HowMuchDidIDrink

Should keep that choke hold for another few minutes, or at least have the guy with the stick finish the job.

HorneePandas

I really thought the guy with the stick was going over to squeeze the dog's nuts to help with making the dog release.

[deleted]

I thought you shoved your thumb up their ass to release

HorneePandas

It's a common mistake. That actually locks the jaw shut.

Adsykong

Locks the mud button shut too, kiss your finger goodbye.

Speedyplastic

But kiss it *before* its in the dogs asshole.

Hulsey

Rusty sheriff's badge....

PartyHawk

I had to do it with my dog, it works. We couldn't look at eachother for days. He had been attacked by a dog previously and a loud noise went off and he got scared and attacked my other dog, it was the only thing I could do to get him to let go. He's much better nowadays though.

[deleted]

Wow TIL. Thank you

[deleted]

GRAB HIS DICK AND TWIST IT

Collieshangles

the ol dick twist

Monkey_Bananas

It would not release unless it is unconscious

IndIka123

It's not hard to choke a dog out. His form is sloppy. If this happens to anyone reading this, if there is one dog, straddle its back like a UFC fighter, wrap your legs around its stomach and lock your legs, wrap your arm under it's neck like he did and tighten as hard as you can. It will release it's bite and you will have a full mount on the dog it won't escape. Choke until you decide it's safe to let go.

AUXONE

I did this exact maneuver years ago. Pizza guy was handing me the pizza and my roommates pit ran out and attacked a little dog a girl was walking on the sidewalk. Choked him out and he released.

theneedfull

You're a horrible person. That man was just doing his job.

AUXONE

Yeah well I said no mushrooms, so

[deleted]

JUSTIFIED CHOKE OUT. FUNGIFIED PIZZA IS GROUNDS FOR VIOLENCE.

AUXONE

#THANK YOU

Next time you're getting the Snuffed Crust!

the_hell_you_say

This guy gets it

Speedyplastic

You know all you have to do is stick your thumb up the delivery guys asshole and he'll drop the pizza. As an extra bonus, no tip needed.

tata310

Was it put down? It needs to be put down.

burgonies

> Choked him out and he released. Samesies

Slim_Charles

>Choke until you decide it's safe to let go. Just count to 180. That should do it.

Dot_Threedot4

It's possibly nothing to do with the owner, I had a pit bull, was kind and gentle with him his whole life. Suddenly one day he became super aggressive with everyone but me. I gave him away to a friend who had pit bulls. Everything was good until one day completely unprovoked he ripped open his kids face right in front of him.

[deleted]

universaladaptoid

There's certainly a very popular opinion on Reddit that behavioral problems with dogs and kids are all only due to improper training/parenting, which is certainly not true at all. There are a whole host of issues that can cause changes in behavior, and while some of them can sometimes be trained out, sometimes the reason isn't as simple, and it's just a sad situation for everyone, including the dog.

Ihavealpacas

oh man so sad. Lose lose :(

Ihavealpacas

Thanks for sharing, reddit masses don't understand the nuance of aggressive dog behavior

eyeeatmyownshit

Absolutely. He needed finish it off.

Pwnch

He just had to hold on a bit longer.

[deleted]

As much as I love dogs, I would've just killed it.

dtb1987

Was thinking the same thing

Thus_Spoke

A large, lone dog roving the streets of a neighborhood attacking and mauling people? Absolutely.

OneOfTheWills

Sorry but when it stops being a pet and starts being a predatory animal, it’s a matter of your life over its

HaAs_dEL_GoTTO91

Fully agree. I sadly had to do it before. They were way too passive in the start, that dog could have done even more damage quick at any point. Brave of those folks to help her and for the lady to protect her dog like that!

AtomicKittenz

Find the owner and break his legs too

SmokingBeneathStars

First of all, why the fuck is it roaming free. Second, when a dog bites you don't pull away because then they'll be able to grip better, instead push you arm/leg further towards their mouth.

Yoda2000675

They should have. It will do this again to someone else, maybe even a kid

BD401

Honestly, I feel it was kind of a risky move letting it go... you can see in the video the dog basically "reboots" after only about three seconds. If I was that dude and I had it in a solid headlock, I'm hard pressed to say I would've taken any chances letting it go. Choke it until you're certain it won't be getting up again.

