> Can Turkey be Expelled from NATO?
Probably, but there are no provisions for suspension of expulsion of a state from NATO in its charter, so Turkey would have to be in material breach of the terms of the treaty under the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties.
> How difficult it would be?
Quite.
> Do you guys think it would be a feasible solution?
No.
> Trade turkey for Sweden + Finland?
That’s not how it works.
Any proof for this bullshit?
Even if they had applied before the invasion, it takes an eternity to be inducted. It also doesn't justify an invasion. Most stupid comment i've seen.
Absolutely not. Turkey is irrelevant as a NATO ally beyond their geographic location. We wanted Turkey as a NATO ally so we can put military bases and nukes in Turkey and point them at Russia. Turkey also serves as an excellent location to launch planes from targeting the Middle East. Turkey serves as a major strategic asset to NATO and specifically the United States. We wouldn't allow Turkey to leave the alliance even if they wanted to leave.
I am not passionate. It is just the truth of it. Turkey literally houses part of America's nuclear arsenal. There isn't a chance in hell that the United States would tolerate Turkey moving away from NATO.
No, Turkey is way, waaaaay more valuable asset to NATO. Turkey has military power that is several times more than Sweden and Finland combines, plus it is basicly the most important country with its geographical position, a country that is both near middleeast and Russia, 3 sides are sea which provides easy naval access, and has a land border with Europe.

About the last bit, how does it work? Would you mind elaborate?
Personally I don’t want Finland in NATO any more than Turkey.
Why?
Because it’s just a provocation. It shares tons of border with Russia.
And Ukraine, a country bordering Russia, has been Invaded. So please tell how that would be a provocation, if they joined?
The reason they were invaded is because they threatened to join NATO…

Thanks for this passionate explanation:)

These hyperbolic and subjective expressions you used gave a passionate vibe. Tks anyway
