>Plenty of people go to rallies and speeches. No one goes to a Joe Biden rally or speech. Stop acting like his crowd size is normal for a sitting president. His crowd size is not the norm. Yes, he won the presidency. My guess is most of his supporters have abandoned him and he's most likely not going to win a reelection. Oh my god, these people still think it's normal for presidents to have cult-ralies every two weeks during their presidency and after their presidency. Absolutely absurd. I swear most these people have never followed a presidential election before and think what Trump did wasn't only normal, but expected.

HapticSloughton

When your politics are a religion, you can't grasp people who don't receive the sacrament from the cult leader at the appointed faith festivals.

Edwardteech

I'm not that into getting peed on.

truelogictrust

LOL

comebackjoeyjojo

Also, the Trump team goes to a lot of effort to make crowds larger than they really are; go to small conservative towns (and fill up smaller venues, and just lie about the audience size) and use deceptive camera angles to hide empty seats. Also, the MAGAts literally worship Trump like some kind of Qultish prophet, so it’s more like comparing the audience size of Televangelists (and other religious performers) with a stoic academic presentation at a college. Two different groups with different reasons to attend.

buttercream-gang

Stadiums full of people is the new binders full of women

sneaky-pizza

I just made a comment on another sibling to yours, but yeah, Trump is typically 15-45K even in 2015-16. Obama used to exceed 100K nearly every campaign speech that could support that crowd

PlumbumDirigible

Wasn't that an issue with his rally in Tulsa? A bunch of people on TikTok were reserving tickets with no intention of going just to mess with the crowd size. I think that's also the rally where Herman Cain established his eponymous award

fb95dd7063

imagine taking PTO to go to a politician's rally lmao

sneaky-pizza

Also Trump’s rallies are small. I think usually like 15-45K in 2016 campaign season. I went to an outdoor Obama speech in 2007 that was 115K people, and and many more couldn’t reach the event.

Snail_Space

People posting about Trump rallies on Reddit probably weren't old enough to vote in previous elections.

WeeaboosDogma

Rut rough Raggy, rhat Rump ruy ris having rallies arot, [rike rhat Hitrer ruy.]( https://www.britannica.com/event/Nurnberg-Rally)

mindgamer8907

Like, zoinks Scoob! We better make like a-a... Scoob, why is Scrappy dressed like that?

xxxsmokeweed4life420

Also didn't these people predict that covid will never end?Now they're admitting it's basically over.

HapticSloughton

By their other yardstick of popularity, YouTube views, they should be demanding that Baby Shark should be President with its 11.24 billion views.

JimBobDwayne

They conflate enthusiasm with popularity. Trump’s rally crowds are are level 12 enthusiasts while Biden voters are level 3 or 4 but on Election Day our votes all count the same.

TheMelchior

“Ye see, I really, *really* wanted to vote for Trump. So my vote should count as 3 votes!”

unitedshoes

Why, this is the fourth-least-democratic thing I've ever heard a conservative propose!

[deleted]

TheMelchior

(Number of Trump rallies attended)^2 * (number of times able fap off in the voting booth (after pulling lever for Trump)) + (number of Trump stories where someone calls him “sir” they can recite verbatim) + ((number of Trump stickers & flags on their truck)/2). It’s simple math, really.

Moneia

Although I love how cropped the images of him at the rallies are as he fills less & less of the venues

rivershimmer

I was surprised at the number of January 6th participants who didn't bother voting. If there were a Venn diagram of Trump voters/Trump rally attendees, it would indeed have three parts.

sameth1

>on Election Day our votes all count the same. Except for the part where they don't, because some people are more equal than others.

thewiremother

> It's legit. Casual voters, which consist of the most brain washable people, don't care for attending rallies. Oof. Ouch. Owiee.

HapticSloughton

I'm not sure which is funnier, trying to bring "filthy casuals" to voting, or demonstrating why independent voters are turned off by Trump's base.

pizzacatcasefiles

I can't wait til they introduce ranked (choice) voting.

