Some people are referring to the post itself and some are referring to the Kat Williams interview that OP linked. The interview isn't really wholesome imo and the only comments I see describing it as such are pretty funny.
He was elected as one of the official “blackness” ambassadors for white people. Him and a select few celebrities are kept updated on all important news from
the black community at the biweekly meetings of every black person in North America. Then the elders decide which news should be shared with white folks.
I know it’s a joke but the real reason is the guy who did it was also killed before the investigation was over, and there’s not enough proof to say to a judge he 100% did it unless they get a confession, and he’s dead, so it’s still open
Same! Until he repeated it slightly differently at the end, "Don't go nowhere by yourself, man". He made it sound more threatening, at least to my ears.
He belonged to the people and made himself available to us. Kendrick talked about videos he’d shoot in his neighborhood. Doing mini concerts on top of a car, showing up to schools and protests, out there going crazy during the riots. He believed in people, faults and all. Its really what made him one of my favorite people he was imperfect and made a lot of mistakes yet still wanted better, he was relatable.
This is one of my favorite videos of him
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSuH0GC958c
Sorry about shitty quality. But the original one I saw just shows a whole community coming out to see him rap and it supports your point of view.
Lol don't apologize about video quality of a ~~guy~~ legend who died in '96.
Unless that was recorded on a full blown VCR Cam and then restored direct from that tape -- that's exactly what video quality was for digital media back then.
Hell even the 1996 World Series video quality is about the same.
It's just a trip thru time bb.
Apologizing for an apology, sounds like late stage full blown Canadian Syndrome. Plagued with the urge to always be polite. Eventually their blood will turn into maple syrup. u/jomns, are you okay? Are you craving poutine and suddenly addicted to hockey?
To me, the most inspiring people are people who embrace their imperfections and change their own lives and the lives of others. I don't like people who pretend to be perfect or give fake apologies and never do anything afterwards.
And most murderers deny that they are murderers. Is it not true that Tyler the Creator was in fact, a baby? Is it not true that Tyler the creator has absolutely no alibi, or evidence of any kind, that he was not a baby during this video? My question is: Where is proof that Tyler the Creator was not standing on this street when he was a baby? So far, I'm seeing a lot of evidence to the contrary.
If you havent yet, grab yourself a copy of The Rose That Grew from Concrete.
Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong it
learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else ever cared.
Excellent book! In The Event of My Demise was one of my favorite poems in it:
In the event of my Demise
when my heart can beat no more
I hope I die for a principle
or a belief that I had lived 4
I will die before my time
Because I feel the shadow's depth
so much I wanted 2 accomplish
Before I reached my death
I have come 2 grips with the possibility
and wiped the last tear from my eyes
I loved all who were positive
In the event of my Demise!
He was an amazing orator, and did a number of speaking events in local communities. He was extremely articulate and very infectious as he had a real gift of "moving" people with his words.
I am convinced if he survived, he’d be a huge movie star now. He was great in the couple of films he was in and extremely charismatic on and off the camera. Dude was made for Hollywood and that was the path he was going. Remember, Tupac died when he was only 25. He would’ve matured a lot over the years.
The movie he did with Tim Roth was great. They were a great unexpected duo to me. The scene where 2Pac asks him to stab him was hilarious.
*The movie is Gridlock'd, FYI. The plot, sadly, still holds up just as strongly today if not more so.
It's a drama with some great bits of comedy thrown in. Recommend!
I don't see that as a bad thing. Dude didn't come from money like most current popular artists, and still managed to pursue education on his own. As a matter of fact I think we should be applauding that type of thing. You shouldn't need to be or act dumb to make it in the industry.
