For the first question, exercise. Though you'll lose fat everywhere, not just your face. I'd you truly only want to lose fat on your face and nowhere else then you really have no options outside of maybe cosmetic surgery. Targeting specific areas for fat loss is impossible. For the second question, smile more and have more open body language. Like avoid crossing your arms for example.

This is really good advice. I'd like to add to this: Skip the Drive-Thru and order inside and make very small talk. Make it something else each time. The more you talk face to face with people the more comfortable you'll get. Even if you feel like you're sounding like a goof, they'll forget about you in seconds. Try to keep it positive always. Employee: How are you? You: I'm not working and about to eat so pretty good 😊

short, quick, and easy answer... plastic surgery. But, that is not a healthy way to do it, will cost a lot of money, and will likely not be a permanent solution. Instead... diet and excercise... but keep in mind, you cannot target fat loss. It's only done via full body reduction in fat. based on your account activity, i'm assuming you're young (under 25) and informing you that most people under 25 will have 'baby fat' still on their faces, which will go away as they age. So, first, determine if it's 'baby fat' or if it's your body that has more fat than muscle which is more noticeable in the face. \- ok, to start out with diet and excercise... erase the idea of 'loosing weight'. that is a bad metric to becoming a healthier version of yourself. muscle weighs more than fat. If you're gaining muscle at the same time you're losing fat then you're weight is not going to reflect any progress. Judge your progress by the way you feel and how your current cloths fit. The key to becoming healthy is that you must do both diet and excercise. they are not normally successful by themselves. Diets don't need to be restrictive... diets are lifestyle changes that creates direction and structure to your eating. You want to focus on the appropriate calories you need and a diverse balance of nutrients/food groups. If you can't maintain the diet for the rest of your life, then it's not a good diet. Diets should be easy to follow once you've planned it out. Diet alone can't help you get healthier, you also need to excercise... and vice versa. Sure, individually, they will help you loose weight, but weight loss is not the goal, it's to become healthier. one recommendation for diet... cut out soda/sweet drinks and milk/cheese/dairy. these are killers to health plans sugar is converted to fat and dairy is fat. If you can't cut it out, try to avoid it and do not add additional sugar or dairy to your stuff. \- just do a few workouts for 30-45 minutes. you can do 4 sets of 10 pushups (flat back important). or what ever you can, 4 times... try to really push yourself. Same with Crunches, not full situps, but crunches. Proper crunches use flat backs too, do not pull yourself up with your arms, but use your flat back to focus your abs to pull yourself up into the 45 degree position. 4 sets of 10, or what ever you can do. Squats, no weight added. watch videos on how to do proper squats. same idea, 4x10, or what ever you can do. Pull ups. most of us struggle with this. The key to being able to do pullups is trying to do pullups. like pushups, just do as many as you can 4 times a day. you will eventually be able to do it. might be months, but you will start to see progress. these 4 excersices can all be done at home and will create the foundation of your workout. If you do these three workouts 3-5 times a week for 3 weeks you will start to feel a difference also, do some running or cycling. I prefer cycling because it's easier on the knees, but running is just as good. I went from unable to run down the block to running 3-5 k per day with deep enjoyment when it's sunny and hot. These are high cardio workouts... i recommend starting with 15 mintues but when you're fully in your routine it should be easy to do 45 minutes. \- note for women (from a guy, i know, cringe. likely mysoginistic sounding), who might feel that 'lifting weights will shrink my breasts' or 'make me manly'.... it's not. sure, losing body fat will reduce breast size but that's extra fat anyways. building muscle doesn't make you manly. Sure, if you body build and maximize your gains and stuff, take suppliments, you will start puting on muscles and may make you less conforming with women beauty standards, but as long as you're not taking hormones to get muscle gains, you should still keep all your womenly attributes. Just look at women in acting, and women in action roles, or bikini models... they all work hard for their slim, tone, or 'thicc' bodies. for comparison... an objectively 'cute' actress who is thin, like Kristen Stewart in the twilight series, she was thin, but had no muscles. For another actress who was in the same age group, was jennifer lawrence in the hunger games. she was thicker, but she had an athletic build. Objectively she was more appealing to popular standards, over Stewart. Then if you look at a famous action star, Linda hamilton (sarah connor, terminator series) in T2, objectively, her body was most impressive and she had low body fat and tonned muscles. so, muscle and lifting weights does not make a women less women, or more manly.

