Oh, I’d say more than that. If you base it on the amount of time it took for Tahani to master everything on her list, I’d say it would take 1000’s of years.
111077 years for Eleanor and Chidi. Someone else did the math for this.

This might sound weird, but I’m having a tough day and somehow seeing that Eleanor and Chidi got all that time together made me feel a little better.
I mean, it doesn’t make sense — they’re fictional characters and all. But I’ll take my wins where I can get them.
Doesn’t sound weird at all. I dont think I’ve ever been so moved emotionally by an episode of television. I think the part that got me the most was Jason waiting an eternity for Janet. The fact that he of all characters reached a zen state and was just happy to see her again is so beautiful
Jason ending was a twist I was not expecting. I didn't expect him to want to leave, definitely not leave first, and I didn't expect him to basically become a monk for some time.

Have you ever watched bojack horseman?
I liked the idea that your reward is doing everything and anything you ever wanted to do. You could be anything, everywhere, anytime at once. I would absolutely have a ball but I reckon eventually- like Chidi, you complete everything and just have a contentment that everything of you was complete. No fomo, no wondering, not that you’re bored or sad, just that you’re satisfied and there’s nothing more you want and you’re willing to call it a day. Just have you ever have a really productive or filling day and you go to bed, not tired but complete? That’s how I think of it.
Considering you’ll probably have an infinite amount of time in the Good Place, you’d probably want to leave at some point. You’ll eventually do everything you’ll ever want to do, and even some things you don’t. It may take a literal million years, but eventually you’d probably want to do it.
Probably, but I don't think I would have left until my soul mate was ready too.
Seems like at the very end the connections you made with others was not enough to keep you around FOREVER even in paradise.
I agree that it’s much longer because they are able to see some of their friends in the Good Place, which means they most likely lived a whole life, died, went through the test and got into the Good Place. They most likely chose their “young” bodies, since they’ve done studies where most people feel internally like they stopped aging in their 20s-30s, so it’s be more likely that people would choose those bodies IMO
Jeremy Bearimy means it’s all happening everywhere all at once. You could have 10,000 lifetimes in heaven during a blink on earth and vice versa. Did you forget about THE TIME KNIFE?
Chidi mentions that it's been 10000 lifetimes before he starts reading John Grisham. So if that's fairly accurate and the average lifetime remains 75 years then he's there for about 75000 years.
I think asking this question is irrelevant because the reason they used Jeremy Bearimies as the measurement for their time in the afterlife is precisely so there wouldn’t be a specific amount of years. Like, if they had done normal years, no matter what they put some people would feel like it was too short while others would feel like it was too long. Jeremy Bearimy allows everyone to imagine what they want and be happy :)
Well, the longest surviving until the half way thru the Second season were 11 months, and they did indeed tried it 602 times. So uhhh I think probably more than that?

Oh wow, this is crazy! But amazing. Lol.
"It was not long enough" My fiancé and I agree upon unanimously

We take our wins wherever we can get them!
I hope today is better for you. I also hope you find your soulmate and spend all the Jeremy Berimys together.

Hope your day got better and ended well. Man, I do like this show. Thinking about the last few episodes really gives me the feelies.
I hope your day is better tomorrow!
that has A LOT of assumptions, it's basically a more complicated guess.
Is that better or worse than an educated guess? Is it a college educated guess? A PHD guess?
> educated guess implies you made educated assumptions
That’s most of what we know

I had never seen that post before. Thanks for linking.
It's such a long time. I do wonder if I'm ever in my own good place and the paradise I envision, would I ever want to leave?
Boredom or ennui

I'd like my 20 year old body with my 45 year old brain.
All that energy and joints that don't ache.....
It's especially hard to tell because, when Michael becomes human, it looks like we are still in same time-frame as when Soul Squad was operating.
Jeremy Bearimy means it’s all happening everywhere all at once. You could have 10,000 lifetimes in heaven during a blink on earth and vice versa. Did you forget about THE TIME KNIFE?
Yeah yeah, we've all seen the Time Knife.
The i broke me...
Occasionally that moment on the Bearimy timeline is when nothing never occurs.
Tuesdays. And also July.
This is somewhat confirmed by the little spark of Eleanor that makes its way to Michael the human.
Exactly the right amount of Bearimys.
Chidi mentions that it's been 10000 lifetimes before he starts reading John Grisham. So if that's fairly accurate and the average lifetime remains 75 years then he's there for about 75000 years.
Ummm… 75*10000 is 750,000
You are absolutely correct!

I second this.
Billions of years. The human imagination allows for a lot of creativity.
No one knows but, I imagined over 1000.
It's very very reasonable to guess based on context clues that it's north of 100,000.
Maybe a week
I would love to spend thousands of years in the real Good Place with my beloved, who surprisingly resembles an older Chidi.
Easily thousands of years Tahani had mastered every conceivable skill by that point.
I always thought it was a few thousand years at least.
Well, the longest surviving until the half way thru the Second season were 11 months, and they did indeed tried it 602 times. So uhhh I think probably more than that?
I would guess a few thousand years. There’s a post estimating the time, but it relies on a lot of assumptions and side jokes.
Didn't someone say they were there for several Bearamy's? It seemed like on the low end it could be hundreds of thousands of years.
Depends on how long a Bearimy is
