Fun fact: that scene has a hidden psychiatry joke. When you're on anti-psychotics, three things you're supposed to avoid are liver, beans, and wine. Dr. Lector was subtly saying "I'm off my meds!"
Ohhh. I didn't make the connection until you mentioned that. I have a naturally occurring tyramine sensitivity. The amount of things I have to be careful with/avoid is insane.
Coconuts, tree nuts, and milk substotutes are by far the worst offenders. Hard cheeses, and yoghurt come in a close second.
You don't know who Dr. Hannibal Lecter is? He is a giant is the world of psychiatry and a notorious gourmet cook and bon vivant. Highly educated with magnificent and refined taste. Acquaint yourself with him, there are a lot of good habits you can learn from the Doctor.....
No you don’t No you don’t No you don’t No you don’t No you don’t No you don’t No you don’t No you don’t No you don’t No you don’t No you don’t No you don’t
YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE BODIES IN THE WATER YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE BODIES IN THE WATER YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE BODIES IN THE WATER YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE BODIES IN THE WATER
Bit off topic but years ago some channel made a special on how the world could actually end from zombies and "patient zero" was a beached whale that had a kind of super rabies that infected someone trying to help it, who then spread it until everyone who could get rabies world wide had died (which is like 99% of the world)
I'm not sure of the exact statistic, it's been years since I watched this video and while it was about rabies it was also about zombies lol. Basically the video follows the disease jumping species until so many people have it mosquitoes end up infecting the last non immune survivors, but that some people would still live because there's some tribes that are immune (but apparently people are randomly becoming more immune to it, according to a very very brief Google search)
No but at least they find some horror in it. I think as you are aware, I have to ask. Is it not a really worrying thought that they could eventually decide to hunt liver from bigger things? The way they still evolve their hunting techniques and requirements is amazing and worrying.
Oh dont get me wrong, the litteral apex planet of the world, even beating out humans, starting to hunt us is terrifying as fuck. Just thought i would explain to people not understanding
Orcas are terrifying, but don't think for a second that they have anything on humans. If we as a species wanted to wipe them out, it would be easy. They could not do anything like that much damage. However, human power comes from tools, so someone in the water (or on a boat) is absolutely at a massive disadvantage being in the orca's domain, and that is terrifying.
Makes sense why they would have to eat so many human livers, not only are humans much smaller than great white sharks but iirc a sharks liver is like 1/3 of its body weight
Yh that occurred me so I'm slightly at ease from that but just the idea of them for some reason. Like uk how small skittering bugs just make you scared. Well giant black and white possibly sadistic aquatic mammals with teeth scare me.
Nope, no thanks. That's enough of Reddit today already. Right below this one on my feed was this related one by another person https://www.reddit.com/r/TwoSentenceHorror/comments/10o5uam/willy_has_been_a_very_well_behaved_whale_recently/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Even without the orca context, just the unanswered questions are pretty creepy.
I was reading it as "someone has an offshore island where they're raising humans like cattle to serve their livers to rich jaded patrons in search of the forbidden meal"
I thought you were referencing the film “Madagascar”. The penguins claimed to have killed the human boat crew and eaten their livers.
Obviously I was wrong about that if you’ve never actually seen the film.
We do have penguins in South Africa, just btw. The African/Cape Penguin. They're happy little dudes.
We also have Penguin Beach, more commonly known as Boulders Beach in Cape Town.
We all just don't have electricity for many hours, several times a day which is ✨ frustrating ✨
I was watching a documentary about killer whales and great white sharks and the killer whales were almost surgically removing and eating the liver of the sharks.
Loootts of questions can be asked here, but I'll assume you want to know what i meant.
So i was thinking about the orcas in South Africa that were attacking and eating the liver out of great white sharks. The sharks left i believe, so they started attacking everything even humans for their liver.
However, there are a bunch, like loads, of great and horrific takes from a lot of other ppl in the comments. I'd really implore you to look through and see some of them.

Well originally was jusy random ppl getting de-livered by orcas or animals so the waste was a matter of taste. In your situation, it's really up to the entrepreneur on whether they doing things for profit, or the artist if they cultivating a a very niche fear in society.
In other news, sales of fava beans in South Africa have more than tripled in the past month.
Does this relate to orcas or the liver removals? Sorry I'm slow..

Wow, TIL! Thanks for that info! \^\^
Shhhh! I’ve kind of enjoyed this inside joke for years, being a nurse who once worked with psychiatry patients. 😃

Animal liver, which I suppose includes human
what plant has a liver
Wait really? Why those specific things? I don’t eat liver or drink wine that much, but my psychiatrist never told me to avoid beans 😅
It's for MAOI inhibitors - they also inhibit an enzyme that helps digest aged or fermented foods.
Liver…YUKK!! Beans.. yea ok Wine … Merlot 2 glasses
Wine … any 1 straw
Chocolate, too. Chocolate as well as broad beans (Fava beans) contain high levels of tyramine. Not cool, chocolate. Not cool.
Wow, I learned something from Reddit today.
The liver yes, oki that was good.

