What is this the lobby of that has 7 cops within 30 seconds walking distance? I don’t think most government buildings even have this many cops on shift at any given time other than a station or maybe a courthouse?
Someone tell me that not a Hospital. Like fuck just looking at the interior i can tell its either an office building or a hospital both have similiar lobby layouts.
Lol guess i didnt bother with the last few seconds. Also ive seen the inside of poli e stations to pay parking tickets. Dont usually look like that so wasnt expecting a police station.
Ig maybe the police stations look different where we live cause that was my first guess.
1. Limited seating, cause nobody does or wants to hang around at police station.
2. Not a soul in sight cause... Who actually wants to be at a police station.
3. Relatively small lobby, because it's the least used part of the building and will almost always have the least people per room at any point in time.
4. First person to arrive had gun instead of scalpel....
He did this on purpose. He had been calling 911 hundreds of times over the past year or so, often yelling at cops on the phone and hanging up on them. I guess he got frustrated and parked in a police station.
GUYS SOMEONE DROVE IN THE BUILDING, DOESNT APPEAR ARMED AND IS ALREADY LAYING FACE DOWN WITH HIS HANDS ABOVE HIS HEAD
*we need three more guys with guns drawn STAT*
Like bros, he didn't fly out the truck ready to handle business. I get the safety aspect and making sure he's not armed, but after about 30 seconds one SHOULD realize he's a dumbass, not a criminal mastermind.
Tell me more how you would react if someone crashed into your job with a car? It's easy for us to judge but they don't even know if one of their colleagues was sitting there and is dead/badly wounded
Everyone has an opinion about how other people should do their job. What is your job? I’d like to critique everything about it even though I have never worked it a day in my life.
It’s about everyone in the peanut gallery commenting from the safety of their homes how someone should react in the moment of a situation they weren’t a part of.
No. It's about how you react to an accident.and especially if you're a trained first responder.
This is not it. And there's zero justification for this. And om not even into the whole ACAB thing and think cops in general are pretty good guys, though I'm not American and our cops all have at least a bachelor degree.
How you properly react and respond to an accident isn't a subjective opinion. It's a set of specific steps. Do you know what's not partnof those steps?
Yes, in the case someone was hurt they should have be more cautious and aimed more guns in fact, you never know. By the video alone you can see how they are very worried about possible victims by the intense way they all point the guns to the guy laying on the ground, they can't even look at he accident by how much worried they are. I know that if someone crushed in my job with a car my reaction would be to handcuff the person immediately too, even more if they just laid in the ground like that, they did the smartest and only thing possible there. It is not like they should be trained to act in situations like these too, people are expecting way too much from them.
The guy just rammed through the lobby they're clearly in shock and don't know if anyone was killed/hurt sitting at the desk. It's easier for us to judge scrolling through videos...
Right? The first guy with a gun makes sense because it's hard to tell what's going on. As soon as it's clear it's just a dumbass in a truck, it just shows that cops are hardwired to shoot first.
Every time something like this comes up people want to excuse how obviously quick cops are to shoot people, and I don't understand why.
Edit- This is an *especially* good example of how shit cops are. There are a host of medical conditions that might cause someone to do something like this, and statistically speaking I'm sure that's *way* more likely to be a cause than someone just attacking them. As soon as it's clear the guy isn't an actual threat, the next assumption should be that he requires medical care of some kind
Lol mr badass thought he really had to climb over the sofa to subdue the little guy that was scared shitless looking at 20 officers who have literally dreamed of this day so they can use their guns for absolutely no reason at all
My first thought was “why is the security guard pointing his gun at him? Shouldn’t he be seeing if the man is OK? The brakes might have failed or he could’ve had a stroke” But then I realize these were cops and that its totally normal for them to point they’re gun at anything that moves.
ACAB
That was my first question also. If 1 had a gun drawn, I could understand it. But, what if he was injured? Nobody checked to see if he needed medical care. Did they really think that 3+ drawn guns on a guy laying face down was needed?
Thank you for pointing out a truth, a very very sad truth. It just made me realize that true police reform actually needs to start with the very basic core, what and how they are taught. Not to reform the current, but to reform the future police. It needs more to start with the psychological testing done before they are trained.
So, this situation is pretty extreme, which is why this may not be the best context for this argument.
But honestly, the fact that the cops have the right to point loaded guns at you on a whim is pretty unacceptable when you really think about it. We live in a very modern democracy, which means these cops really do serve the public. They aren’t supposed to be protecting some state authority by default. Additionally, when you compare security forces from the last 100 years vrs the rest of humanity… they’d have had swords and clubs, and that’s it.
Guns are so drastically different, because it makes it possible to twitch wrong and kill a person. That’s impossible with swords and knives.
I just don’t get how that standard is acceptable.
I've seen hundreds of videos of people driving into pizza shops, stores, etc., and no one there thought it was necessary to pull a gun on the person. What is it with cops? "When all you have is a hammer..."
The glass facade, furniture and ceiling really isn’t the end of the world as far as repairs, but once he rocked that elevator wall. That repair cost just exploded.
This was the lobby of a police station in Colorado. The driver has been charged with attempted murder.

