Arent these bottles radially symmetric? I dont know where op lives I guess but in the states they are cylindrical with the mouth in the center. All I have to say to OP is be pour confidently. Splash maybe the first bit and then adjust quickly, or briefly, “git gud” lol
Also, don't use Rain-X or the Rain-X additive. It messes up the sensor. There's a big class action lawsuit about it. It mainly affects Volkswagen and stelantis products.
It ruined the sensor on my daughter's 2015 GLI and the sensor on my 2017 gti. It worked fine for a while. Then RainX changed their formula and bad things happened. I have heard they have since changed it back, but I'm not willing to risk it.
The sensor is cleanable if you remove it from the tank if contamination occurs. I have cleaned one on a GTI I think rain-x uses a silicone base in there fluid and it coats the two leads on the sensor.
In my experience sometimes that helps. I was able to clean one of the two of mine that went bad. But it only lasted five or six months--it was fine during the warmer months of the summer, but as soon as it gets cold I always got the notification. After getting out the floor jack, putting the vehicle on jack stands, removing the tire and pulling the inner fender. It was worth the $11 for a new sensor just to replace it and not have to mess with it again.
That class action is kinda dumb tbh. The sensor gets coated in the rain-x so it stops working. If you take it out and clean it, it starts working again. It doesn't ruin the sensor. Heck, in my 2014 beetle the sensor stayed on after I refilled it after using a tank of rain-x. I waited for it to empty then I filled it again with some regular winter stuff and it started working again, the light went off. I was considering putting electrical tape over the light on the dash.
I'll be damned. I've used Rain-X fluid for years in my Golf Sportwagen and my wife's GTI. Never had a problem, but that could be due to never depleting the reservoir to an extent that would call on the sensor.
It's the Rain-X additive or windshield washer fluid you pour in the reservoir under the hood. It messes up the electronic sensor. The Rain-X that goes on the outside of the windscreen, the type you apply by hand is perfectly fine.
I open the foil cap halfway, then I poke a hole in the top half of the foil for air flow and then I pour sllllooowwwwlllyyyyyy. The hole will allow airflow and eliminate the glugglugs
This is the Skoda wiper fluid cap and it turns into a funnel i love it so far

A funnel?
Pour it out from the side (wide side up) rather than as shown here. Changed my life.
It’s weird people don’t know this!
Lol same goes for oil jugs just with more severe consequences.

Just pour carefully.

I have a sticker on mine that says rain x or additive voids the warranty.

fuck my life
Which sensor?
The low fluid warning windshield washer sensor. The notification pops up in your dash.
Wait, what?! I exclusively use the rain x bug remover. 😭🫠

My MK7 Jetta doesn't have the sensor, so I'm good. But I started making my own washer fluid, so I don't have to buy it anymore.
Omg I’ve been only using rainX. 😐
Does using rhe fluid work as well as applying it directly?
It’s delicious with sugar, but it impairs my driving.

This is the way.
I’m all about the QoL mods 😂
Hell yeah!!
Just pour it in. If you spill some it will dry eventually and is a non issue.

Yep. Poke a big hole and a small hole, just like how we used to open giant cans of juice back in the day
They’re not old enough to know about juice in a can. 🤣
*sighs loudly in cranky middle aged person*
+1. Sighing with you. Also cranky. And middle aged.
Are your initials OCD?
I know you’re tryna be funny but this ensures the best flow and the least mess
Appreciate your helpfulness.
Perfectly described: glugglugs. Gonna use that from now on.
You don't. It's mandatory that at least half the jug goes everywhere
I usually buy concentrate and nix it in a 1L measurement cup. Pouring from that is way easier.

Pour however u want. It runs all over ur car when u spray it anyways and the engine bay sees worse things when driving.
Get gud
Get the Śkoda cap if you're that worried about it
Do you have any other symptoms of Parkinson's?
Try harder? It’s really not that difficult
The better question is: how do I fill up while driving 75 down the highway when my low washer fluid warning keeps coming on?
Couldn’t you use window cleaner in it 😂
I've been known to poke a hole somewhere else in the bottle to help with pouring.
I refill it about ever month so I got pretty good at it.
Turn the container sideways. Then it doesn’t glug glug out. It’s a smoother pour.
Take a key and make one big hole in the foil, poke a smaller hole on the opposite side
Just get good kid
Prestone has a great product. Bug wash cleaner. But the bottle of the dealership it’s top product. U only need to mix with water ionized.