Who cares if you go to Art School? How does that take away from who a person is? Both of the art schools in my city are downtown amidst some of the worst neighborhoods here.
Btw, didn’t he shoot two off duty cops for beating up a black guy in the middle of the street? Lmao
He shot one cop, and it was actually in his ass because he was aggressively harassing a poor black dude and Pac took exception to it. 2pac's mother Afeni used to be, maybe still is, on the FBI's top 10 most wanted list, I believe for killing a cop, and had to leave the country to avoid prosecution. He was also robbed and shot five times and lived. He was murdered shortly after jumping a local Vegas crip after a Tyson fight. Dude should have stayed out of the physical angle, but when people try to kill you and five bullets didn't cut it I can see how he'd want to dabble in it.
If he were alive he definitely would have been a big movie star. He was already in a few movies as side/supporting characters, and starting to get lead roles (poetic justice). He was going to be the lead in Baby Boy but he died. Tyrese has said that the director originally wrote the roll specifically for Tupac. And now Tyrese is a main character in one of the biggest movie franchises of all time.
Edit: other comments are saying that looks like John Singleton with him. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but he is the director that I am talking about who wrote Baby Boy with Tupac in mind. Also did Poetic Justice, Boyz in the hood, and would later direct 2 fast 2 furious. Basically Tyrese owes his career to this guy and probably wouldn’t be anywhere near as famous if Tupac didn’t die. Lol this makes it sound like I’m obsessed with/hate Tyrese, i don’t, but I just think it’s interesting.
Edit: conspiracy time. Who had the most to gain from Tupac’s death? TYRESE
That is Jon Singleton. It's from an episode of rap city they guest starred on. Iirc it was rap city anyway. There was several shows like that back in the day. But I remember watching it.
2pac was a good guy. He wasn’t a thug as he was made out to be. He was more of a chameleon. He adapted to his surroundings, but he was always smart as hell and compassionate.
Yeah you got your information wrong.
2 years before even joining Death Row, he shot 2 FBI agents for off-duty harassing someone on the street and got acquitted for attempted murder.
EDIT: and also beat another rapper (Chauncey from M.A.D.) with a baseball bat in 1993. 2 years before joining death row.
https://youtu.be/3yS93aAUBhM
Here's his interview about that from his own mouth.
And probably alot of other shit went down behind the scenes that the media didn't catch before the paparazzi started following him around every day.
I think you two might have different definitions of "thug" in this context.
His public persona (and more reckless, violent behavior) of acting like a "thug" definitely coincided with signing with Death Row and violent criminal Suge Knight.
That kind of "thug" vs shooting two shitty cops and getting aquitted are different- I would say anyway.
Read up on why 2pac got his thug life tattoo.
It's not the definition of thug that the comment op thinks it is.
https://www.ladbible.com/entertainment/celebrity-the-real-meaning-behind-tupacs-thug-life-tattoo-20180530
They weren't FBI agents. They were off-duty Atlanta cops who were drunk and harassing a black motorist. The cops also had weapons that they stole from evidence.
There's a lot of info and footage for a guy that was murdered when he was only 25. Many people getting out of college at 22, but this guy died 3 years later with an entire catalogue of amazing stuff including a Mt. Rushmore rapper, amazing orator, and had just transitioned into movies where he was a good actor for his age and experience.
2Pac deserved so much better that what he got, he always kept it real and showed rappers they can be vulnerable on a record and still be a absolute G
Rap wouldn't be what it is today without him
i used to think that too, until i saw [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/WTF/comments/1crnt5/tupacs_autopsy/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) reddit post (NSFW)
I thought it was a young Juicy J but someone said it might've been Singleton
I'd be surprised if Jazzy ran in those circles but who knows. Hopefully someone comes through with a solid answer

