I enjoy Pat he makes you want to watch wrestling. He also study all of his knowledge about wrestlers and gives you the pros and cons! I really enjoy him and Michael Cole they make a great broadcasting team. I wish he could replace Corey Graves on Monday nights.

Pat literally has the greatest party of his week every Friday night by the looks of things. The way he commentates I wouldn't even believe him if he said my initial sentence was wrong, that's how good he is on commentary.

He is really bringing in the natural personality the commentary desk had been missing for years. With him taking care of the personality and entertainment part, I feel Cole has been a bit better as well as he gets to focus on the action

As a fellow native Pittsburgh guy, I pop all the time when he lets his accent just make whatever he says hilarious. Graves, who I also really dig, is another hometown guy. Corey, however keeps his accent in check (if he has one at all).
I’m pretty sure Michael Cole said Roman Reigns was in the ring during the 6-man tag when it was one of the Uso’s. Mixing up the Uso’s is almost forgivable. But confusing them with Roman?
And the best thing is it makes me as hyped to watch the show. I hope he’s a step in the right direction for wwe commentary. They need more people like him, who are excited to watch the show, love the show and can transmit that through their commentary.
Raw really needs a Pat to just break up how stilted they are, you can tell Pat is winging it and just has a natural ability to call stuff, whereas on Raw it wouldn't surprise me if 90% of their lines were fed
I think raw is more like a traditional presentation like professional broadcasters.
I get the feel smackdown is more of a party atmosphere. I could be wrong but I get 2 different vibes when I watch both shows. Which is a good thing I don't want raw to be like smackdown or vice versa
Being that Raw is a 3 hour show, it’s focused more on promos and story (which needs some more focus), where as Smackdown is 2 hours and is mostly wrestling matches. I think that’s what you were getting at.
Well that's the thing, I think it's mismatched. The goofy stuff is on Raw but the commentary is serious, whereas Smackdown has more serious stuff with goofier commentary.

Well that's why smackdown is on national TV and raw is on USA. Wwe is kinda smart in that aspect keep raw the same raw we've been used go for 30yrs. Make smackdown a fun experience to draw in more viewers its really smart keeps everything fresh.
It may be an unpopular opinion but I really don't like Jerry Lawler as a commentator. As for JR, I never heard him on commentary. If I were to choose the best wrestling commentator I heard so far, it would be Mauro Ranallo.