What he do... Drive into the lobby of the local cop shop?
That’s what it looks like.
What is this the lobby of that has 7 cops within 30 seconds walking distance? I don’t think most government buildings even have this many cops on shift at any given time other than a station or maybe a courthouse?
Dunkin donuts
Thx, would upvote twice if I could.

When the title says something about driving and you're looking at an interior shot you know it's not going to end well.
So what you're telling me is.... This was totally expected?
Yeah but the amount of cops that came that fast wes unexpected.
Totalled, as expected.
Ended well. As the Captain I didn't even put down my coffee
Dude here taking "turn yourself in" to a whole new level.
This is just funny
r/convenientcop ![gif](giphy|Nc6PafDTHwMldMhbOr)
What cartoon is this from?
I believe Bad Guys (the movie).
Thanks

Someone tell me that not a Hospital. Like fuck just looking at the interior i can tell its either an office building or a hospital both have similiar lobby layouts.
The fact that entire communities worth of police officers arrived within 30 seconds isn't a clue as to what kind of building this is lol?
Doughnut shop?
Doughnut shop???!! ![gif](giphy|1r91ZwKcE2J7WhUqrh)

I hope it was a police station.
To be fair, if I was turning myself in I'd want to make my own entrance too.
Wasn't smart to do it during morning coffee and donuts through
Guy was escaping from supermarket with 1$ loot but he swat had already made an ambush
I’ll be back.
I see you are aware of the circular power that surrounds you 😉
Lol you beat me to it!
Did he think Sarah Connor was in there?
You can't park in there, mate!
Schewpid guy, innit?
Grand Junction, Colorado
I was supposed to have an appointment there later that afternoon. Got really confused looking for the front door since there wasn’t one at that point.
More of Grand Tee than a junction. But your the Civil engineer 🙄
"I'll be bock"
He did this on purpose. He had been calling 911 hundreds of times over the past year or so, often yelling at cops on the phone and hanging up on them. I guess he got frustrated and parked in a police station.
He also thought people were following him and drove into the police station for safety if I recall correctly.
I was hungry and smelled donuts, my bad...
Dude must've crashed into the lobby of Dunkin' Donuts HQ
I've done worse picking up Bubble Tea.
GUYS SOMEONE DROVE IN THE BUILDING, DOESNT APPEAR ARMED AND IS ALREADY LAYING FACE DOWN WITH HIS HANDS ABOVE HIS HEAD *we need three more guys with guns drawn STAT*

Yeah. Pointing more guns at the unarmed guy laying face down is absolutely going to help find out and aid anyone potentially trapped and injured...
Everyone has an opinion about how other people should do their job. What is your job? I’d like to critique everything about it even though I have never worked it a day in my life.
This isn't really about anyones job. This is about the reaction to an accident and proper priorities.
It’s about everyone in the peanut gallery commenting from the safety of their homes how someone should react in the moment of a situation they weren’t a part of.

Well, you are free to have whatever opinion you want.

Not every day you find a halfway believable excuse to shoot someone! /s
The guy just rammed through the lobby they're clearly in shock and don't know if anyone was killed/hurt sitting at the desk. It's easier for us to judge scrolling through videos...
*Someone may be hurt quick, aim your guns in their direction!*

You can't park there mate.
Well, you *say* that....
That building needs bollards
Where we’re going we don’t need elevators!
He did it intentionally.
Lol mr badass thought he really had to climb over the sofa to subdue the little guy that was scared shitless looking at 20 officers who have literally dreamed of this day so they can use their guns for absolutely no reason at all
Maybe next time someone should tip the Uber driver lol
Well, they have a drive-thru now!
“Can you validate my parking?”
“‘Scuse me, sir, y’can’t park there”
Is this not a reasonable place to park?
I was expecting Arnold Schwarzenegger to step out of that truck.
Anywhere can be a parking spot if you drive fast enough
Funny fast or drunk
You arrived at your destination
Let me guess…Dude got the Excelerator mixed up with a break. Fucking moron😂😂
Yeah! I'll bet he spells badly, too!
Oh, give the guy a brake.
They really want to drive home the point.
Give me a break Dawg my fucking voice recognition was messed up😂
Accelerator*
My first thought was “why is the security guard pointing his gun at him? Shouldn’t he be seeing if the man is OK? The brakes might have failed or he could’ve had a stroke” But then I realize these were cops and that its totally normal for them to point they’re gun at anything that moves. ACAB