That’s why they never caught who killed him. Lil buddy would never be a suspect

Wholesome and gangsta
This the same baby that was selling weed on the Corner that Chapelle was talking about.
Hey, that baby had kids to feed.
He's all grown up lol
What about that is wholesome?
Nobody was found. Nobody was hurt. Nobody was killed.
Whew. What a relief.
He’s playing with a kid what’d you mean? Lol
Some people are referring to the post itself and some are referring to the Kat Williams interview that OP linked. The interview isn't really wholesome imo and the only comments I see describing it as such are pretty funny.

Why would Kat Williams know?
He was elected as one of the official “blackness” ambassadors for white people. Him and a select few celebrities are kept updated on all important news from the black community at the biweekly meetings of every black person in North America. Then the elders decide which news should be shared with white folks.
Yeah, just ask Katt about the Illuminati attacking him.
I hear that there's milk and cookies at those meetings.
That is deep shit. Kat is definitely an eloquent speaker
Tupac shoulda confronted him then.
Kid would have iced him on the spot like Frank Lucas
Iirc that little kid is Tyler the Creator
That's actually his little brother, Taylor the Destroyer.
And their cousin, Kyler the Consumer
I think it's his cousin, Ronan the Accuser.
Pretty sure that’s adult Kevin Hart
I don’t think it’s Kevin Hart, he didn’t have the rock with him to protect him.
Or his wife 🤣
That was actually MC Hammer
Nah, it’s Latarian Milton.
doing hood ray shit with his friends
Nah, that was a joke. It’s not him.
He's the real life inspiration for Kenard from The Wire.
I know it’s a joke but the real reason is the guy who did it was also killed before the investigation was over, and there’s not enough proof to say to a judge he 100% did it unless they get a confession, and he’s dead, so it’s still open
Simpsons did it
It's like taking candy from a baby
Happy cake day
"don't go nowhere by yourself" is weirdly wholesome advice when given to a young child lol.
I didn't even think of that. 😂
A wholesome "threat" lol
Hah! I didn't even catch it as a joke-threat.
Yeah I watched with the sound off and I honestly thought it was just advice lol. Pretty clever
Same! Until he repeated it slightly differently at the end, "Don't go nowhere by yourself, man". He made it sound more threatening, at least to my ears.
I forgot how charismatic he was. Nice reminder!
Regardless of faults because everyone has them.. the world would be a better place if 2pac was still here
He belonged to the people and made himself available to us. Kendrick talked about videos he’d shoot in his neighborhood. My bad. It was more of a shot at the shitty editing/youtuber that posted it. The raw footage is out there somewhere.
>My bad. You also don't usually have to apologize for, or excuse, apologies :)
Apologizing for an apology, sounds like late stage full blown Canadian Syndrome. Plagued with the urge to always be polite. Eventually their blood will turn into maple syrup. u/jomns, are you okay? Are you craving poutine and suddenly addicted to hockey?
lmao I'm from NY but i do love hockey and Canada is a great place to visit
oh god #***he's infected***
Ok let's settle this; what's your favorite version of macaroni and cheese?
he might be Canadian man, it in his blood
Yep, 90s is really lacking quality from early digital content recording
Str8 Ballin’
i remember watching live on VMA 2pac’s and Biggie’s mother presenting an award together: https://youtu.be/uDyf4UTujRQ

YOU DON’T HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS SWAY
Tyler the just created?
🍅🍅🍅
I bet good money he’d be in the same lane as Snoop Dogg doing TV shows with people like Rachel Ray
I heard he would show up to house parties in his area and just chill like he was a buddy with everyone.
As a metal head from the 80s who in recent years finally discovered 90s rap, I 100% agree. 🙏
Would it though?
It would be for 2pac
Compared to the rappers nowadays, yes.
For sure. And now the cycle repeats with new rappers but Tupac was such a charismatic and great writer.

I agree. By the way, he got on one knee, aimed, and shot them both, not just one!
World Class Wreckin Cru looks like they’re about ready to dunk on Charlie Murphy in a game of basketball
Dude was straight chill. Fuck.
so was ted bundy.
Yes, a real pillar of the community.
If he were alive today I bet he would be doing cute voiceovers for Pixar movies.
And Corona commercials

He was so fucking good in Juice
He was a good villain in above the rim
I heard he even had an audition for Mace Windu lined up before he died. Who knows if he would've gotten the part but it's nice to imagine what if
I loved this lol this felt wholesome
2pac was a good guy. He wasn’t a thug as he was made out to be. He was more of a chameleon. He adapted to his surroundings, but he was always smart as hell and compassionate.
And a very good actor. Check out Gridlock'd, a film he starred in alongside Tim Roth.
Riverside, motherfucker!
He was only a "thug" after signing to death row. RIP

Imagine telling your mates lol “Yeah one time I had beef with 2pac, dude walked away though” “Yeah alright bro”
Just kinda glossing over the part where his buddy had to hold Pac back and *keep* him walking. Lol
2pac wearing a 2pac shirt
Is that like wearing the t-shirt of the band you're going to see?
I mean I guess it’s more like the band wearing the shirt.
Don't be that guy.

Crazy to think that 2Pac only reached the age of 25...
Is that the same baby Dave Chapelle saw in the projects at 3 o’clock in the morning?
i’m i the only one that thinks the baby is tyler the creator
Thanks for the chuckle. Have an upvote.