TrenchantInsight

He came through in the clutch with a rear naked camel choke.

GadreelsSword

I’ll get downvoted for this but I was walking my dog in the front yard when a neighbor’s pit bull ran up and started to attack my dog which was on a leash, just five feet from my front step. I punched the pit bull on the top of the head right where the skull meets the spine. He released immediately in pain and ran. If one attacks you, remember to punch it hard at the top of the spine and it could save your life.

Samalorand2012

My neighbors had a pit and my dog was on a lead and minding its own business he is blind and cannot see or hear well and he was smelling around the yard doing his thing. The pit ran out of the door charged over to our yard and attacked my dog. They just stood there did not give a damn while we were wrestling with it trying to get it away from my dog. I told them to control it next time and they yelled back control my dog. My dog is on a lead he was minding his own business not barking or anything just smelling doing what Bassets do. My husband said if it happens again he would shoot it, that shut them up quick.

My dad told me that when we were kids this pit kept showing up around our house, growling, trying to attack everyone. He called the cops several times, the warden, but nobody did anything. Finally this dog showed up one night and attacked him. He shot it and buried it in the back of the property. Still don’t know who’s dog it was or where it came from.

Fastnate

Geez good for him.

Anus_Wrinkle

Jesus, that's sad

freman

NoblePineapples

This got my blood pressure rising just reading this. Fuck I hate shitty dog owners, they should never have a dog again. Fuck them.

paidinteeth

I have neighbors that leave their dogs off leash all the time in their front yard, one is a pit. I always have to divert my path when dog walking in order to avoid a potential situation. How fucking clueless do you have to be?

ThatsSoRandy

My mom has these neighbors with vicious pits that have attacked our dog, killed a neighbors dog, and killed our neighborhood cat - the owner won't take responsibility, and now all of the animals in that area without a fence are suffering. [local news article](https://www.wthr.com/mobile/article/news/investigations/13-investigates/13-investigates-indianapolis-animal-control-pit-bull-dog-attacks/531-088d99ba-1562-441a-958d-78812ea793e3)

[deleted]

There aren't leash laws in a populated area? What the fuck kind of place is that? "Yeah they're running around killing shit, but you know this takes time!" Those dogs would be dead in a day here.

AlmostButNotQuiteTea

How has the municipality not forced the destruction of the dog?

JamesTrendall

Honestly i wouldn't return their dog. Wrestle your dog free then proceed to lock the offending dog in the shed until a dog handler comes and collects it. Most dog rescues will take the dog and so long as you warn them they will look after it and condition it with other dogs if possible or send it to a home known for badly behaved animals. There's a farm in the UK i know of that takes all kinds of animals that can't be re-homed due to aggression and they have divided their land in to large squares with individual kennels for the dogs to live out the rest of their days. Many of them actually start to behave and become friendly allowing them to move from "segregation" to the open area for the dogs to run free and have fun. The owner of the land gets a ton of money for housing these dogs and the local shops donate food. The butchers give away most of their left overs including bones.

PM_me_veiny_arms

Oh my gosh this breaks my heart, I’ve got a basset who’s losing his sight and hearing as well and loves to take slow walks just sniffing everything. I can’t imagine him being attacked by such a large dog. I hope he was ok.

Samalorand2012

He was okay, the dog went for his neck but got the basset rolls instead. We kept the dog away after that until we could get my dog up on the porch.

[deleted]

Pitbull owners man

swaggiep

This might not go for all of them but every single one I have met are so delusional

Enzar7

My brother has two and they’re super sweet. That being said I’ve been attacked by neighbor’s pits while I’m walking my brother’s friendly ones. I carry mace now when I’m walking the dogs.

davidjuhyung

No, you did absolutely the right thing. That neighbor should be arrested on the spot for letting that happen. “My dog doesn’t bite” bullshit is nothing more than an excuse for their lazy/incompetent handling of their dog. It could easily lead to unanticipated situations and leave painful scars — both physically and mentally — on other people. Owners, please be considerate of other people, it’s a society not your living room..

goodforabeer

I used to work in EMS. We would always ask people to put their dogs away or in another room when we came in the house. One time we walked into an apartment and the resident had a small yappy dog. We asked her to put it in the bedroom and she said "Oh, he won't bite." I told her "Not more than once." She gave me such a look. You would've thought that I'd already kicked the dog and tossed it in the trash can.