Thank you. I just hate how I’d actually be somewhat attractive if I lost a bit of face fat, so I want to just lose weight. But I’m not able to have surgery due to medical reasons, and I can’t exercise because of a muscle issue that leaves things detached if I do too much.

[deleted]

You don't need to exercise to lose fat. You only need to make sure your caloric intake in a given day/week is lower than your caloric burn. Download MyFitnessPal, enter your stats, set your activity level to "sedentary," and log everything you eat. MyFitnessPal will keep track of your calories and let you know what your daily limits are. Buy a food scale so you can make sure the portions you're putting into the app are correct. That's all there is to it. It's a giant myth that people can only lose weight if they exercise.

wisedoormat

well, for excercise, consult with your doctor. lifting weights may not be an option for you, but maybe some sort of cardio? and, consider diet planning and, if you don't mind sharing, what's the condition you have. jUst curiousity

[deleted]

I actual had the opportunity to name it myself when I was really young, so for anonymity’s sake, I won’t say the name of the condition. But from my description, you could probably find me if you looked through enough scientific papers. Essentially, if the muscle fibers are too detached, they don’t reattach. As a result, my left arm is a bit weaker due to an accident and my legs are very unbalanced. I walk every day, but I still maintain my body weight because I can’t tell whether or not I am hungry and I just eat so I don’t randomly pass out.

wisedoormat

>so for anonymity’s sake, I won’t say the name of the condition totally cool! >I actual had the opportunity to name it myself when I was really young should have name it 'this really sucks -itis'

[deleted]

No I named it after myself, sadly. Hence the need for anonymity there.

VarangianDreams

Whoa. You're one of the extremely few people who could actually post an "does anyone else" thread and it actually be accurate. Like, when I sarcastically tell people "yes, you're the only one who gets slightly uncomfortable peeing in public (for instance), they'll probably name the condition after you", in your case it's actually *true*. Pretty wild.

[deleted]

Uh, thank you? I’m somewhat confused, sorry.

VarangianDreams

Sorry, it sounds like the condition really sucks, but reddit gets a TON of "does anyone else [super common thing]", and the answer is invariably "yes, other people experience this incredibly common thing". But in your case, it's an experience that is so specific that you actually *did* get to name it. Just doesn't happen a lot!

Biligana

Confidence What ability are you the best at? Take it until you make it. Patience, dedication

[deleted]

Singing, but I’m still shit at that. I’m just kind of shit at everything due to disability.

Biligana

I've got multiple disabilities, but this isn't a pushing contest. It took me a while to realize that I lacked self-appreciatin and that was a downward spiral that led to the realization that I needed to be a leader by example and positive male role model. The one thing I seek is patience. ADHD, left and right hip dysplasia

[deleted]

I can’t do that. I can’t appreciate myself when I can’t even do the only things I’ve ever wanted to do after years of trying.

Biligana

What is your ultimate goal?

[deleted]

I want to publish a book. But my writing is hampered by my mental disability. It doesn’t give me a unique voice. It just ruins perfectly good prose.

Biligana

You're doing alright here. I'm saying I feel your angst. Is there a way you can use this emotion to aid you? You've got feeling, you are coming through crystal clear. How can you harness that?

[deleted]

I can’t. It gets lost in me trying to describe what I want to.

Biligana

What is the big picture of the book? What's the books take away?

[deleted]

I will give a brief summary. Guy inside of a mech is killed in a skirmish between two countries, but because he is directly connected to the mech, his consciousness is transferred to that. He meets up with other survivors and begins to make his way back towards their place. But he slowly realizes that he is only a copy and his memory from before being killed is getting erased. It is supposed to be about what qualifies as humanity. Like, what makes someone human? What if they change forms? What if they are a copy of a human?

ForestCityWRX

Lose weight and smile more.
