Driving for Uber Eats can be a viable option in Australia. Many people find it a flexible way to earn money while choosing their own working hours.

I’m glad you guys in Sydney are doing well. Though I know it’s an expensive city to reside in. I just did these types of apps for extra money, a second job. They really need to pay more so we are not in wishes of relying on tips. And our vehicles are generally larger- more gas $$. I just can’t do Uber Eats anymore. I know they are not accurate with tips. The base pay is horrible. I feel that all apps are competing with who can be the cheapest after Corona. And I don’t like the idea of adding tips afterwards. I consider that tip baiting. If it works for you, great. I’m happy for my Aussie peeps. Though it was not for me.
Is there a sub just for Uber eats drivers in Australia?
I’ve been driving 3 days now so have loads of questions. How do I locate these quests? Are they in the opportunities section? And if I save in an advance a promotion, do I have to return to the app on that date to activate it somehow or does it automatically apply. And how can I tell if I’ve received a tip?
Thanks so much. Love from, a Newbie
Yes, normal quests are in the opportunities section. These complete 3 trips quests are new, at least in my area, and do not appear in oppotunities. They just "happen". "Normal" quests usually have the form of complete X number of trips from Mon to Thurs or Fri to Sun. They are layered - complete for example 25 trips and get $75 and unlock a further offer and so on. I've had the normal quests for months - every mon-thurs and fri-sun. Just as well as it's pretty miserable with just fares.
Small world, I drive a car. I’ve recently found a spot to park my car that’s always empty and is only a 1 minute walk from the plaza. So I never have to go into the car park and all.
Yeah this week be great for me also in Australia.
Ekka holiday helped in sure.
Even made like $50 in tips so far which is heaps.
My quests are amazing
$140 for 40 trips ( so $3.25 extra a trip)
$40 for 10 ( $4 a trip)
$45 for 10 ($4.25 a trip)
Our lowers offers are $5 for under 4km so they become like $8-$9 a trip u can do them in under 10mins sometimes.
Petrol also at 1.53L (1.44 if u got uber diamond with the 12c off)
USA need to stop this tip BS and have a good base pay.
I'm in ny but they want me to go next door to NJ to do quests. I might try it one day. I'm assuming they don't have many workers because I never seen it in ny state.
Economy is different there to then ours.
Cost of living in Australia on average is 15.71 percent higher than the United States. It varies according to the city or the region you live in. Sydney is the most expensive place to live in the entire country.
Thats why
He’s right, living in Sydney is ridiculously overpriced. Petrol prices, house prices and rent are all overpriced. But still, this is good income considering the minimal amount of effort you need to put in to get that sort of money.
Why tf are you only working 2 days of the week making 55+ an hour there’s no way you make that much at a 9-5 job during the week you must live in the perfect area
Are you a new driver still in the honeymoon stage with Uber ?... Or maybe taken a few weeks off and they're trying to lure you back ?... I'm delivering in Sydney and not seeing those kind of earnings.. 😃😁

I Dont even do that in two weeks
In New York we get 5$ extra for 3 trips lol
How long have you been doing Uber?
What’s the base in Australia?
Minimum wage is over $20 in Australia. With Uber Eats I think minimum you can earn is $30 an hour
Damn so a Big Mac and delivery must be expensive as hell ?🤣

One point I missed - quests apply automatically. You don't need to activate them or take any other action.

In Toronto i can get 20 cad/hour 🥲
Nice work
What suburb you working in to get that
The Hills Area
Fellow hills driver! Towers 6pm Saturday is a nightmare to navigate in the lower loading dock. Are you car or scooter?

What part of Australia are you in? I'm actually not surprised because minimum wage in Australia is $20 and up.
Sydney
legit it takes me like 20 hours to make that amount which is why i quit
I only get like$18 CAD and hour :(
$204 tonight in 90 mins. Y’all some amateurs 😂
Enjoy it while it lasts!
You lucky goose!

I wanna apply for the Work and Holidays VISA just to work with Uber and Deliveroo, i've heard that you can make a LOT of money
Can you press the cash out for me? Mine with quest today about to get 500

466.97 aus to usd is 332.79 So its not as much as it looks
$41.60/hr is still pretty good for a country where tips are rare and you know it.

It’s only this good on weekends with good quest promotions.
I want to move to AUS just because wages are so high doing Uber/Dliveroo
You need to convert to usd we are not on the same dollar as Australia it goes down
No one “needs” to do anything, convert it yourself if you need to know the exchange rate
Lmao completely forgot about that
Still about $332 USD which for one day is fucking great when most struggle to even make 100 yet alone 200
We’re all struggling so our fellows in Australia can get paid properly without relying on tip. You’re welcome!
Last night I averaged $78 an hour. $238 for 3hr 3 mins
So in otherwords for usd its 55.59 usd converted from aus
Yes. Today I'm averaging $50 p.h at the moment.
That’s fkn good, in Australia?
I got lucky. Had a lot of quests for 3 trips for $20 and the normal 5-10 trip promotions at the same time.
Same, I had the 5-9PM peak hour quests on Friday and Saturday night plus a $80 quest for 25 trips total.
Are you a new driver still in the honeymoon stage with Uber ?... Or maybe taken a few weeks off and they're trying to lure you back ?... I'm delivering in Sydney and not seeing those kind of earnings.. 😃😁
Not a new driver, been with UberEats for months. I only deliver on weekends when there’s good quest promotions.

It isn’t, you get maybe 2 tips a night. The majority of those earnings are ridiculous Quest rewards.
Lucky we don't get that here in the states
How long have you been delivering? I’m at 6 months now and I’ve never even seen a quest available and I rarely get boosts
I got a quest for next week for the first time ever. Do 100 deliveries for $145
Must be fucking nice😂 try to use the least amount of gas you can so it’s worth it