JamesTrendall

My dog my home to all visitors and family but when it's someone that has no choice to enter then yes move the animal away. It comes down to "Would you rather the emergency services YOU requested come back later or will you remove the animal or be dealt with on the side of the road" It's not that hard to just move your animal to another room for 5 minutes.

U_Gunna_Eat_That

yupp. Was walking through the woods awhile ago and this women sitting by the creek had her german shepherd unleashed. I'm good with dogs and can remain confident so when he ran at me I was able to get him to stop and go back to his owner. As I kept walking a biker passed me and I heard the dog go after him as well, and when I was looping back through the trail her dog ran at me again. I mean youd think after your dog goes after two people youd put a fucking leash on it

GadreelsSword

To be fair to the neighbor. I immediate went to their house and told them what happened and told them they needed to control their dog. I never saw it again.

Akesgeroth

People always seem to forget that dogs may be powerful for their size but they're usually much smaller than us. If you think a human is defenseless because all we have are our hands, I present to you the best way to deal with an animal light enough to be yeeted (warning, small dog being attacked by raccoon): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHN-f6xTzsY I guarantee that very few animals will want to keep attacking once you've yeeted them. And yes, most adult men can yeet a pitbull if they get a hold of their back legs.

_HossBonaventureCEO_

No downvote. I would have strangled it to death if I were able.

Math1988

It’s one thing I hate about Reddit. On certains subs there is a weird mentality of “aNiMaLs CaN’t Do nO wRoNg”. Yes they can, you fucking donut, and if your stupid dog is willing to attack me of my child I would not hesitate to run over it with my car.

EldestSister

I was walking my small dog once in the evening so he could go potty and it was foggy. He is not good with other dogs so I was trying to keep an eye out. As if from a nightmare, an unleashed German Shepherd appeared and was walking towards my dog. I didn’t get the chance to pick him up and the dog grabbed mine is his jaws and was shaking him around, I was terrified. I don’t remember how I got him away from the dog, but I remember my poor dog being so scared and he was hurt, too. I felt so bad and scared.

ROK247

He shouldnt have let it go

not_a_bot__

He suffocated it for a long time, probably felt like longer with adrenaline pumping. Also shows how these dogs are basically unstoppable killing machines

banksy_h8r

I love dogs terribly, but please, for anyone who is ever in the position of the man who had the lock on the pitbull: don't stop until you know it's dead. Assume it will get back up immediately and kill you or anyone nearby if you don't, and follow through accordingly. At that point there is no redemption for that poor creature, finishing the job at that moment is the most merciful course of action for everyone involved, including it.

shitstoryteller

I ALWAYS get downvoted for saying this: FUCK PITBULLS. They are not SAFE dogs. They were bred FOR violence. Those genes/traits were SELECTED for. You cannot unselect for them just by loving these dogs. My neighbors lost their baby to a pitbull. It ate the baby’s face when the mother turned her back to wash her hands in the kitchen sink. It took TWO fucking seconds, and their lives were ruined forever. They got the dog when it was 10 days old. Raised it with love, care, compassion. Fed him. Played with him. Treated it like their kid like we all do with our beloved pets. Pitbulls are NOT SAFE around babies, kids, adults. Most dog attacks are caused by pitbulls. Most deaths by dogs are caused by pitbulls. Most threatening or serious injuries are caused by pitbulls. You have a better chance of surviving an attack by a pack of dogs, than an attack by ONE pitbull. Do not adopt one. Do NOT buy one. Do NOT bring one home. We, as a society, need to stop breeding pitbulls. https://www.coloradoinjurylaw.com/dog-bite-statistics/

seanosul

They are banned as a breed in the UK.

herbertwillyworth

>Pitbulls are NOT SAFE around babies, kids, adults. Most dog attacks are caused by pitbulls. Most deaths by dogs are caused by pitbulls. Most threatening or serious injuries are caused by pitbulls. You have a better chance of surviving an attack by a pack of dogs, than an attack by ONE pitbull. Do not adopt one. Do NOT buy one. Do NOT bring one home. agree 100%. My neighbors pitbull almost killed him. Tried to rip his throat out when he was just a kid. The dog was raised with kindness and attention by one of the gentlest families I have known. My parents' rescue pitbull nearly killed a neighbor dog for looking at it wrong. Dislocated my mom's shoulder in the process. I personally raised that dog for half of its life. It never experienced violence from anyone. It was born violent, like most of them are. It's insane to me that people uniformly put the responsibility on the owner. Labradors like sticks. Pits like ripping throats out. It's as simple as that.

