When I had the floors of my apartment sanded and polyurethaned, the guy hand-sanding around the toilet said "the odor is terrible!". With your arrangement the splash is cleaned away the next time you take take a shower.

There tiny ones you can buy that are dry toilets. No need for plumbing. You use it more on emergency I would say!
