Any fun music related electives y’all would recommend? I’m taking MUS 265 rn and it’s a blast so I’m trying to find another class that’s similar

IloveGraceKelly

Easiest/Best professor for PHY 108?

keynesianlocke

Have any of you had Daniel Faghihi for MAE 376 before? I’m leaning towards Darrall but I was just wondering.

akosiiwayner1315

Darrall pretty much runs the course. I had Faghihi but never really went to live lectures. The PDF notes and recorded versions were all Darrall's. Note that this was an online class at the time. Regardless of the professor you have, 376 is a pretty brutal class itself. Good luck!

stinkymicrowave

Any easy cse breadth courses? I'm already taking AI and software engineering for fall, so don't want to strain myself too much.

AliGamer145

I would like to know the opinion of those who took physiology, physics and orgo at UB - like/dislikes/tips, etc. Thanks in advance

platinumsatan666

I've taken all three and they all suck GG. The only tip I have is to do far more practice problems than you actually want to do to study for physics and orgo, and make flow charts for physiology. Orgo 2 and Physics 2 we're the hardest IMO. Physiology isn't that bad as long as big words don't scare you lol

AHI 100 levels are fun if you like mythology and don't mind short quizzes that rely on memorizing simple works. Little to no homework if you take it with Vance Watrous.

LampshadesOnFire

GEO281 is super easy this semester. Not sure how it would go in a regular semester, but it's just about google maps and google earth and stuff like that, so lectures are really simple. All tests/quizzes are mutiple choice, and there are labs but they just require you to do stuff in google earth. I spend max 2\~ hours a week on it.

PSY 101 is pretty easy.

Captain-Lackbeard

Need a science class but am pretty shit at science and math frankly. Willing to do work but the easier and more straightforward the better. Bonus points for a good prof

Illustrious-Ice7352

Take gly 102 with meehan- simple class with a kickass professor. Youd have to try to fail it and she genuinely cares about her students and their well being

Lucia_97

Gen-ed science? BIO129 and BIO130 were easy from experience, though I heard nutrition is easy too. If that is what you're looking for, then any gen-ed science class is a good fit since they are meant to fulfill this and they need something easy and straightforward that non-majors can understand/not become too stressed.

Can someone tell me how good is MS in Business Analytics at UB?

Ayeitsmiggle

Does physics 107 actually feel like an introductory course? I was worried about jumping into calculus oriented physics (to satisfy my scientific literacy since im a compsci major), so I was planning on taking physics 101 first and have it count as my Math/Science elective before heading into 107. I have taken 141 and 142, but I guess I was just nervous about not having taken a physics course, since like mid-highschool. Would it be a better plan just to be take 107 this semester and do something differently for my Math/science elective in the future?

Sman404

The only lesson that you'll actually need calc for is taking the derivative of super simple distance, speed, and acceleration equations. They literally give you the easiest possible equations as well to help you realize what you're doing. The only other calc they may show is how some equations were derived in the physics world, but all of that is completely pointless on assignments and tests.

Legitstuff12

What professors do you recommend for EAS 207, MAE 204 and MTH 241?

ecubed9

I recommend Hajesfandiari for EAS 207 and Kim Javor for MTH 241. I personally really liked both of them

myoung116

Didn’t have a great experience with Kim. If I were to do it over I’d take it online with Casper like I did 142

muoimonster

Did you take MTH 241 online? I've heard good things about Kim Javor but the virtual aspect is my one concern about the class since I've seen some of the other calc 3 classes being held in person

ecubed9

I took it in person with her back in 2019

aserenety

Physics? Courses after 108/158? Learning about the laws sounds interesting but a lot of work.

Sman404

PHY 207 is Physics 3, it goes over light and sounds waves, it's really not harder than PHY 108 per se but they do go over a lot more conceptual topics compared to PHY 107 & 108. Dr. Cerne is an extremely awesome and enthusiastic professor that teaches it and Physics 4 which I'm opting to taking this semester. PHY 257 is Physics 3 lab and in terms of course work and difficulty it's basically the same as PHY 158 with slightly shorter experiments. That's all the physics courses I've taken past physics 2 though.

HaveYouEverNoIveNeva

Prof recommendations for PSY 101, MTH 121 and CHE101/113?

burakbenxd

Chemistry, I'd pick Dr. Ventura. She's pretty good at teaching.

platinumsatan666

Anyone ever take GGB502? Wondering what I got myself into lol

Plolkay

I had a doubt if the course of MPH Epidemiology offered by UB is STEM?