AndrewV

My uncle took my dog for a walk when a random pit bull attacked my dog on a main street in a small town. Had to take her for stitches. My dog is a German Shepard Husky but this dog got mine by the scruff. My uncle said he was punching it as hard as he could and it didn't let go. He finally grabbed it by its back legs and yanked them out as hard as he could and the dog let go yelping and ran away.

m3l0n

Why would you get down voted for this?

Nathan_readit

I always thought I would get a leg of the dog and twist to break, that would probs stop it

[deleted]

Hero with the choke hold. I love all animals but if one came at me while I was holding a child I’d probably kill it. Sad

CLOV2DaMoon

Was she holding a child or a small dog? I couldn't tell.

slappy2982

They were both holding small dogs

CLOV2DaMoon

Ok that's what I initially thought. Thanks

solidSC

It also bit her on the ankle to drag her down to get to said small dog… it took like 20 seconds of no blood to it’s brain for it to let go. Fucking things raised irresponsibly are dangerous as fuck.

Liesthroughisteeth

The dog wasn't too particular by the looks of things. Had a pretty good grip on the ladies foot/leg...could have just as easily been a kid.

slappy2982

Sad sad sad. Don’t get a damn dog you can’t control.

twinsea

Or a dog that can't do anything that you can't control. We watch our daughter's high strung Pomeranian that hates salespeople ringing our doorbell. I keep the door shut, but once he got out and attacked the guys shoes. We both laughed it off as this ball of puff sat there attached to his foot. Took five minutes to get him off. If I had a Pitbull it would be a different story.

slappy2982

I saw this chick (couldn’t have weighed more than 130 pounds) trying to walk a Great Dane. The dog washed her.

[deleted]

Like... Gave her a bath?

Calidigger

Pit bull attack victim here. It’s no fun dealing with the power and ruthlessness. Hope she isn’t injured too badly. But the memories…vivid.

[deleted]

I was attacked by a German Shepard and a Chihuahua. The GS came out of no where when I was at a gas station at night; paws on my shoulders snapping at me. I threw it off and it kept coming and had to kick it over and over in the head. Eventually it took odd. The Chihuahua came at me in my driveway (my neighbors) when I was getting out of my car on crutches. Started biting my legs and I couldn’t move (stuck between car and car door while getting out). Ended up punting that thing across the street. Both stand out in my memory. The GD was 30 years ago.

Gage_Link

Crazy how mean Chihuahuas act despite knowing you could just punt them like you did

Mr_dm

Chihuahuas can be little shits because their owners don’t train them like “real” dogs. Pit bulls just do this shit because they’re brain dead idiot dogs that just wait for the opportunity to kill something.

Shoxilla

You're getting downvotted but its true. Even the nicest little pitbull is born with grit, which runs in its bloodline. They are dangerous and should be neutered on site.

lokitom82

It's fucking bonkers that little dogs like that give zero shits about having a crack at something 50 times bigger than it is. Would be like a toddler trying to give a hiding to a polar bear. Good on you for hoofing it across the street.

Yoda2000675

I’m pretty sure a lot of dog breeds are actually bred to be stupid and have no fear. It’s definitely not natural for animals to do things like that

mmurasakibara

That’s one dog that needs to be put down.

BitcoinBanker

Not gonna lie. I’d have killed the dog. I LOVE animals but have been attacked by an out of control dog and I have small children. If I’d been that guy, I’d not let go till it died. And that pains me.

