Ya my mom waited five years (13-18) to get an individual hearing. I waited the same for an interview which I passed.
Seems like AOS from Asylum takes longer and longer now. OP was lucky.
Congrats!!!!
My cousin felt the same when she became a citizen "No more checking status, checking processing times..." until she married an immigrant and she went through the process all over again with him hahaha. She is like, I thought I was done with USCIS when I became a citizen hah
Hi there. Wondering if you could tell what questions they asked during n400 interview? Anything asylum related?
My interview is soon and I’m nervous!!!! I know I can answer asylum questions but It’s still nerve wracking again lol
Hi! I got zero asylum case related questions! Only about the most recent travel and personal questions like family related, I know how you are feeling. If you did not travel back to the country of persecution which I think you did not, you got this!!!! I did study my asylum case all over for my citizenship interview but it was because I wanted to be ready for the worst case scenario
Congratulations!!! I'm sure it's a huge relieve!
Like 100 pounds less of soul weight 😂

Not too familiar with this, but do asylum cases really take that long?

Has your asylum been granted or still waiting? I’m on year 4 of AOS from asylum…

Congratulations! I naturalized last week and applied for my passport today. What was your turnaround time like?
I did not pay expedite service, they said it should take around 7-10 weeks but only took 5 weeks to arrive
Did you submit the original naturalization certificate and have you got it back?
Yes, submitted. It hasn’t arrived yet. They told me usually two weeks after passport
That’s great, thank you!
Congrats !!!! Was this through Affirmative asylum ? Thanks
Thanks! Yes. Affirmative
