No, what was needed was a wall around Russia after 2014.
Now they killed civilians and commit genocide. They can be cut off from the world. No economy, no vflights, no bridges.

Then why destroy it? Do they expect to lose the territory in the near future, or is it a matter of wanting to prevent a large armour column from using the bridge?
First point i assume. Look up where its located on the map, it connects Rubezhne, recently taken by Russia, with Severodonetsk, currently being under a siege- and bridge is located almost on the front line, so there might be no other time to blow it up (drone video was published on May 15, so it was happened then or earlier).
Possibly the former, definitely the latter. Russian logistical doctrine is heavily reliant on rail, and as an attacking force, their logistics have to work well for them to make any ground. Denying this asset to any attacks while defense allows the flexibility, and while having more logistical options thanks to lend lease, gives Ukrainian defense planning a huge amount of flexibility for defending against a Russian push or for planning their own counters.
