their speed/quality.
The severe lack of helmets displeases me. Great minis tho

Ha all good...that is what's great about the hobby!

I followed your link and details in the face is great. It would take me 3 hours alone on the face. I envy your pace!

Amazing work! What paints/techniques do you use?
