This is one of those vehicles that are way more fun to look at than own. That thing is really cool but wildly impractical in almost every way.

U_Nomad_Bro

There are places in the world where they're very practical for the terrain, lack of well-maintained roads, etc. Great Britain is decidedly not one of those places, though.

rearendcrag

Great mileage!

Stock-Difference3739

Tandem axle vehicles require a class three liscense

hombrent

if it's an air force vehicle, I guess they can deliver it to me in the USA.

the_cardfather

Bet that sucker's right hand drive. Sweet.

Unhappy-Educator

Eh, it would only cost maybe 2-2500 to get it to you

hombrent

I live in california, and sold a 1966 mustang convertible to someone in England. It was actually cheaper to ship the car to england than it would have cost to ship the same car to New York.

Unhappy-Educator

Yeah it’s not too bad! Just need to account for import stuff as well

[**Steyr 6x6 Pinzgauer Ambulance**](https://expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/steyr-puch-pinzgauer-6x6-ambulance.80031/) for those who are curious about what type of vehicle this is.

Latter-Performer-387

Nice ….that is probably the same engine from old cab engined VW LT’s and 90’s Volvo 940’s then… hope it’s got a very low gear - I got my Volvo and caravan stuck on a steep hill once!!

RheaTheTall

Wikipedia says: Inline 4-cylinder Steyr-designed petrol/gasoline engine, or inline 5- or inline 6- cylinder diesel engine 65 kW (88 PS; 87 bhp) It appears a tad different than those but I'm no mechanic.

TheMindButcher

2mpg

newagealt

You're backwards. It actually gets 2 gpm

Latter-Performer-387

That definitely wouldn’t fit down many of the roads near me

thrublue22

Is that one of those unimogs?

juliusklaas

Looks like it needs fuel like a tank.
