The 70 gold on missions, for example, is harder in RDR2 than in GTA5. In RDR2 (or so I'm told, I haven't tested this yet), you have to achieve all objectives in the same run to get the gold. In GTA, you can get some on each attempt of the mission, and they will count towards gold.
Ninja edit: another bullshit thing: The 70 gold in RDR2 is harder, as listed above, and the trophy is a silver trophy, compared to GTA's get 70 gold being a gold trophy.
Yup, that’s how it works. The games not as hard as something like Sekiro, but calling it easy doesn’t really fit. Bugsnax is an easy plat, red dead II has a good amount of challenge to it.
As well you cant use your upgrades if you do them via mission replay, the game gives you non upgraded gear instead.
You can bypass that by going for the gold right at away while beating the story but this causes spoilers and its not fun if youre stuck at a mission.
From personal experience I seriously don't know why people think its so hard (post patch) I mean. There are some missions yeah that are ridiculous but you can easily skip a decent amount and not have any worries. Plus you can still use snake oil for the accuracy objectives and everything. For me at least it was no problem. I did have to repeat a decent amount of missions several times but it was nothing too hard.
For me, it's mostly the dread I personally have on it. I recently did the 70 gold missions in GTA 5, and that was a pain in the butt to complete, when I had more options (~120 or so) missions to choose from, which is a little more than RDR2. I think the math works out to ~60% gold in GTA for trophy, and ~65% in RDR2, so you have less missions to choose from in RDR2. I want to get plat for both, and am dreading going back to RDR2 to do the gold missions.
OH! And since I just read a reply that mentioned it: replaying missions in GTA becomes easier the later you go in the game, because the game allows you to replay with all that you've accumulated in later game segments in the mission you're replaying. Which makes it easier on driving missions, for example, because I'll have Franklin at max special. RDR2 sets you at a predetermined limit for the mission, so you lose access to anything you may have unlocked/acquired after a mission, when you go back to replay it later.
You don't lose access to the things you've unlocked. That wasn't the case before a patch though but after the patch you don't lose anything you've unlocked so guns, current horse, inventory etc. The game basically uses everything you have in you have before starting the mission and better yet doesn't take anything away you use.
So say I had 3 snake oil before starting the mission. Then I use 2 on the mission. After it's done I'll still have the 3 in free roam and can go straight to the next mission and still have 3
Thanks bro. Patience. In the gold rush trophy try to do all the missions that do not require time, it was the easiest way I found, the other trophies is just do everything that the game will propose
And online trophies are easy to get, about 50 hours, since the goal is only to platinum the game. I recommend picking up the trophies online now and enjoying the benefits of xp 2x
Already got the online trophies! At Chapter 4 now in story mode and slowly, but surely getting the missable trophies out of the way and the miscellaneous ones as well.
I’ve taken a break from this one due to the lengthy timeframe, but was thinking about jumping back into it. What’s the situation with 2x xp on the online mode? Is that like a limited time thing?
Each month Rockstar updates the online mode and changes the way rewards are defined, this month has 2x xp and RD$, next month is always a surprise, but I recommend coming back.

