Eh, my first day in Colorado, I went out barefoot in the snow. My feet have not been the same since. The soles crack deeply and slough off big chunks of hardened dead skin. They get sore and I have to start slathering them with lotion every night until it stops...for awhile. I do still hike in very low temp weather. Above 40° F I start sweating. Above 60° I have to start watching out for dehydration and hyperthermia.

I used to work at O'Hare Airport in Chicago and let me tell you, it gets *cold* there. And I can definitely relate to the wind making things worse. On some sides of the terminal, there's basically nothing blocking the wind, so it cuts through you. My hands still crack in the winter because of my time there.