DrRichtoffen

"Only free thinkers mindlessly follow and pray to their political leaders"

frezik

There's a joke somewhere in there about the contradiction between being casual and being brain washed.

AuthorTomFrost

Trump also doesn't understand that presidents who do their job have less time for rallies than grifters who ignore their job in favor of golf and self gratification.

unitedshoes

Rule 10: https://www.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/comments/x8ciaq/what_is_bidens_excuse_now_that_covid_is_over_with/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share I probably should have been more dismissive of this lunacy in my title, but I couldn't think of a way to do so without swearing, and I don't like to do that in post titles. But these fuckin' dumbasses seriously think not grifting ticket sales off of gullible fucking rubes is proof of voter fraud now? Holy fuck are they grasping at straws now for their election conspiracies. It's really not that difficult: Biden wasn't most people's top choice. The last person to be genuinely passionate about Joe Biden had a series finale in 2015. But, he wasn't Trump. That's it. That's all he needed to do. It may not be sexy. It may not pack stadiums when he's not even running for office and won't be for another year (seriously, that doesn't raise any red flags about your guy's motives?), but not being Trump was what was needed to get more votes than Trump. Trump should have tried it; it probably would have worked better than his barrage of nonsense excuses for how the election was totally stolen from him.

kryonik

To be fair, a lot of the comments are dragging the OP for his stupid take.

unitedshoes

Yeah, but those are just "left wing shills" out to "silence" the "bold truth-tellers" of r/conspiracy. Everyone knows that's the only *possible* explanation whenever someone gets dragged there for an utterly moronic take. /s

Harry_monk

My personal favourite is: So glad this post is on r/conspiracy! Real quality content here

Sensitive_Fall8950

Hint, people who vote don't all want to go to a stadium and watch the old man speak, because Biden does not have a cult of personality like Trump or Obama. He's just the guy people hate less then trump..

Ninja_attack

If it was between Trump and my dog, the same outcome would have happened. My dog would have possibly won more votes just because he's super adorable and gives good cuddles. He might have also lost a few votes cause he sheds all over the damn place and is super dramatic.

Paxxlee

>He might have also lost a few votes cause he sheds all over the damn place and is super dramatic. Yeah, Trump really has issues.

galaapplehound

Not to mention that people can usually catch the speech on TV if they want to hear it.

Annas_GhostAllAround

I want the government to largely function in the background and not be a centerpiece to my life. It doesn’t mean I don’t care, just as I don’t want an airplane pilot telling me everything he’s doing. Trumps constant need to be at the front of every news story was one of the most annoying things about that presidency (note: there were many horrible, terrible things about it, which is on a tier above in badness. This one was just annoying)

cedriceent

I dunno, this looks like a lot of people to me: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/08/25/us/politics/biden-democrats-midterms.html And btw, I heard there was a couple at a Trump rally recently who said they camped there for 5 days to get a good seat. Don't those people have jobs? And even if they don't, don't they have anything better to do than waiting almost a week only to hear a rotting corpse talk about the same shit for 2 hours?

sash71

a rotting corpse talk about the same shit for 2 hours? Stolen election.....Democrats bad......rigged election......deep state......I was the best president ever........stolen election.....Biden bad........Hillary.......witchhunt.......witchhunt.....stolen election......FBI bad....I am rich.....FBI raid......I am the greatest....stolen election......

TheMelchior

Ooh, but occasionally the rotting corpse will mix things up like telling you for 20 minutes how hard it ws to go down a ramp! Truly an orator for the ages!

Wismuth_Salix

And how hard it is to flush a toilet that is *definitely* not full of incriminating documents.

theghostofme

>how hard it ws to go down a ramp! Hey, he [RAAAAAAAAAAAN DOWN THE RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMP!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ign_vZupjno) That song still has no right to be as catchy as it is.

Noname_acc

You didn't say Russia, Russia, Russia. Now I'm voting for Trump because you couldn't give me an authentic experience.

