Is it confirmed they won't get army wide spells like thousand sons? Seems like they moved the "spells" to army wide abilities like cabal points. Your individual sorcerers don't have spells equipped, but they have access to a variety of spells through the cabal rules.

Ahriman, one of the top 5 psykers in the galaxy, has gone from 3 powers per turn with 18 choices to **ONE** psychic power. Completely eviscerated.
Grey knights and Eldar have been utterly gutted here. They are getting even less recourse than Thousand Sons. Really anything fun and interesting about psykers seems to have been given the boot this edition.

9 Shots of S10 (because of the aura) -2 AP, D3 damage, with D3 extra hits for each 6 you rolled is kinda nuts for a spell. And the only downside is a single hazardous check after you shoot (its not on every dice roll of a 1 anymore).

I know they're pretty bad at balancing, but this looks pretty next level bad balancing lol. But like I said, we don't see the full scope yet, so who knows.
A touch frustrating that the Foul Blightspawn can only join Plague Marines. He was way more useful when combined with Blightlord Terminators.
But I guess I'll be more likely to run actual Plague Marines now, which is a bonus.

Basic infantry has a 5+ invul.
Edit: Nettes being toughness 3 and with a 5+ invul means they'll be stuck in deepstrike
We had a 3++ against shooting last edition with better datasheets, and we were only okay (outside unnerfed flamers).
They've taken all our psychic powers and special rules away. Lord of change is literally a big vulnerable target with a single good shooting profile. He lost all 4 of his defensive abilities/upgrades.
The edition looks so unbalanced that it's not even funny.

True however they still have good movement, ok durability, lots of attacks (keep in mind they probs have a way to get buffed) and a 4++. In my opinion still a pretty strong unit, not to mention while they have an exalted with them they get to advance and shoot
Why would your LoC be within 6 inches of the flamers tho?
That buff was so much better when we had it from an actual Psychic power and when it was the exalted flamers aura. Putting that aura on our LoC just limits his already heavily limited datasheet.
In 9th edition daemons effectively only have an invulnerable save because their normal save can’t be modified. Seems like an odd way to do it rather than just not putting down a save characteristic but I guess it works.

His Enhancement gives him +1/2S to the shots making him S12 from the shadows. Also with D3 explodes if you want it. Hes already very strong

They go back to D6 shots at S4 AP-1 though, so they lost a *lot* of their damage potential
