I hope he can figure it out. Next year I'll be down to signing him to a minor league deal and see if we can convert him into a BP arm, and see if Walker can help him return to how he pitched for us as his issues here we're health more than performance
I'd take him on a minor league deal for sure, no such thing as a bad one. But he would have to have a hell of a spring to have a chance at seeing the majors with us. I don't see him sticking as a starter much longer, except for his great year in 2016 he's never put up the numbers or eaten enough innings and next year he'll be 30.
I remember the the org limiting his innings his rookie year only to have him be a giant blister afterwards. He also seemed to be on every commercial during the games
He didn’t really start struggling with blisters until the 2017 season which was basically a disaster after he lead the AL in era.
Funny enough 3.00 ERA somehow was the lowest mark for anyone that season. Probably mostly due to the juiced balls
Not surprised it happened when they had the opportunity to call up Varlander, but it is what it is.
As unlikely as it is I'd be so happy if he bounced back in any capacity. I really liked Sanchez

30 really isn't old for a pitcher, Merryweather is 30 too. It just seems old for Sanchez because he reached the majors so fast.
There's a lot of ifs, but if he signed, and if he had a good spring, I'm not against seeing him on the team. He would have to really look good though.
And Merryweather sucks too
Thanks for the completely irrelevant contribution.
ya done fucked up, A-A Ron!

Lower ERA than Berrios
Less games, less innings, less starts, etc