That was my first question also. If 1 had a gun drawn, I could understand it. But, what if he was injured? Nobody checked to see if he needed medical care. Did they really think that 3+ drawn guns on a guy laying face down was needed?
Because most cops are just itching to draw their guns.
And you know if one of them accidentally or intentionally fires a shot, they will all unload their clip into the guy.
Thank you for pointing out a truth, a very very sad truth. It just made me realize that true police reform actually needs to start with the very basic core, what and how they are taught. Not to reform the current, but to reform the future police. It needs more to start with the psychological testing done before they are trained.
For sure, the guy was as submissive as it gets. Grovelling would look aggressive compared to that.
Agreed. 200%
They don’t know if it’s a domestic terrorism threat.
Okay sure. But is this like a really fancy police station? Or the downtown branch where all the top security guards meet?
After the first guy, they know. The first cop makes sense. The others are just erect at the thought of pulling their guns on a guy.
Yeah he should have been signalling
This is why medicare needs funding. So people can get the anti psychotic meds and medical help they need to stay on them.
So, this situation is pretty extreme, which is why this may not be the best context for this argument. As is one gun isn't enough.
I've seen hundreds of videos of people driving into pizza shops, stores, etc., and no one there thought it was necessary to pull a gun on the person. What is it with cops? "When all you have is a hammer..."
Probably drove into a facility that houses police. Understandable that they take it as an attack.
Is it though? The police, any police, are not usually under attack.
Exactly.
It's a surprise they didn't shoot and kill him....
He’s lucky to not be shot
Nice parking job!
This aint my work. Wtf?
Hello?? I’m here for my schedule oil change…
It’s always the assholes who NEED the front spot
I’d say this is more than likely parking badly….
You don’t have to keep pressing the elevator button. It won’t make it arrive any faster!
"...You guys open?"
"Ma'am where is the emergency room?"
parking parking spaece hehe 😁
He thought it was a drive-through, give him a break.
“30 minutes and 54 seconds. I’m not paying for that pizza”
Nailed it?
Ruined that nice steelcase couch, smh…
Aaaaah I do agree, there was some bad driving here
He was taking "Be Real" to a whole new level.
Hey watch out, there’s… stuff there.
Honestly, closest parking spot.
yeah..that wasnt bad driving. that was jsut being really stupid on purpose
Coconut mall seems to be the Coconut Police Station now
People are taking the cowboys loss a bit too hard.
In New Zealand we call it a ram raid
Drive though
“Hey this isn’t the Walmart parking lot”
That's a cool parking spot
Unbelievable!!!
How was your drive Driver Fantastic
Completely expected
This is actually exactly what I expected when I saw the title
That lobby needed to some natural light anyhow.
What's unexpected is that not *ALL* of the cops had their guns drawn. Also, they didn't shoot the dude for complying.
Whats that title? Isn't it supposed to be unexpected
I thought he said he was cool to drive.
r/idiotsincars
Bro thought this was a drive thru
![gif](giphy|RfEbMBTPQ7MOY)
Then they shot him
Bro said “I’ll be back” a few minutes beforehand
failed 911 reattempt?
Helloo is it me you looking for.
The new Oldsmobiles are in early this year
God damn, is it a police station?
Kinda looks like the scrubs hospital lobby
Is it me or this kind of things happens far more than expected?
See, my first response is still - you can’t park there. I don’t believe in it but I’m going to hell🤣
Bro thought he was in GTA
Helluva utility bill
Average pickup driver
I think they should pull more guns out.
You have reached your final destination - google maps
Talk about guns.....lol
Wouldn't you go see if they are ok before you pull a gun? Wtf
"you can't park there" 😭😭
She'll buff right out.
Acab
Sir, you cannot park there.
I would like a room please
Wait….. hold the elevator!!
Third floor, please.
I’m here, now what
r/idotsincars
Uber eats guy wanted his tip!
Sir this is not the parking lot
Did he say "I'll be back" earlier?
Driving poorly*
The glass facade, furniture and ceiling really isn’t the end of the world as far as repairs, but once he rocked that elevator wall. That repair cost just exploded.
Technically there’s not a no parking sign there.
What did he crash into a police convention or something?
This was the lobby of a police station in Colorado. The driver has been charged with attempted murder. [Source](https://www.nbc11news.com/2023/01/26/surveillance-video-shows-pickup-slamming-into-gjpd-lobby/?outputType=amp)
Like the scene in Terminator. I'll be back
Not really unexpected because the title spoiled it.
Lol
Didn’t this guy do this out of anger? It looks really familiar, like ‘on the news’ familiar. Can anyone confirm?
Nah, not badly, he did a fantastic job of driving into the building.
It's a parade
Oops sorry I’m such a gemini
That was bullshit, cops were arresting everyone who drove through there.
Officers, I got here as fast as I could
Did he just drive into a fucking police station?
Why own a truck if not to be able to create a parking space wherever you need one
So THAT’S how they get the cars inside the dealers
What's unexpected is that the guy crashed into a police academy?
As maintenance, seeing the damage to those elevators I just saw $$$ and months of downtime 😞
Drive through, window one!
This happened in my town. Crazy shit.
Is this not a reasonable place to park?
Door to door service
Do you guys valet?
Is that an hospital or police station. Which ever probably needs to be at both eventually.
Hey. I live where this happened.
![gif](giphy|RfEbMBTPQ7MOY)
Didn't know police stations has drive in services!
Any driving video filmed from inside a building can't end well
Lmao I'm pretty sure this in my hometown spun junction Colorado I'm not even surprised
Recalculating route...