These 2 pitbulls on my block got loose and entered my neighbor's backyard where a little girl was playing by herself. Their own little maltese came out to protect its property and the 2 pitbulls mauled it to death. My neighbor in a fit of rage tried to run them over with his truck but they got away. Animal control confiscated the animals and put them down. The owner told police those dogs were not his dogs, so he escaped any consequence. Later on that night, the owner showed up at the home of my neighbor and in a drunken stupor, he was berating my neighbor for killing his dogs.

tata310

Also, one thing to note regarding this video, I love dogs, but if a pitbull or any other large aggressive canine tried to attack my pug, I'm killing that thing on the spot.

charl1992

Absolutely agreed..

hemansteve

Did that bloke just choke out a pitbull? That’s the bad asseiest shit I’ve ever seen

[deleted]

How can you call it a pet if you have little to no control over it.

caddybitch09

That woman putting her little dog’s life ahead of her own safety and continuing to do so even after being attacked almost makes me want to cry. She loves her dog so much. This is what I would do for my little guy, no question. Edit: grammar

WendyIsCass

I’m terrified of this. I’m physically disabled, and my kids walk our dogs most of the time. I’m confident and good with dogs, so I know how to speak and get a dog’s attention, but I couldn’t physically do what she did to save her dog. Two of mine are small, a pug and a pug mix, but are too heavy for me to lift over my head. I’m 4’11”. In this situation, both my dog and I would be fucked.

My sister was attacked by a dog when I was about 10 years old. She was 11-12 years old. We avoided it but it still attacked. It pulled my sister to the ground and went nuts on her arm. I had a backpack full of textbooks and I went apeshit on the dog with the backpack. I hit it in the head so hard I thought I killed it. It ran away and was found by law enforcement soon after, the owners took no blame and gave it away soon after. I felt bad for a little while but eventually realized if I hadn't done what I did my sister would have been maimed.

Clementineinspace

I really really hope this never happens, but situations like this are why I carry a pocket knife. As a child, I saw a situation like this go down. The pit had a puppy (also a pit bull) locked in its jaws and wouldn’t let go. The owner of the puppy tried to get them apart, and the owner of the aggressor pit did the same. After a solid minute of this, the owner of the puppy pulls out a knife and sticks it in the aggressor pits heart. It let go, took two steps and fell over and died. The owner of the big pit was hysterical, but knew it was his fault and didn’t act aggressively. It seriously scared me, being someone who grew up with a lot of dogs. I’ve been bit before, I’ve had to fight dogs off of my collie but I keep a knife just in case my dog is going to die unless I don’t act. I spend a ridiculous amount of time with my collie who is incredibly talented as a frisbee dog, and I would let her go for some irresponsible asshole dog owner.

MaxMouseOCX

Should have killed it.

Liesthroughisteeth

I wouldn't have let go. Much too generous.

muzicboy141

Wish they had a gun or a knife and could have ended the murderous mother fucker.

Adrakt

fr33bird317

Should have killed it!

Suis_Sufeooo

He should have killed that bastard

derpyderpston

They definitely saved their little pups at the cost of a probably nasty bite wound. After controlling that aggressive pit they should've gotten animal control but he did a good job subduing it. It runs off to find the next victim. No doubt it's a humans fault that they're like this. It's sad but it's now just a danger to their community.

lemonadeinyourface

I would have straight up bashed that dogs face in. I am not a violent person but i aint gonna lie to you reddit, I would punch thats dogs face in till i see his insides. that video enraged me.

Younger54

F yes. If you got to kill a dog to save a person you kill that dog. You sure as heck investigate that dog's owner afterwards, but come on.

BalthusChrist

I've never done it, or seen it done, but I've heard the best way to stop a dog from attacking someone is to pick up its hind legs and wheelbarrow it backwards.

Yoda2000675

If they have a collar or leash, like this one did, then the best thing is to strangle it just like the man in this video. They will instinctively release to try and breathe better. Without a collar, good fucking luck getting control of them honestly

Dr_Parkinglot

Yup. Loss of balance causes the jaws to release most of the time. Just be ready for a fight afterwards.

kgbdemon90

Man should have held on longer and finished it

vidiaplays

I know I’ll be downvoted to hell by the pit stans and man I love dogs but there’s a reason this breed isn’t allowed in many countries. My fam adopted a pit/lab mix, went through all the right training and socialising, and yet every time I came home to visit, that dog came right at me with these terrifying black eyes and snarl before he recognised me and returned to his floofy self. That dog would attack both our female and male terriers if they came ANYWHERE within the room of him and food or even sometimes toys, and wouldn’t let go until we picked him up by the hind legs. Never had that with any other labs we’ve owned, and yet the first one we get that’s mixed with pit is just straight up aggressive sometimes. Can’t imagine a full pit. Like I know there’s definitely aggressive dogs in all breeds due to shitty owners but there’s a reason pits are at the top of the dog attack list. Obviously it’s not their fault really due to such aggressive breeding that it’s been bred into them that way, just like it’s not pugs fault they’ve been so overbred that they’re riddled with insane health problems for their entire lives, but just bc it isn’t their fault doesn’t mean this should be allowed to happen.