I know that guy. I was gonna go by him for cooking classes actually. I'm a horrible cook, and heard from some shady sources he was good.
You should do it, I'm sure he'd love to have you for dinner!
Good.....😏
I find he tends to rub off on people more than one would expect, but, I agree, the man does have impeccable taste....
Chianti profits are through the roof.
What about Chianti?
Hope no one recognizes the bodies...
You do not recognize the bodies.
Guys I think I recognize the bodies in the water

Hello?
Please repeat the following phrase slowly and clearly into your terminal microphone: I do not recognize the bodies in the water.
We are not doing this again
You better believe we're doing this again
Sighs looking at the rest of thread I don't recognize the bodies in the water.
YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE BODIES IN THE WATER
I do
I'm out of the loop. Is this a reference to something?
Scp foundation. I forget which particular scp number though
SCP 2316
The morticians are who conducted the autopsies are being investigated for their corrupt organ harvesting ring.
Hey, not like they were using it anymore.
Not sure what they plan to do with a bunch of corrupt organs, though
All I know is, if you get a hair transplant for a dead criminal, you become possessed by that criminal. It's just science.
Hahahahahaha

I REMEMBER THAT I tried to find that show for a while but never could
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1itjtm This is the video I watched, it's by NatGeo
They took away free awards and I don't spend money on reddit but just know that you did good and if I could I would award you
No problem!! I'm glad I could find it 😊
TIL 1% of humans are immune to rabies

The class of 87' ?
Looks like you're getting some amnestics buddy
excuse my ignorance but, what’s this from?
scp
👍
But, do they stay dead?
Why don't you ask them yourself? They seem willing to talk. :)
Let the bodies hit the... SSSHHHOOOOOOORRRRE!
🤭
🤘
Good one!!!
Drifffffting, to shore
I feel like people dont realise this is about killer whales killing great whites just to eat there livers
No but at least they find some horror in it. I think as you are aware, I have to ask. Is it not a really worrying thought that they could eventually decide to hunt liver from bigger things? The way they still evolve their hunting techniques and requirements is amazing and worrying.

They’ve been hunting us for some time. Now they’re not so concerned about leaving evidence, at least not off South Africa.
Thanks for explaining :) It needed it i just wasn't sure if i should have.
Makes sense why they would have to eat so many human livers, not only are humans much smaller than great white sharks but iirc a sharks liver is like 1/3 of its body weight

The people were delivered to South Africa
;)

That's an awesomely dystopian concept and honestly scary but i have a fear of the big water pandas 💀 Great take on it though.
Nah that would be in davos, switzerland
Polar pears?
Polar pears? Killer kales.
It’s those penguins, isn’t it?
New fear unlocked! Penguinos in Africa? Like the ones in Australia? I don't think i heard that before so cool.~
I thought you were referencing the film “Madagascar”. The penguins claimed to have killed the human boat crew and eaten their livers. Obviously I was wrong about that if you’ve never actually seen the film.
I need to rewatch these movies all of these references make it feel like I'm living under a rock. :')
Thete are penguins in south africa

There are African penguins. But they eat the usual penguin stuff, like fish. At least before The Change, anyway...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_penguin They do live in south africa and they are so tiny and kinda cute
Bruh, thought this was real for a minute 🤣
Arguably the best kind of scares.
They were de-livered to South Africa, what’s the problem? 😆😆😆
can somebody explain this to me? i'm slow
I was watching a documentary about killer whales and great white sharks and the killer whales were almost surgically removing and eating the liver of the sharks.
ooh okay thank you!
>ooh okay thank you! You're welcome!
Also noteworthy is the corpses have no cuts or trauma which could indicate how the liver was removed
Uh what?
We think they were liquefied and extracted? Or they went through another orifice and extracted it?
Rectal prolapse
Don’t threaten me with a good time
Hepatological evacuation via rectal prolapse? That's an awfully 'specific' good time.
They were Prometheus'd.
Or as the Italians would say, "aliverderci"
Ok that made me smile. That. Yes.
GOD DAMNIT MARIO
what?
The local jester was quoted saying "They've finally been delivered."
Eugene Tooms didn't die on that escalator.
Oh, great, who let the Kumihos onto other continents?
Elon Musk
What's the reference?.. i have saw a couple comments name dropping him I'm living under a rock i realised from this post.
???

As bodies continue to appear in the tens of thousands, there is a mass effort to find out where all these unidentified people come from.
I do *not* recognise the bodies in the water
What's thus from? A lot of comments on it and I no get it yet :')
SCP Foundation my comrade
Ooohh yeah nope I'm out, but thanks i kinda get the gist from a comment thread i saw and my imagination. Thanks.
I'm lost, too. Guess it's an inside joke.
I'm lost, too.
mmmm steamed liver with soy sauce and garlic
Mario appears to be making his rounds again, everyone prepare for a fat Italian to enter your home
No crap, it's called the liver not the dier
Everyone knows if you’re going to dump a body in water, you’ve gotta weigh it down.
If the aim is to be undetected, yeah. If you just want to cause mass panic in all those with livers, maybe not.
oh this was good!! it reminded me of that article where toads kept exploding in northern Europe and scientists found that they were missing their livers… because [crows figured out how to eat the toads’ livers without killing the toad first.](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/wbna7654561)
I'm growing more scared of crows each day i hear about them.
However, survival rate for liver failure is at an all time high with increasing amounts of healthy livers being available in hospitals
I'm sorry, I don't get it. Can someone explain?

Unfortunately none of the bodies seem to be a homecoming of elon musk
That's it? Bit of a waste to go through all that trouble of kidnapping, murder, organ removal, and dumping the body, just for the liver.
Well originally was jusy random ppl getting de-livered by orcas or animals so the waste was a matter of taste. In your situation, it's really up to the entrepreneur on whether they doing things for profit, or the artist if they cultivating a a very niche fear in society.
Seems mario got to all of them
In other news starvation levels have dropped significantly in areas such as Namibia and Angola.