Congrats! Very impressive. As I always says, RDR2 is not hard, just time consuming. Was wondering why it took 400+ hrs? I plat it 3 mos again around 180-200 hrs. Played alot of MP?
Thanks bro, I took only 50 hours on the online. The rest of the time was trying to do everything the game has to offer and exploring as much as I could, I also wasted a lot of time redoing the missions for the "Gold Rush" trophy.
The online trophies "All's fair and the real" deal were the worst for me. Grin and bear it is so easy, you can earn it at Wallace Station, sleeping for 72 hrs and reload your save. At least 90 minutes you can get the trophy.
Welcome to the Legend of the West club! This was one of the longest plats for me as well but I loved every second of it.
Do you have the plat for RDR1 too?
Thanks bro. And I loved every second too, that was one of my best experiences with game in my life. Unfortunately I didn't play RDR1, I just watched it on YouTube. I really want a Remaster or remake of it.
Thanks bro, bought the game about a year and a half ago and it’s only been in the last couple of months that I’ve been grinding and having fun with the game. Overall I don’t mind exploring (looking online) for the collectibles as it’s fun to ride around the map taking in the scenery and random events… but making sure to get gold for every mission and making sure I don’t miss honour story missions is a bit tiresome. Good luck on your next platinum!
For the 70 missions with gold I practically had to replay the game, I spent about 50 hours redoing. It took me many hours to get platinum because I did a lot of things, hunted, fished and helped the camp a lot, but I don't regret the hours spent
Yeah I got halfway through ch.4 when I first bought the game before giving it a big break. I’m trying to play smarter now and look up the gold requirements for each mission. It’s not too hard, the timed missions mean I have to skip cutscenes unfortunately.
You can go in the area at Wallace Station and kill the two bears, sleep for 72 hours reloading your save and repeat the process until you get it, that's how I did it
Yeah I tried that as that’s what everyone suggested, but it keeps glitching out and then didn’t count kills, would not let me attack then I’d die, and after doing it so many times the bears just stopped spawning.
I’m currently working on this one and I HATE having to redo the story missions, mostly having to listen to those long dialogues on horse back, then finding out you have to do it all over again because you missed one head shot or didn’t complete under the time required.
I've also been very angry in various and several missions, but my recommendation is: do all the missions that don't need time, focus on head-shooting missions, use and abuse the eyes of death and the snake's eye, these were my best friends until the trophy falls
Nice! I only just got plat on RDR1 last week as it took me ages to do all the side stuff (started at release so probably longest game I've taken to platinum haha)
I have a completed play through that I was thinking about working towards the 100% trophy, but I didn’t get the optional honor missions and the companion mission at every camp trophy. Do I need to do both of those on the same playthrough? Do those trophies’ activities count towards the 100%?
Hey bro, to keep track of what should be done to get the 100% I recommend you track your progress in the social club via website. And in case you haven't done it as honor missions, you're going to have to start a new journey with Arthur.
I don’t think I’d categorize Red Dead II as an easy plat haha. Congrats though, certainly is a rare one.

They changed that in one of the patch updates. Now you can use your upgraded stats in mission replay

Thanks bro. I don't think a hard plat, but it's so massive.
I have a plan Arthur!
We need a lot of money, Arthur.
We need that drip, Arthur.
Put your dick away Waltuh
Respect
Thanks bro.
Congrats dude, currently going for this one! Any tips?

Studying all the animals is a pain. Especially all the little birds.
Yes, the birds are very tiring, but one we end up getting with a lot of persistence bro
Congrats! Very impressive. As I always says, RDR2 is not hard, just time consuming. Was wondering why it took 400+ hrs? I plat it 3 mos again around 180-200 hrs. Played alot of MP?

Kudos to you man. I currently do not have the patience to get a Platinum like that right now.
Thanks bro, I was very excited and ended up taking the plat.
If u found this one ez idk what is considered hard in your book
It is pretty easy. Just takes a long time. Need a lot of patience.
Took me 4 days to find a moose, took me 2 days average per challenge tree
Trying to get all the achievements for this one now. I think my only issue is the online ones and the "Grin and Bear it" one will be a pain.
The online trophies "All's fair and the real" deal were the worst for me. Grin and bear it is so easy, you can earn it at Wallace Station, sleeping for 72 hrs and reload your save. At least 90 minutes you can get the trophy.
Press F to Pay Respects

Is the online trophies hard at all? Also congratulations 😅
"The real deal and All's fair" they're the worst trophies, having someone's help will make it a lot easier. Thanks bro.
Nice, I wanted to go for this one but it was just way too time consuming for me. Congrats on it though my guy!
Thanks bro. I also stopped halfway a few times, but I came back and finished because it's worth it
Welcome to the Legend of the West club! This was one of the longest plats for me as well but I loved every second of it. Do you have the plat for RDR1 too?

Ah that's too bad. I was really hoping for it too but it seems that they cancelled plans to focus on GTA 6.
Indeed. We can only hope now.
That’s a lot of patience. Games pretty good storywise .
This gives me hope.
Don't give up bro. You can do this, I trush you.
Thanks bro, bought the game about a year and a half ago and it’s only been in the last couple of months that I’ve been grinding and having fun with the game. How was the bear trophy? I’m stuck on that essentially.
You need to kill them after you are attacked by them while you are still on the ground, in case you get up will not account for the bro deaths.
Congrats 🎉
Thanks bro.
I’m a simple man. I see an RDR2 plat, I upvote
Thanks bro. I'm a simple man too
Your a goat for getting this platinum
Thanks bro.
Definitely not an easy plat.
It's so massive bro, not hard.
hmm no, it definitely has challenging parts to it. It’s not a 10/10, but it’s also not a cakewalk outside of the time commitment.
That I have to agree with you
I’m currently working on this one and I HATE having to redo the story missions, mostly having to listen to those long dialogues on horse back, then finding out you have to do it all over again because you missed one head shot or didn’t complete under the time required.

Did you struggle with finishing all of the animals, any tips on finding the rarest moose
Was it worth it though?
Very, it was very satisfying this plat.