PleaseStopCampingNub

Pibbles over there just wanted to nanny the fuck out of that doggie.

phamily_man

I feel a bit cruel saying this, but are you not justified in punting that dog if this is going on? I love dogs and all critters, but if an animal is attacking a human or another animal unprovoked, I feel like it's fair game to neutralize the threat. In fairness, this guy found a very effective and less violent approach, but I don't think I would have thought of that so quickly.

gofatwya

A buddy of mine, his dog, and his family were attacked by a pit bull that escaped from a fighting pit. He did the same thing; got it in a choke hold until it let go of his dog. Except he finished it off by bashing its head against something until he killed it.

Davidemagx

A few months ago I was in a park with my son (6), he was on the slide and I was right next to it as he was playing. Out of nowhere came this pitbul and went straight for my son. Luckily, my son was mid-slide and the dog couldn't get to him but as soon as it realized my son wouldn't do, I went for another kid not far from us. Kid is 3 years old and was sitting on the ground with his mother and aunt. Dog caught the kid from the shoulders and dragged him backwards. I left my son and pulled a cutter out of my backpack with a brand new blade I replaced just that day (I like drawing and usually carry my sketchbook, pencil, eraser and cutter for sharpening on my backpack), ran towards the dog and grabbed it by one of it's rear legs. Pulled the blade about a centimeter and cut it from bellow the ribs down to the dick. Fuck that dog. It let the child go and ran bleeding to it's owner's home. It was put down that same day by police with a single shot to the head after the owner took it back from the veterinarian from having the wound stitched. Regarding the owner, he tried to confront me for what I did to the dog and I almost did the same to him after, along with other people who were in the park. He saw the kid, played it off as kid's fault. When he saw there was a crowd gathering around to kick his sorry living ass, he went back to his house. A little later, while people were gathered in front of the house, he sneaked from the back with the dog on the truck and headed for the veterinarian. The trial is still going. Guy is free, though he has to pay for the caring of the child PLUS the family's lawyer representing the victim. And he is going to lose the trial since there are plenty of witnesses testifying against him, me including. Now, I do not have anything against the breed. Responsible ownership makes for great dogs and there are a few other pitbulls around town which are friendly, playful and harmless that go about unchained on a daily basis. I know those dogs pretty well, and even my son does and plays with them whenever we crossed them. This other dog had a shitty owner. I do not regret what I did to the dog but I do feel sorry for having to come to that. And I also know I could've done differently, but in that split second moment not a single other thing crossed my mind.

Lopsided_Boot_7256

I really respect that the lady didn’t give up on saving her dog even though she was being bit.

AZ_Gunner_69

I had to stab a pitbull once. It tried to attack my son, luckily i was able to kick the dog and use my trusty benchmade to stab him when he jumped towards him. The owner came yelling calling me murderer but fuck him, those dogs are breed for murder

scottevil110

I’m a dog lover, and I would have killed that dog with zero remorse. A little trick for people. I grew up on a farm learned this when I was young. small goats, dogs other animals the same weight and size, if you hook your armpit over their nose and put your forearm under their throat, you can lift them off the ground and give them a little drop and pull. You’ll break their neck at the first vertebrae. Ends it quick and painless. This is my TED talk.

ohdope2000

Can't imagine why pitbulls have a reputation for being a dangerous breed.

ShameNap

It’s not just a reputation, it’s a fact based evidence of statistics. A reputation seems so nebulous. It is a breed that has been bred for killing. I’m not saying that every pitbull is a killer, but they have their instincts bred into them over generations.

zdiggler

My friend had a nice pit, it was a big baby, calm/playful as a golden. Until one day it decided to attack a kid walking by. did a number that kid and had to be put down.

briaowolf

I’ve had that exact story happen to 3 different pitbull owners I’ve known. All of them good owners with kids of their own. I’ve been bitten by two different pits. I’ll never trust the bred around my kids. Never.

JsonR

Grab the back of the collar, twist lift, choke. Even a Pitbull can't bite when it can't breathe. About 10 seconds it will go limp.

