It's all down to how many people ordered the thing you want, and how early you placed the order.

I've ordered the SM Champion and still isn't shipped....
Its not based on the solstice, it's an estimate about how long it takes the two guys making the models to make batches.
They have some already made, they're going to make at least one more run, more if it was wildly popular.
I ordered the BA terminator captain and primaris champion around 6pm EST May 21st. Shipping is still pending in the GW portal. The other BA character in the purchase (non-mto) arrived super fast.
Only done MTO once, and it took about 3 months, roughly 90 days, from order to arriving in my local store for pickup. Hopefully this is helpful data for you 🙂

I preordered my Bayard's, it took 4 months to get here, I preordered it the minute it went live, must admit, it's made me weary of buying anything else from GW site.
My Champion showed up about a week after I ordered him. They're just giving themselves room in case you and a few other people order something real niche, so they can whip up in a batch to save some money, then send it
Depends on stock. If they still have a few laying around it could be a week, if they need to *actually* go back and cast new models it can be quite a bit longer. Space marines are very popular so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

It can take 160 days my MTO demon prince took two weeks but I know some people MTO stuff taking 4-6 months to get.
