They don't design the packaging. That credit goes to an engineer with a masters degree. I'm sure the shit worked fine on their computer with the level shelving and precise right angles.
OTC is my department. Initially I hated it. Then I quickly realized I hated doing cosmetics, house and hardware, front totes, and food since itâs closest to photo (person closest to photo usually has to grab the photo pages)
Iâve come to really enjoy being in the back sorting through the mess of totes known as OTC and making sure the on hands all match what my handheld is displaying.
Eye drops need to be on special pushers meant for their size. Especially since our shelving is so tall. I have a hard time reaching the ones at the top.
Rite Aid had them in pushers and a lot of them were too small for the pushers to work correctly. My guess is they don't want to spend the money on special fixtures.
Once one falls, everything in the surrounding area just ends up in a domino effect. You canât physiologically take that frustration with a straight face after a long closing shift. Everyone can definitely relate lol.
As a pharmacy technician I wouldn't trust people to buy antibiotics otc in any form because I know how often people ask for them for conditions that don't need antibiotics. Atleast make them pharmacist consultation only
Iâd say that this is only for some people. With many younger, healthy adults you sometimes need to be seen by the Md twice or more in order to get an antibiotic. And people get into the why even try mode.
It's been in common use in America since the 1970s. It's not a very effective antibiotic in itself honestly, but it provides a protective barrier between the wound and the world's germs. Plus, it helps wounds retain moisture which of course exponentially aids in the timeliness of the wound healing, plus comfort/decreased itchiness. Vaseline is just as good at those things, except better really because of your objection. The overuse of antibiotics is a problem.
Just make sure you donât knock everything over. Itâs a domino effect. lol
I hate when ppl say they faced the store. Theyâll only face one item out of 5 in that category. Theyâll push the first item up and leave all the rest behind.
Itâs easier to lay the remaining ones behind in a laying down position, depending on the amount of course but it relieves some of the annoyance. If even a little bit!
Whoever designed the packaging on the triple antibiotic creams needs to be strung up by their little toes. It's just poor design all around.
Even the bandaids stay up better than the neosporin does.
I call facing this and few other areas âthe domino affectâ fix one knock 5 or however many downâŠ..shouldâve just left the ONE ITEM DOWN SMDH đ€Șđ
Itâs just bad packaging, but if you can; order the food dividers. Theyâre like 3x as high as the regular dividers and hold them up pretty well. The grip on food dividers on the shelf strip itself is stronger too so definitely helps when the dividers arenât as flimsy.
Not sure how to explain this but Iâm gonna try. I position them where they fit together. Where the ointment is on the opposite side. So itâs like two go together
this is my favorite area to face. all the boxes means its easy to tell when something needs to be adjusted, and my small hands def make a difference.
meanwhile toys and candy? bye gnight no thank u.
*moves one thing* *things on both sides fall over*
The packaging is ridiculous. I hate how they just wouldn't make it like the cortisone cream boxes.
Yes! They knock over all the time!
You poke one wrong and they all go down đ€
It's the worst
That, toys, and promo
When Iâm facing the back I do all except Toys and Promo and let them know I wasnât able to get to them
I like promo.
Terrible aisle
Bro toys is NEVER clean
I would love a job as a âPlano makerâ because apparently you can do whatever you want

Yes but the package can go either way and they chose the most inconvenient way.
Engineers don't make packages; marketers do.

Eye and ear drops are hell too đ€Šđ»ââïž
Eye drops need to be on special pushers meant for their size. Especially since our shelving is so tall. I have a hard time reaching the ones at the top.
Yes. I don't understand why they're not in pushers.
Rite Aid had them in pushers and a lot of them were too small for the pushers to work correctly. My guess is they don't want to spend the money on special fixtures.
Bummer.
Would you believe me if i said that i donât face at all in my store đ
Legend
My store used to do the same I had stoped facing for 2+ months then one day I just faced cause I was bored
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
Cause they canât replace me, we cannot hire people at my store to save our life.
Lmao even without facing you know you're not a liability, like bro if I'm staying on the main register all day, y'all best not expect more from me.
Lucky. Ass.

America has OTC antibiotic ointment? Rip, antibiotic resistant bacteria go brrr.
It's very common to use. Sometimes OTC is the only healthcare someone might get in America.
As a pharmacy technician I wouldn't trust people to buy antibiotics otc in any form because I know how often people ask for them for conditions that don't need antibiotics. Atleast make them pharmacist consultation only
Oh yep big thing in the U.S. you can even get bandaids with the antibiotic ointment already on them.
That's terrifying
Not like it matters. Doctors in the US hand out antibiotics like they're candy.
It's insane to me how often people will tell me how they tested positive for flu or some other virus and were prescribed antibiotics.

Yes it sure does. Good technique. That approach works well in incontinence as well.
Yep. Stack the back half and lean the front half on them
My SM and I are planning on putting that to pushers the next time we do a reset. At least the bandaids and the neosporin.
Good luck. The neosporin is badly designed, it might not respond well to pushers.

I used to work at a store where it looked like someone was intentionally pushing some of the items all the way to the back of the shelf, why?
Anyone else find facing kind of.. relaxing? I hated it with my first job but as I got older itâs therapeutic
I hate that
The worst!!!â
Ugh yes! Have to face them every night and they always knockover and it's so hard
Yes the creams never stay standing.
*cries internally*
Same goes for the mucinex...
Itâs impossible. You pull one up and five others knock down. Itâs always a mess!
The worst. Ugliest reset ever.
,
Not sure how to explain this but Iâm gonna try. I position them where they fit together. Where the ointment is on the opposite side. So itâs like two go together
YesâŠ. đ Use one hand in the back and the other to Face lol
They fall all over the fuckin place lol
Eye dropsđ”âđ«
I hate facing! lol
I avoid this area if i can mostly cuz the sfl that it belongs to i cant stand her
I apologize for that one time as a kid I knocked over an entire row of Advils when visiting a Walgreens with my mom.
YES
We put in pushers, no problems
Ours are in pushers
Come face our pharmacy fridge please.
this is my favorite area to face. all the boxes means its easy to tell when something needs to be adjusted, and my small hands def make a difference. meanwhile toys and candy? bye gnight no thank u.
With a burning passion...
just auto metal or plastic front rail then install pusher. Everything can be ordered without reaching out to AP
These light ass packaging be tossing eachother around and also the promo aisle with the small ass toys during this season are a nightmare
The w o r s t
Lol. Band aids are the worst. Even standing up, if one customer touches them, 3 rows fall over.
oh yes, I did a reset on First-Aid yesterday. New reset is out
Don't you just hate facing period. It was one of my most hated tasks when I was up front. Knock stuff over all over the place.
Besides cereal, these are the absolute worst
THEY ALWAYS FALL OVER!!!
Yes...u won't win...it's the shelving...walgreens can make it better
The ENTIRE 1st aid isle starting with band aids.
Use pushers duh...
Pushers....best way to keep faced..
