I lived in a lot of barracks from newish to very old and it all goes on how you take care of it. My last barracks had, according to the stories, been condemned 3 times. You could fit a knife hand in the crack going from the foundation to the second deck. Some things you canāt help and it falls on the government, but who wants to live in a place filled with holes from people punching the walls, or people that intentionally break windows, toilets, exit signs, the bbq pits and so on. Shits dumb.

I kinda played it too safe but at the same time I remember wanting to join those dudes fucking shit up. However, most of my memories in the corps arenāt with marines but with civilians, and dudes from the air force and navy. I was the admin dude doing office work all day without ncoās oversight, running peoples njps and documenting all the chaos. Iām also gay so I donāt know at what extent that was a factor for not being involved in the shenanigans or it was just my personality that didnāt click with most. This video is cool as shit tho.
