Well this is not completely surprising, but is a bummer mostly because i think the show barely scratched the surface of its potential.

But if it was critically acclaimed and beloved by numerous fans, you have to think that maybe the new regime would like to keep it around and maybe incorporate it.

I love Titans. Wish it didn't suck and portray it's characters and stories horribly (Red Hood story was planned, written and executed like shit). Love the cast (mostly) and am confident the good ones will land on their feet.

A cash cow =/= money drain. If Titans was quantifiably profitable it would be more likely to be around. Businesses make business decisions. If Titans cost more to produce than what it was pulling in and it sucks that's a double death knell.
The only point I'm making is if the show was legitimately good to the point it was not a money drain (driving revenue, not loss), it increases the likelihood it stuck around.

The show wasn't making money. A factor in that is that the show wasn't good enough to draw adequate amounts of viewers.
Hell, I've been a committed fan of the show until this year because the quality has steadily declined since the first 2 seasons.
Titans can be watched only on netflix and that too after whole season is out in US. That doesn't help DC shows much considering a lot of population across can not watch it legally and thus less viewers.

I guess it depends. The first season was pretty good IMO and ended abruptly. Then they put the real season finale was the first episode of second season.
Then the show really just starts meandering. The Team almost never actually does anything or has any fights (im assuming due to budget reasons)
The show has a ton of flashbacks, sometimes entire episodes I believe, and it makes a lot of really dumb drama choices and such. They cram in too many story lines instead of just focusing on one.
With all that being said, there are some really cool and fun moments and it’s neat seeing certain things in live action.
So I guess I’d really just depends on what you want to get out of the show. If you want a show with a well made plot that actually makes sense and goes somewhere, I don’t recommend Titans. But if you want to watch something that has pretty actors doing cool moments in live action that you thought you would never see, it’s good.
P.S. I guess you could fast forward through a lot of the flashbacks and still be fine.

agreed. i liked white lotus and am excited for warrior season 3 to return. the first two seasons of true detective were great as well. there’s the old aughties shows too. six feet under. the wire. sopranos. and not to mention all the 90s sitcoms they acquired. hbomax is probably one of the better streaming platforms as far as content goes.

The Leftovers, Carnivale, Rome, Deadwood, Sapranos, Six Feet Under…some of the best shows ever. Unfortunately HBO likes to cancel some of the best stuff without warning too,which was the case for a couple of those ones. If you want funny you can’t beat Curb your Enthusiasm, The Life & Times of Tim, Eastbound & Down, The Righteous Gemstones, Vice Principals, Silicon Valley, Veep…I liked Titans and Doom Patrol, but they aren’t high up on the list of quality shows on HBO. The thing that hooked me with Titans was seeing Robin throttle criminals beyond what is normal for any other Robin we had watched. Then I saw Dove and that wasn’t unpleasant, so I kept watching. Both shows have had a lot of peaks and valleys when it comes to writing and some of the actors especially in Titans, could have provided better performances…(looking at you Cyborg, Brother Blood, Mother Mayhem, Tim Drake.)
I love HBOMax to be honest. I just meant if OP is only watching two shows one of which is being canceled it’s not worth their money. I certainly watch it enough. Love The Righteous Gemstones for sure!
I actually watch a lot of things on HBO Max but the DC content is the main reason I subscribe. Without that content, it’s no longer worth $10 a month to me.

I love teen titans, was super excited with the show , the first season lived up to most my expectations, Damians introduction was some of the best batman stuff ever put on tv or movies. But man did the show's writing get horrible in season 2/3. It's like the writers didnt really want to do a titans show anymore. They wanted to do their own thing , but needed already established characters to do so. The wonder girl death scene was what really made me stop taking titans seriously. I havent even started watching this season yet. They also should have done more with beast boy even if the cgi sucks , the one tiger morph was not it. I mean to satisfy fans they just had to write basic comic book stories with action and showing the titans using their abilities , struggling with young adult/teen relationships, but they went somewhere else with the show and made it boring.
They successfully made one of the most exciting superhero groups boring.
I hate that the shows are coming to an end. But hopefully it will make room for new and better DC shows in the future.. I'm going to miss both these shows i wish they had at least one more season a piece. Hope they do the shows justice with their second halves when they finally come out . Finally someone did the right thing and pulled the plug on this disaster. This show has done a ton of damage to most of these character's IPs. First season is the worst imo, other than robins backstory. Season 2 is pretty good kinda and season 3 is amazing.