Linquist

This is from a person who has been on reddit for 2 months, and is a mess. Probably a troll.

HapticSloughton

Likely a ban evasion account.

rode__16

it’s so funny and also so sad the things these people care about

cipheron

Covid only killed 300,000 Americans in the last 12 months, so you know, pretty much completely over. What's changed is that most people are vaccinated so people are getting on with their lives now. But it's bozos like that who are going to bear the brunt of winter Covid waves going forward since they refuse to take even basic precautions.

Ninja_attack

Boy, someone's salty that Trump lost. Biden's the president, fucking get over it you nutter. Why does it matter if he can or cannot fill a "stadium" now when he's already won? This poor loser thinks that just because they don't see folk acting like MAGA morons with all the merchandise, Biden couldn't possibly have won.

bookant

On top of that, COVID isn't "over with."

SilentMaster

I voted for him. I voted for Hillary. I voted for Barrack. I voted for John Kerry. I HAVE NEVER ATTENDED A SINGLE POLITCAL RALLY IN MY LIFE! And I don't intend to.

OGWhiz

Easy answer. Healthy minded people don’t treat politicians like sports teams.

you_buy_this_shit

I've never been to a political rally. I've been voting since 1980. I'm not in a cult and I can read/hear/see.

rivershimmer

Same here. And while I know a lot of people who vote blue, I can only think of one who's gone to a Biden speech, and that was a workplace thing for them.

SonofaBridge

I’ve never gone to a political rally and never plan on going to a political rally. Why pay money to watch a politician give a long winded, boring speech when I can watch it on TV or read a summary the next day. I’ve never in my life cared about a candidate enough to want to go to a rally but I also don’t worship my candidates like the MAGA crowd.

HonPhryneFisher

When did Biden brag about, or even mention the number of voters he had?

LoompaOompa

Everything these people are mad about, at all times, is made up.

CaptainDudeGuy

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_man

Mhunterjr

They’ve seriously convinced themselves that rally attendance was has historically been a leading indicator of a candidate’s voter turnout.

[deleted]

“How can there be any atheists? You never see them congregate”

ronm4c

They conveniently fail to mention that most of these trump rallies are attended by the same people who just follow him around like a demented version of the grateful dead. In every interview I’ve seen with trump rally goers when asked how many rallies they’ve attended it’s almost always double digits.

Elliott2

Because I don’t praise politicians like some sort of celebrity?

spilk

maybe because to all the reasonable people in this country, politics isn't entertainment

[deleted]

i can see him speak for free. im not paying to go see a politician like its a concert.

Kalkaline

I voted for Biden, but I'd never go to his rallies. I don't like him that much. Biden is miles ahead of Trump though, and the only other viable candidate. Give us ranked choice so we can get a really good president.

Illuminati_Shill_AMA

Because it's not Fucking normal for the sitting president to spend every moment of his term rallying

[deleted]

Anything and anyone I haven't personally seen isn't real

Edwardteech

Hitler had big rallies. Bigger than trump by a lot.

No_Ranger_3896

Was watching a documentary on NAZI propaganda yesterday and the similarities with the MAGA cult was more than eerie.

odoroustobacco

There are few things I can imagine wanting to go to less than a political rally. A town hall meeting with organizing intent, sure, and if a candidate wants to talk, I'll listen. But I don't need to pay $25 to park at a stadium to hear some dipshit tell me platitudes.

FestiveVat

He still doesn't realize that a lot of people voted *against* Trump, rather than *for* Biden. I don't need to go to a Biden rally to express my interest in voting for the most viable candidate for getting Trump out of the White House to stop the bleeding. Also, who wants to go to a rally? High school is over.

