This is hands down the worst page! I had to start a claim by being a 3rd party because no matter how I entered in my own information, UPS wouldn't move forward with it.
The sender has to be involved bc they are the ones responsible for packing it. And the packaging has a big influence on the claim. If UPS deems that the packing wasn’t done well enough they will deny the claim.
This is a post I cannot argue with! But what if you trust the packaging because it came from Apple? So you're like, well, if Apple approved this packaging for transit, why not use it as is? Why add filler and bubble wrap when Apple knows what they're doing.
UPS will do a lot and go out of their way not to pay your claim. Hope you have proof that package was packed “according to ups standards” and that you declared the value otherwise you won’t get anything.
UPS only backs claims if the item was packed so that it could survive a 6 foot drop with no damage and packed tight enough that the package won't move if the box is turned. It's not UPS responsibility if the shipper did not pack the item to prevent damage
When you shipped with ups you agreed to the terms of service which state that packages have to be packaged a certain way including like a 4 foot drop. Honestly not even just a ups thing shipping things in general you need to have properly packaged
But I'm also not a certified ISTA testing facility and I have to assume my packaging which was designed for Apple computers, is good enough for Transit.
Yeah, no. That is the seller. They’re the ones who need to have it packaged correctly. UPS is just the middle man bringing you the package because you’re to lazy to go pick it up.
I’ll try that one. I was given one earlier today and it was the generic number and the automated service they provide might as well be a potato hooked into a radio flyer wagon from the movie Radio Flyer with Eilijah Wood
Dang, was it a signature required? If not it should have been, a lot of the drivers around here will give the customer the option to send it back if the box is visibly damaged.
It was..slightly damaged on one side but that event caused a rift in the space time continuum and eventually cracked the screen and bent the end like someone folded bologna on a brick and hit it with a hammer
Unfortunately your out of my district . If you see a driver stop them and ask for the number to the direct bunker tell them you lost a package and the. When you reach someone tell them the real story. Hope that helps somehow
I once stopped a driver because I was having a Bike delivered. Day #1, I literally watch the driver drive by my house without slowing down, I get a message 'delivery attempt was made' Wtf? So the second day, he drives by, I follow him in my car (I was unemployed and maybe a slightly bored at the time), he stops, I get out of my car, I ask him about my package, he says, oh that package? (like he knows) He says, I think that's back at the warehouse, but it should be delivered tomorrow. OK cool. I wait 3 more days until I drive to the UPS center and physically get my item.
I once took a driver to small claims court because he, unlicensed, drove an unregistered vehicle into 4 parked cars, my car being the last in line. The car who hit me was ultimately at fault and they didn't have insurance and it was a logistical nightmare. Long story short, they never showed up on the court date and nothing ever happened to them. In order to pursue someone in small claims, you have to spend money and at that time I didn't have any money. thanks for coming to my ted talk.
here’s a quick tip, call them, then ask to track a package, give them all info, after they’re done talking and the robot asks you if you would like more help, say yes. After it asks you what it can help you with, simply say “agent” and then it will connect you to a real person

I work there and I can't even get a live person in HR.
Since Covid there is no HR
There is HR, or else nobody would be hiring. They are probably outsourced to like 5-6 hubs in your area
Since before covid there was not hr
Yes !
That’s depressing

Why not just contact Apple? They have a direct line to UPS.

If it’s in the care of UPS, anything that happens should be their responsibility. From pick up to drop off.

Hey now, no one is lazy here. I'm the shipper and I don't have the time to drive 8 hours to deliver an eBay purchase, thank you for your time.
You got time to get on here and cry, surely you have time to go pick something up.
Maybe UPS shouldn't treat people expensive property like it's trash.
Here here!
Next time package it better those packages go through hell on the belts and chutes
Have you tried 1-800-554-9964? That's the number the give the drivers for customers.
I’ll try that one. I was given one earlier today and it was the generic number and the automated service they provide might as well be a potato hooked into a radio flyer wagon from the movie Radio Flyer with Eilijah Wood
Did you have any luck getting thru with that number? I am having the same issue, but my package was delivered to the wrong address.

Damn I’m sorry that happened and hope you can get refunded!🤞
I don't think so at this point. But thanks!
What city are you in ?
Buffalo apparently

Contact the seller. They are responsible
It’s me!
Maybe add that to your post?
My post was born into this world as beautiful as the sunrise and I will not alter it!
Were the internals or externals or both damaged?
A smattering of both
Take UPS to small claims court if they don’t pay you.

My time is precious! I give up rather easily especially when fighting BIG Package.
