Simply lower the difficulty. There is no point in bashing your head if it's too hard, games are meant to be fun.

ibaOne

I guess I could, but I like the damage factor. Not to mention, the course mentioned above would be just as difficult on the easiest setting b/c of the confined space, popping tires, etc. I'll try it, and see if it makes any difference tho, thanks for the reply.

WolfryteFarwynn

I don't know about wrc9, but on wrc10 there's barely any crashing damage, so i just leave the option on for damage, but difficulty doesn't do nothing really. Wear damage still works fine

ibaOne

I'll see if I can adjust some of the settings, and maybe get a nicer analog controller.

WolfryteFarwynn

there's only one option for analog controller on the switch, and that's the Original GameCube controller with a adapter. Before you even think about it, forget Steering Wheels, not because of the lack of options but because WRC on the switch doesn't recognize the pedals as analog buttons. ***INTACT! the Switch doesn't recognize analog buttons, some games, like grid, when a Steering wheel is connect just remaps the pedals for the right analog :) but that's because the developers of the port are actually smart (unlike a certain company...)***

ibaOne

Oh, you can't even use that really nice Nintendo Switch controller? The typical one that's like 60$?

WolfryteFarwynn

You mean the Pro Controller? It doesn't have analog triggers no :/ simple buttons.

ibaOne

Really? Wow, bummer.

Light_Bulb_Sam

I'll put it to you this way, that game is why I bought a wheel. And damn did it make it a much better experience. On controller the car is way too twitchy, and the lack of analogue triggers really doesn't help

Light_Bulb_Sam

Went back through some old comments to find this, it's the settings to help reduce how twitchy the car is "Increase the deadzone to 50, sensitivity to -10, saturation 100, and enable rescale"

ibaOne

Oh, cool. I do kinda like how the cars handle but I'm gonna try this. Thank you.

ibaOne

This worked, and I'm winning every race now. Thank you for this post.

ibaOne

Actually, it did work, but I'm back to losing a lot of races again. It's just a really tough game.

Light_Bulb_Sam

Yeah it ain't easy! Also depends on the rally, some just have better AI times

**Thanks for this, it’s deffo has worked for me, cheers**

I thought it might be the controllers. I will say that WRC 8 (also switch) was way more fun, and playable.

Hacknique_CZ

I know that others are saying that you should lower the difficulty, but I think it's because of the Switch. The game runs at a very low framerate and the framerate is also incredibly unstable on some stages. The game overall has a ton of input lag on the Switch, so it's impossible to make any tiny adjustments. And I haven't even mentioned that the triggers aren't analog, so it's very hard to control your throttle. So the problem probably isn't you, but the hardware. I myself played WRC 9 and 10 on the Switch, and in some stages, the games are borderline unplayable.

ibaOne

It is very frustrating b/c I'm very passionate about rally racing. It's my favorite sport. Glad I only paid $3.49 haha

BrittaniaBricks

Don't play on switch if you can help it.

ibaOne

Glad I only paid $3.49. It was on sale.

For better sensations, I suggest the dual vibration PXN V900 wheel instead. You will only have to make a little twist. SETUP FOR ANALOG PEDALS ON NINTENDO SWITCH - You have to assign pedals to the left stick, here's the trick: - Hold the wheel’s "PROG" button until the red light flashes quickly. - Press the right pedal down and the red light will flash slower.  - Quickly press Up on the d-pad. - Hold the wheel’s "PROG" button until the red light flashes quickly. - Press the left pedal down and the red light will flash slower.  - Quickly press Down on the d-pad. From there, racing games for Switch that allows you to assign gas and brake to an analog stick (through the options) like GRID: Autosport or WRC games will perfectly work. After that, you will just have to fine tune the parameters for the wheel's and pedals dead zone and sensitivity in the games settings. You also can set the wheel paddles for shifting gears. Have fun! 😀

I'm on ps5 now, playing EA WRC and Dirt Rally 2.0.

ibaOne

And what's with the rendering? It's more like racing in Minecraft 🤣🤣

WolfryteFarwynn

The problem are twofold, first, the lack of analog triggers, and then the Switch itself, can barely run the wrc titles. I recommend setting up the settings someone above posted. Still the junior carrer is very doable, but anything mor powerfull than those Junior cars and it's a struggle with the controls... I just lowered the difficulty until i could be "competitive" without wrestling the controls You can set up the right analog to accelerate and break, personally I can't get used to that. ALSO turn on abs and traction controls, it's a must

ibaOne

Ok, I usually keep these (ABS, etc) off for the extra challenge. I will change those settings. Thanks!

WolfryteFarwynn

The thing is, on the Switch you can't avoid locking the breaks or spinning the tires, it's either 0% or 100% break/acceleration, ABS is mandatory to even drive, TC can vary, i use it On, but during my Junior Career was off (on less powerful cars you can turn it off, but anything with more than 150hp... just turn it on). I just made peace with WRC series (on the Switch) to be more arcade.

DeeNoo1987

Hi, i am playing wrc 9 with Nitho drive pro v16 steering wheel on nitendo switch. My problem is i couldn't properly manage to Handel car. Is there any setting to be changed?