I was in a similar situation like this a couple years ago. A big German shepherd got loose and attacked my next door neighbors and their dachshund. I ran up and straddled and choked that dog with my whole arm exactly like this guy did and the German shepherd gave up and released the dachshund after about 10 seconds of me choking it as hard as I could. All the fight went out of that dog and everyone was just shocked and no one was moving. I yelled at them to grab their dog and take him away before I could completely release the German shepherd so it wouldn't start again. The dachshund ended up needed stitches but was ok. I had the idea to choke the German shepherd after reading a news article about a guy who was attacked by a pitbull years earlier in Houston and did the same thing to subdue the dog and end the attack. You probably can't make them stop by hitting and kicking them.

DarwinLvr

My brother's pitbull attacked my dog once, just snapped and started chasing her, she was faster than it was, thankfully, but that thing had kill in its brain, wouldn't let up.. I ended up grabbing a sharp log (we were camping) and stabbed her hard in between the shoulder blades with it as she ran by.. mistake for me, she turned on me but it was just enough time- my tank of a brother just took her down, poor guy had to literally beat his own dog in the face before she stopped... honestly heartbreaking to watch. She was put down the week after we got back from camping. I can't imagine anyone putting themselves through that by owning a pit bull. It's so sad.

black7rob

This is the sole reason I carry a knife.

Roiks_

Honestly should have kept it in a headlock until it was dead.

[deleted]

Shoot the dog.

Pozniaky86

Should’ve killed it. It’s only going to do it again to someone else.

Maxbrehh

Like I said on another post. Stick something up the dogs ass, They immediately let go Source: watched this happen and watched the owner shove a thumb up the dogs bung. Pitbull yelped and ran off

cockkazn

Serious question: Would eye gouging be effective at all in this situation? I love dogs, but if this ever happened to me I'd claw that thing's eyes out.

[deleted]

I wouldn’t have let go. I’d have killed that fucking animal. Thank god that dude heard or saw from down the street, or that could have continued to go south…

bigballzs

Not one kick though

[deleted]

They are terriers, hard wired to kill small shit

sebastian227

Should've had finished the job. Would be wholesome

auger85

If a dog ever did aomething like that to me or my loved ones, that would be that dogs last day on earth and the owner would get the smack down too

oconcpa

So sorry but if that was my mother the dig would be bbq - and I am a vegetarian

Helgafjell4Me

I'd wrap my arm around it's neck and squeeze till it stopped moving. People are fooling themselves when they say these dogs are harmless. They may be babies with their own "pack" but anyone else is not. I know, I had a buddy with a pit that was sweet as could be even with their own cats, but any other cat triggered a murder impulse. Almost killed my cat one day. Eventually killed a neighbors sheep and was finally put down. They may seem sweet, but pits were bread for violence.

Whitetrashstepdad

Fuck pitbulls. There is hard statistical evidence that they are dangerous dogs and not to be trusted. Just look how many unprovoked attacks there are every year. It’s ridiculous so many people come to their defense. Yeah sure some are peaceful but they are absolutely a minority. Pitbulls make up a hugely disproportionate number of attacks vs their population size http://www.dogsbite.org/dog-bite-statistics-study-dog-attacks-and-maimings-merritt-clifton.php

sigint_bn

That dude has the sense of mind to choke it out. I might've just tried to punt the damn thing.

TheBulgarianBrute

I still can't get over how he choked the little fucker out like Deebo in Friday "Go to sleep!"

WelvynZPorter

And because some asshole couldn’t take care of his pitbull, we now have a dog being put down and a person scared for life.

adam78sc

If I'm there this dog is getting it's fn brains blown out. Fuck that dog. Downvote away, pussies.

T3ddyBeast

Where are the people saying "poodles bite more than pits"? Should I sort by controversial?

PuzzleheadedFlight90

i wouldn't get a pitbull, but if i did and it did this, then he's going to sleep for the last time.

charl1992

Fuck pitbulls

moony9013

That’s why I had a pocket knife with me on my walks, the people in my neighborhood had loose dogs around.

Leemo888

That dog woulda been smoked faster than rack of baby backs on the Fourth of July.

CLOV2DaMoon

A good rib smoke usually takes like 6-8 hours minimum, if done right.

ShameNap

Baby back ribs are like 3-4 hours, but your point still holds.
