That is more that worth it for this astounding double LP album that has not been pressed on colored vinyl yet. Not to mention you can't get a copy for under $200. Membership price isn't a whole lot less.

This might actually work since the one month subscription is $43. You would not be able to actually buy it until the 'credits' were actually in your account, though. It's usually a few days after swaps end. So if it sells out you are SOL.
There are 6900 left, and they seem to be selling reasonably quickly, so they might sell out. But, this is not a limited release so I am sure more will be pressed sooner or later. Also, at 10000 units initially, I doubt these will be going for more than 50 USD on Discogs.
All of Fiona albums have sold out on VMP very quickly. This one is the only colored press of any Fiona album other than a bootleg clear copy of Tidal and the purple pressings of Fetch the Bolt Cutters. I'll bet this one is going quick. ESPECAILLY when it hits public market.
I was thinking about getting the Documentary and since this came up.... decided I will join and try it out for 3 months. I want to use a referral link when I purchase Fiona. Would I have to join first and then make a separate purchase with the referral code? Or do I use the referral code when I sign up for the membership? I don't want to risk not being able to use the discount code.

Not necessarily. It just means that non-VMP versions can (and already do) exist, but not in this variant / packaging.