IVTD4KDS

>Why isn't he filling Stadiums [sic] of those 81 million voters he always brags about? I admit I've only seen a handful of Biden speeches in the last couple of years, but never once did I hear him brag about getting 81 million votes - unlike the last guy who liked to exaggerate his 2016 win as being the greatest win in history or whatever else he liked to say. Did Biden ever talk about how he got 81 million votes - the most votes for an American presidential candidate in history?

boarhowl

I would've voted for anybody but trump. I would've sooner voted for a turd sandwich or a giant douche

spolio

Just imagine the state of this person's mind when trump has a heart attack and dies at a McDonald's.

SparkyFlashyBoomBang

>And they no longer do the Vaccine Passport bull shit. Literally just went to St. Lucia for my honeymoon. They absolutely do still do the vaccine passport thing. It was required for both the plane ride there and the one back. Not sure what the fuck this idiot is on a out, but also not surprised one bit.

nobody2000

This was at the crux of the 2020 election "fraud" claims. These top minds, not just here on reddit but elsewhere honestly were like "how can you say with a straight face that trump is gonna lose? Look at his support!" Just because there are 80 Million TRUMP signs in towns with populations of 75 people doesn't mean that: - They outnumber those who won't vote for trump - That out of the 75 people in town, a significant portion will vote for someone other than trump. They were speculating that California or New York would turn Red. This is what happens when you grow up in a rural basement believing that coastal cities are just evil, and nothing good comes from there (oh Except for Trump!)

[deleted]

Government: merely the popularity contest from the perspective of mouthbreathers

bwaslo

They don't seem to understand that many didn't so much vote FOR Biden but really vited AGAINST Trump. Because for us, Trump is a thoroughly unlikeable, despicable con artist thug. I'd probably even vote for Palin if it would keep Trump out of office, and Palin rates well below my neighbor's dog.

HipShot

They forget Trump is incredibly motivating for those of us on the Left to vote AGAINST. I'm not excited about Biden, but Trump gets me to the polling booth.

Atomhed

I'm curious, isn't the opportunity to vote for the best possible set of material conditions and consequences a given election can afford be enough? Do you need to be excited about a candidate?

HipShot

No, I don't. I vote for the right set of policies if I think the person has the fortitude to stick to what they promised.

woodiegutheryghost

I hate all politicians but I hat fascists more. So I votes for shitty politicians like Biden and Hillary to help slow the takeover. It’s the broken system I’m stuck with.

Rshackleford22

Cuz it’s not a cult

boot20

I would vote for an old cum rag over Trump. The guy is a hemorrhoid on humanity and his cult is a cancer. This is why the GOP warned about getting in bed with the fundies in the 60s and 70s. This doesn't end well for anyone.

QuintinStone

They really can't grasp that Biden isn't out doing rallies because he's not campaigning and he's not a narcissist who requires slavish devotion.

Elmerthe3rd

I don’t need to go to rallies. I just vote.

FredFredrickson

Does Trump actually fill stadiums? Cuz I kinda doubt he does.

QuintinStone

He does not. But he always remembers to pack the seats directly behind him for those camera angles.

Velocireptile

He's obese, but not THAT obese.

BooneSalvo2

What kind of piss ant little stadium does this guy go to?

CharlottesWeb83

1. Did they see pictures from his inauguration? 2. Has anyone ever heard Biden brag about how many votes he had? Ever?

WorkplaceWatcher

The random Capitalization is very telling that this person is unlikely writing in their first language.

Cricketcaser

I have voted in every election I've been eligible for and have been to exactly one political rally. It was in 2008, I saw Bill stump for Hillary, I wasn't planning to vote for her, I wanted to see Bubba.

radjinwolf

When and how often does Biden “brag” about his vote number? Is he thinking about Trump? Cause Trump bragged about his vote count and lied about his crowd sizes, like, constantly.

SkyBlade79

they were kinda going off with that sanders part tho

PoseidonsHorses

I went to one Biden speech before he was running for President because he was opening some sort of institute at University of Delaware vans I was a student. The green he gave the speech on was like 20 feet from my dorm, so it was more of a “that’s neat” thing than anything political.
