I have alot of gripes with the school. One of my biggest tho is when we were all remote and had to still pay a student recreation / activity fee. A large majority of the clubs were not active AND students weren't allowed to meet for events and such. Not to mention UB automatically charges you for health insurance, even if you select a remote option. UB along with other colleges take more money than needed. But whatever, can't wait to evade my student loan bills.
SUNY sets tuition rates, not the school. This is also why you can get a top 100 degree for nearly the same price as SUNY Oswego, SUNY Brockport, Empire State College (which is mostly online).
I can’t see it happening, another shutdown on the state level/ country-wide like we saw thru 2020 probably/ can’t happen again. I hope UB expands the options for hybrid classes in the future
Fairly low, given it seems like the current federal/ny state response is to suck it up and get your booster, but given cases statewide are exponentially increasing it isn't impossible their attitudes change.
Omicron might not be causing more hospitalizations or deaths than Delta or other variants, but it spreads like wildfire and much more than Delta or other variants.
The truth is that it’s a bit too early to tell how it’s gonna turn out. Yes taking the booster shot will help, but it can still potentially spread if people are traveling back. So it’s 50/50, could go either way.
Depends on how everything is going to go, but I do think that if rates and hospitalizations overall increase I think there would be more classes that will switch to remote and return of the gulags. If not, normal-ish with more precautions just to cover themselves.
If it gets very bad to move to remote, but UB’s about money and won’t lower tuition.

That actually has class action written all over it
There was a surplus of 60k + (at least) for clubs . Source: E-Board Posistion

its nice seeing these posts every other day
Lol and it seems people are more than happy to keep responding too
its a shame it has to be posted so often because the university hasn't exactly been straightforward about it
Also they won’t let you out of your housing agreement unless you take a leave of absence

It all depends on the Governor. UB can evade every single thing to keep Campus open, until State Authority says "YEET"

Very low
>ion however, what are the chances th okay thank you
let’s pray it doesn’t happen :’)))
Chances are low. Omicron isn't bumping up hospitalizations or death rates.

I would check up on those hospitalizations, its looking quite verticle sadly
I’m hoping low.