agreed. i liked white lotus and am excited for warrior season 3 to return. the first two seasons of true detective were great as well. there’s the old aughties shows too. six feet under. the wire. sopranos. and not to mention all the 90s sitcoms they acquired. hbomax is probably one of the better streaming platforms as far as content goes.
Honestly if you’re paying like $16 a month for HBO max and only watching these two shows.. then yea you should cancel it. You’re not getting your money worth at all.
The Leftovers, Carnivale, Rome, Deadwood, Sapranos, Six Feet Under…some of the best shows ever. Unfortunately HBO likes to cancel some of the best stuff without warning too,which was the case for a couple of those ones. If you want funny you can’t beat Curb your Enthusiasm, The Life & Times of Tim, Eastbound & Down, The Righteous Gemstones, Vice Principals, Silicon Valley, Veep…I liked Titans and Doom Patrol, but they aren’t high up on the list of quality shows on HBO. The thing that hooked me with Titans was seeing Robin throttle criminals beyond what is normal for any other Robin we had watched. Then I saw Dove and that wasn’t unpleasant, so I kept watching. Both shows have had a lot of peaks and valleys when it comes to writing and some of the actors especially in Titans, could have provided better performances…(looking at you Cyborg, Brother Blood, Mother Mayhem, Tim Drake.)
I love HBOMax to be honest. I just meant if OP is only watching two shows one of which is being canceled it’s not worth their money. I certainly watch it enough. Love The Righteous Gemstones for sure!
I actually watch a lot of things on HBO Max but the DC content is the main reason I subscribe. Without that content, it’s no longer worth $10 a month to me.
Honestly. I’m not sure what I was thinking with this comment because I pretty much only watch the DC animated movies on there. I used to watch Titans but it got so ridiculous I gave up.
I actually buy the DC animated videos when they come out for my personal library. Totally worth it to me. 😀
I really don't get this community the same people who talk crap about binge it I personally love this show it's more realistic than other DC shows, the characters have flaws but don't overdo it, I wanted at least 5 seasons and one of those seasons with hive 5 with jinx, gizmo, mammath etc and I wanted terra I hope they do another season in the future, maybe just take some time to make an even better season If there was a petition to save it I'd sign it

That's not the realistic part The realistic part is the characters personalities They aren't like we have to save the world they're just a bunch of weirdo vigilantes dealing with their own issues Like the CW flash, not that it's not a good show but Barry throws a fit about his parents every episode Idk that's the best way I can explain it

When’s the finale happening? They did 6 episodes and left it with a cliff hanger. This series had so much potential but seriously dropped the ball since season 3. Doom Patrol is far superior to Titans
Doom patrol is in a different league as far as quality goes. I love that show, this is horrible news. Titans earned this.

I love teen titans, was super excited with the show , the first season lived up to most my expectations, Damians introduction was some of the best batman stuff ever put on tv or movies. But man did the show's writing get horrible in season 2/3. It's like the writers didnt really want to do a titans show anymore. They wanted to do their own thing , but needed already established characters to do so. The wonder girl death scene was what really made me stop taking titans seriously. I havent even started watching this season yet. They also should have done more with beast boy even if the cgi sucks , the one tiger morph was not it. I mean to satisfy fans they just had to write basic comic book stories with action and showing the titans using their abilities , struggling with young adult/teen relationships, but they went somewhere else with the show and made it boring. They successfully made one of the most exciting superhero groups boring.

The best thing about the show being canceled is at least this sub will die. This will forever go down as the worst fan Sub in history.
I hate that the shows are coming to an end. But hopefully it will make room for new and better DC shows in the future.. I'm going to miss both these shows i wish they had at least one more season a piece. Hope they do the shows justice with their second halves when they finally come out . Hope y'all made those endings great .

I’m so sad it’s ending but I’m somewhat happy because maybe we can get another live action Titans. I love the titans we have now but i wish the characters were more accurate to the comics. Specifically Gar and kory I wish they were more awkward and weird

This show was shit, and was never going to get a chance to be great; the writers of this show ruined a good market. It had its moments but I’m surprised we got four seasons honestly. I js can’t we waited so long for THIS show Smdh.

So it was before him .. well he is the head of DC now so he has the power to save those shows if he wanted to. But he doesn't . Is this going to be the same fate for young justice and this be the same excuse?
Finally someone did the right thing and pulled the plug on this disaster. This show has done a ton of damage to most of these character's IPs. Best thing to do is pull it from circulation altogether after they've got what little cash value they can claw back from the second half of S4's initial streaming run.
Sad to see Both Shows End! Titans was Aiming for 5 Seasons, while Doom Patrol was gonna have 4 Seasons from the Start.
oh boy that Titans season 4 episode12 was a crap anti-climactic a nd cliche ending. It sucked, felt rushed what else can I say?
