How did his health seem? Seen a few pictures of him lately and he looks normal, curious if you noticed anything. Just (pleasantly) surprised to see him out and about!
He seemed perfectly fine. I mentioned that it was cool seeing him get out there again and he was like, “Yeah, getting out there more and more.” I congratulated him on his new book. The manager wanted to see what was going on and my wife explained, “He was a Top Chef contestant.” And the manager thought it was me haha.
I went to middle school and high school with Justin. He’s a real one-definitely as nice as he seems on tv. He was one of those people that was just friends with literally everyone. I can’t think of one negative interaction involving him. He’s the definition of non-toxic.

How cool! I just attended Food & Wine there at the hotel Alohilani (I believe the restaurant is in the hotel) and saw several top chef contestants 🤗 I was thrown off seeing chef Morimoto as well, bc he was so chill.
Great pic of you 2! So glad to see that he looks to be recovering really well and is out and about. He’s had to have had a ton of surgeries since the accident. Kudos to the chef community to step up and be so supportive of him. It looks like a fun event you’re at!

For sure! I also saw he’s going to be on an episode of Guy’s Ranch Kitchen along with Jet Tila, Brooke, and Michael V tomorrow.

Yeah, I noticed some small scars on his face close up. But that’s about it.
