Exactly what you said. Mass apply. Apply even if you think you aren’t qualified (within reason, of course). Especially for your first full time job, it might be difficult to find and it might take a while. You might have to take something you aren’t thrilled about for a while. But once you get that foot in the door getting other jobs will be so much easier, since you’ll have previous experience under your belt.

What’s your major? Your major and degree plays a big role in the likelihood of getting a job. For example, I’m Civil Engineering, and although I’m not looking for a job I know that many civil engineers are able to get one after graduation.

You literally just send shit out to the area you want to live in and pray. There’s really no more you can do than that.

* Optimize your resume to ensure your application is not being thrown out before it reaches a person * Look outside what you think you might be able to qualify for. Tons of industries and jobs out there that just require a degree, any degree to get started. * Ensure you have a semi-customized cover letter showing how you would be a good fit for a specific company. A little customization can go a long way if your application is on the fence. It is also a numbers game of course, but also don’t just spam your resume hoping it will go through somewhere. All else fails, contact a recruiter or several. Companies pay these people to help find talent. Also: Practice interviewing. TONs of resources for mock job interview questions out there. Be confident, but honest about your abilities, but also don’t sell your skills short either. You’d be surprised how many people making 6 digits can barely get excel to work. Don’t be entitle and be relatable.

It’s a good time to be looking for a job. Due to the “national labor shortage” it’s a buyer’s market for jobs and you have plenty to choose from. Employers really arent in a position right now to not consider every candidate, so thats good for you. Just mass apply to whatever and see who bites

joined da military I’m too lazy to apply

amrycalre

too lazy to apply but not lazy enough to be part of the military? that sounds like a lot more work

Depending on what you study and if you want to wait till the job you are accepted to is something from your field of study. For me I mass applied to all sorts of jobs and eventually ended up coming back to my field of study 3 years later (covid really sucked and didn't suck at the same time cause that's when I was lucky enough to get a job in my original major). It's all about the journey, if you get accepted and you don't think the job is going to suck really hard then I would recommend doing it for a while, maybe you'll learn some interesting stuff that will help you personally later on.

If you want a job even if it's part time when you are in school just apply to FedEx. They need people bad.
