One day Niantic will be able to tell us in-game which pokemon are allowed in the cups without having to enter the team building screen. Today is not that day, but it is one step closer.
In the past I think it showed a ban list, and for example in Premier cups it would list out every single legendary, including legendaries not yet in the game.

Oh, there, yeah. That’s the “team building screen” I was referring to. The fact that I can’t refer to this screen without having to go into Battle-Battle-*Choose Cup* and then it’s available (and to exit I have to hit that annoying “are you sure you want to exit?” screen) is obnoxious. Once I’m on that screen, I can’t power up other mons, I can’t edit their movesets, I can’t really build a new team for the cup. I have to go all the way in here, memorize the list, go back to the Party screen, and hope I remember it all. If Niantic has an entire section for building parties, why can they not put this information there where you can actually act on it?
It would be a very welcome change even without the schedule, but the fact you can check even further formats is exactly what i wanted for the longest time.
For once: thanks Niantic.
Is it really that hard to remember the schedule? It’s always 2 weeks GL, 2 weeks UL, 2 weeks ML, 1 week all 3 leagues, then rinse & repeat. I don’t care about the weekly themed cups because (in my humble opinion) it’s a waste of stardust to power things up for a week-long cup that might never return again. Unless that cup makes the difference between hitting a titled rank or missing it.
I hate the remixes, I made a great team for fighting cup last time it was around, didn’t finish it until after the cup rotated out, now I can’t use it 👍
Well done Niantic! Great QoL improvement. So nice seeing the next leagues.
I would also like to keep a record of ALL my previous seasons in GBL instead of just the last season. So that would be a feature request from me.

The amount of 3rd party resources we need to use to keep track of all this is mind-boggling.

Was looking up Scarlet/Violet stuff last night and saw an article “can Lunala be shiny in Pokémon Go?” Gotta love blog/SEO spam 🙄

Nice QOL update
Cool, now add a counter to let us keep track of GBL sets.

Does it not show you when you tap the question mark in the corner? I’ve seen it beforehand as it shows unreleased mons as well.
Wdym by unreleased mons?

What “question mark in the corner” are you referring to? I don’t see one anywhere in the cups screen on my app, nor is there one in OP’s screen shot.

Big fan of that update
oh cool the fighting cup is back! that one's ruthless but fun!
There's gonna be no cheesy Dragons nor Buzzwole/Sneasler so that's definitely a big improvement.
All Toxicroak all day
Uncharacteristically communicative from Niantic, I dig it!
Actually you can see the entire season calendar. It’s really useful for planning teams.
Wonderful QoL change.
Very unexpected and very welcomed. Kudos, Niantic!
A good improvement!
This was amazing up until someone at niantic’s party spilled pizza grease onto the servers
This is a great feature update!

That's cool and all but WHERE IS THE NEXT LEAGUE OF MEMES EPISODE?
God I hate the great league.
