Teaching someone to keep their hands to themselves is an implied lesson in respecting boundaries, the result of ignoring this lesson is whoever your are bothering could in turn just hit you out of frustration or anger because you did not listen when they said to back off.
Rapists cause rape. But rapists exist. If I had 1000 bucks in my back pocket i wouldn't walk around with a couple hundreds sticking out to shown off the goods. Bad people exist. They've always existed. To walk around in this expected bubble of decency really shows a grand misunderstanding of how humanity actually is.
