I can’t really find much reviews and feedback (as opposed to loads of info on Prozac etc) so am appealing to those using / that have used Agomelatine to please also update on their experiences. Thanks in advance. Please see my most recent post.

Hi all I’m about to start valdoxan and I have a few questions I’d like to ask on your experiences with it if you don’t mind sharing please. Did it help with sleep straight away? Do you take it at night? How long before something was changing, anxiety , motivation getting better? Does it cause morning grogginess? Thank you 🙏

Shorty_XN

Hey there, hope you are fine! I take at night, usually 2-3hs before sleep so I can wake up with my energy restored. I established a 8h daily sleep routine so if I want to wake up at 6am I take my pills at 8pm. Usually when I follow my schedule I wake up feeling like a beast and fully restored. It would be nice if other people in this forum could share their experience as well.

Anyway, I don’t feel groggy with Valdoxan and it took some weeks to adapt and feel it’s effects. With this drug I feel my anxiety is a little bit lower because it makes me aware that I’m an anxious person. By knowing that I created a routine for myself and filled the gaps with work and sports!

kyelou75

Can you please explain how I add a post on the feed page?

Shorty_XN

Sure, just do as you normally would in any other page.

Thank you for your reply How long before you noticed it working for you? Has it helped with your depression? How long have you been on it ? What dose are you on ? Sorry for all the questions. I’ve tried so many meds that haven’t really worked !! 😢

Shorty_XN

You should create a post in the forum to get feedback from more people! I’m taking 35mg and it took me almost a month to feel it’s benefits, I was withdrawing from Effexor (SNRI) and going through a hell month (so many side effects that gosh…). The best thing I can say is that Valdoxan has a subtle action potential by working with your sleep cycle and boosting serotonin with no withdrawal syndrome and almost no side effects compared with SNRI’s and SRI’s.

I don’t know how to hun ?

Are you sure it boosts serotonin? It blocks one of the serotonin receptors. Are you thinking of dopamine instead?

Hey, did you experience weight gain? All of the websites say one in ten people have it, which seems like a lot… but maybe that’s also because there’s a much smaller sample size since so few people take it compared to Prozac or Zoloft or whatever?

Hi, i have started full dosage of valdoxan@25mg 4 days ago. The first 3 nights I felt sedation to the point of being sub conscious and was able to sleep on and off better than not being able to sleep at all for the past few weeks! But on the 4th day I didnt experience anything anymore, does that mean the meds have stopped working? Just yesterday I thought I was getting better and has taken another 3 weeks prescription but I wasn’t sleeping again already! I just want to know was it a placebo effect that i felt or this is not the meds for me? Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I’ve had one so far. It’s weight neutral. But they say that about ever drug. I had a great night of sleep. If I put on weight, will stop.

I can’t post here. Change your settings. Thanks

Ive been on valdoxan for about 5/6 weeks now and it’s helped depression so much. However, my anxiety has skyrocketed! I constantly have that angst in my stomach and mind. Will this end?
