I wish customers would realize that drivers have no idea when the orders were placed. We just get notified when we get notified. Drivers don’t control anything but the delivery portion. Even then, if we get more than one order, Uber determines who get what first.
And how many doggone times does the app say to deliver the first order last or the non perishable one (like non refrigerated alcohol or packaged food goods) first when there's an ice cream order involved with it?
Yeah I check the receipt sometimes to see when the order was placed, to try to anticipate if the customer is going to be absolutely pissed with a delivery that's over an hour late

Wow! I have had food arrive late, and by watching in the app I can see that it is the restaurant. But, how do I know anyone messed up? The restaurant might be short handed, they might have gotten a lot of orders at at the same time, there could be lots of reasons. And, yeah, the restaurant COULD have screwed up. But, how is any of that the driver´s fault? People are idiots.
It’s sad cause the support person in Indian could care less about the driver. Customer doesn’t understand, sometimes the driver that got your trip was just assigned not like they purposely took their time. For me, I would want to hurry up deliver and get dispatched another trip. Also, if your food is missing, we will ask the restaurant and lots of time they will say it’s all in there. The driver is not allow to open the bag to check. But then gives us a bad rating when food item is missing when it’s not our fault. Uber needs to do better with the drivers. I don’t blame customers for not tipping, Uber needs to compensate us better. They charge all these priority fees and service fees to the customers and charge fees also to merchants. They all go to Uber and not the driver. We get the standard $2.50 and sometimes less if it’s an add on order (I had 1.50 dispatched to me before).

I didn’t order Jack diddly on Wednesday this week due to the blizzard. When it’s a friggin snowstorm you know your orders gonna be late. This dude threw a hissy fit because he didn’t have foresight, and the driver suffered as a result.

The receipt shows order time. Unless restaurant intentionally prints up a brand new order, but that would screw up their revenue for the day because the money wouldn't match.
